Don’t Waste Your Money With Warranty Wise

Don’t waste your money with Warranty Wise. I’ve learned the hard way. Warranty Wise are great at selling policies but ever better at not paying out on claims….

They promise they are different to other insurances and will always look after you- but once the policy is sold they give the run around for any claim. and be warned - you beteer have the complete car service history or they wont pay. I have full history and they still didnt pay!

Rejected Claims

As an independent Garage owner I have now declined to take on any Warranty work related to Warrantywise. After dealing with this company for a few years now, every claim that has been submitted to them has been rejected even though the failure is documented and processed inline with the warranty agreement.

The company will find any excuse to reject the claim and prolong the repair process as long as they can. The customer basically gets left high and dry with the repair costs. They will send an independent (1⭐️ rating) assessor out to investigate the claim. They then take forever compile a report to say the failure is due to wear and tear and not covered by warranty.

The only good reviews are related to how easy the policy is to buy and hand over your hard earned money and then it’s all down hill from there….

Should be ashamed to be the Face of this Company but I suppose all the money will help him sleep at night.

**** Avoid At All Costs ****

Please take your 5* reviews with a pinch of salt.

If you’re looking for peace of mind when motoring, this isn’t the company for it.

They will out right refuse any claim made. Many garages will not even take on work if you’re looking to claim through warrantywise.

The sales advisors and staff are fine and give good service however the company itself is very poor and only good at taking cash in but not paying out.

After searching the web and being a part of many Facebook forums, we’re starting to see a trend of rejection letters from warrantywise with the exact same template.

Please avoid the warranty from this company and all 5* reviews are based on customer service. Not any of which who have had to make a claim for any issues.

My claim was for a turbo charger.

Their terms and conditions clearly state you must cover 1000 miles and 30 days of your policy to rule out any pre-existing faults or issues.

Despite that, they had the audacity to tell me we believe the fault existed prior to the policy being taken out.

After going through a complaints procedure etc. Still

Nothing at all.

Ultimately £3000+ out of pocket.

Don't Pay Out

The silver policy came with a second hand vehicle. I read it carefully and thought it gave me a lot of reassurance, it doesn't. Claim to be the "UK's best Used Car Warranty Provider". Would be 0 stars if possible. They have contacted Trustpilot to verify I am a legitimate customer.

I couldn't find a local garage to deal directly with them, because of bad experiences in the past.

Described them as "not worth the paper it's written on"

I tried to put a quote in myself

It took a week to process, with instructions not to get it repaired before authorisation, otherwise they may not pay out. They claim it takes 1-2 days. Did eventually receive an email saying if necessary I could pay the invoice and then claim

A week without a vehicle, very inconvenient, especially when you were meant to go on holiday in it . No sign of a courtesy car, which is promised in the policy, that is only available for the 3 hours the repairs are actually being done, garages normally do this anyway.

Of course they then wouldn't pay up.

Read the reviews, positive ones seem to be how marvellous they are at SELLING policies, negative ones about trying to claim

claim 2

My policy specifically mentioned air conditioning was covered as an extra. They have declined to pay for that too, apparently because it wasn't pre-authorised, but I do have an email saying I could do that. I am so far £1300, out of pocket, because NOTHING I have claimed for is covered. I understand not everything will be covered, but surely I'm not that unlucky. As a non-mechanic, I don't understand the exclusions, which is where 5hey take advantage of you.

DO NOT BUY one of these policies

Currently in the process of complaining.

After contacting the company who sold me my vehicle with warranty, Warrantywise have agreed to pay 1/5 of my claim, and the company are matching it, which they really shouldn't have to do as they are only a small company.

Even after agreeing to pay a discretionary goodwill payment for an invoice I have already paid there are more hurdles to jump through, notably asking the garage to make a new invoice in the name of Warrantywise, for a bill I have already paid, plus completing another form. Then they pay by cheque, and only send them out once a week.

Never Ignore The Negative Reviews

I had paid for a premium plan for 12 months. I have broken parts which somehow without any evidence from WarrantyWise have declined the claim and put it down as wear and tear. Pretty much every mechanical breakdown can be put down as a wear and tear cause.

I don't believe my vehicle's Intake Manifold which has cracked is due to wear and tear. The problem happened suddenly when I got notification from the vehicle. Only one was cracked and due to the one that was cracked, the other manifold showed signs of cracking, obviously it would have been due to pressure from the other part being at fault.

These are the steps I did:

Step 1 - My garage put in a claim for a broken Intake Manifolds, which had suddenly cracked.

Step 2 - Got Declined by WarrantyWise

Step 3 - I contested and wanted it to be reassessed

Step 4 - Garage sent further details

Step 5 - Got Declined again

Step 6 - Got told to make a complaint to customer services.

SOLUTION:

There is no solution. Look for another warranty provider.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

Look for alternatives, AA, RAC are better, as told by my garage. Dealers should not use WarrantyWise.

Important Small Print Trickery, Read This Clause!

IMPORTANT: read the small print, page 19 appendix F3.16

What a complete joke of a company.

"The plan excludes the breakdown or failure due to wear and tear of a part of your

vehicle with inherent, common and regularly occurring manufacturing faults which were well

publicised (such as Google Internet search)",

So if you have a car from a major manufacturer pretty much everything will have gone wrong before and someone will have posted it online, that means WarrantyWise don't have to pay!

They did this in my case with a blown engine on a car with only 52K and a full service history. I had the top cover with them and they refused it point blank, leaving me without the £5K Warranty cover I felt I was due.

DON'T USE as they won't pay, when you need it!

Stay Well Clear

Warrantywise are bad news, bad business continue to keep your personal and confidential details and harangue and harrass you three years after their contract with you is finished. The are relentless in harassment pushing you several times daily by phone, text and email. I sincerely wished my car dealer did not sign me up to Warrantywise. I nevsrf made a claim or even spoke to them. The one time I needed reassurance to know my car was covered they never returned or acknowledged my email. There are many, many reviews online to inform they don’t cough up or pay out. Three years on and they won’t leave me alone.

Don’t Like To Pay Out Genuine Claims!

I have tried to make a claim which is covered under the warranty but because the fault was detected on the MOT they refused to pay out. I have tried to explain to them that how would I know if there was fault that only the MOT inspection would pick up. I have paid over 2k for the policy which they took straightaway, the claim was for only £300 and they refused. I have lost faith in these warranty companies and feel let down by WARRANTY WISE.

Tesla Owners Beware!!

0* if Possible for this company.

Took out a policy with them back in May as they say they cover all excluding wear and tear, and even used an example of a recent repair that I had done which they say they would have covered before taking out their policy (Actual FACT they would NOT cover as you'll see below)

In July I Took my car to Tesla SC due to vibration on acceleration, diagnostic states Half shaft issue. Submitted claim to WW to come back decline based on Service Bulletins on Tesla vehicles. After research found that Tesla have over 600 SB on their vehicles which means any potential claim would be declined so why have a policy for peace of mind when the chances of being approved is slimmer than me hitting the Lotto Jackpot. Complete waste of time and to make matters worst they post approved Tesla claims that would not have been possible based on Tesla is renown for Suspension design flaws on MS and MX. Best to stay clear

Very Understanding

Warranty wise advisor was very considerate and understanding when I called. My car was still under warranty from a different company which was running out and I wasn’t sure how I can continue with my warranty. The advisor was able to understand outline options which were available for me to choose from to continue my warranty.
