We had previously worked with a number of SEO companies and been promised the world – with absolutely no results other than massive monthly bills. I run an E-Commerce website in the UK which until a few months ago was pretty much invisible to Google. Furthermore the traffic that was coming my way rarely turned into leads or orders. 6 months on and the benefits are big. Traffic levels are up by nearly 6 times and my conversion rate has dramatically increased with it. I’m ranking in the top 3 for my chosen competitive key phrases which is now paying dividends on my investment with Smart Traffic. Emptied my credit card without my authorisation despite telling them not to. The only contact from Smart Traffic was to demand more money – no delivery on the promises they made to me. No changes in any of my SEO sensitive indicators. No updates with the progression of any promised work. I am so disappointed and frustrated. As a small business ( rcmodelaircraft.com.au ) just starting out every cent is valuable. I have tried to undertake some SEO work myself but frankly just can't commit the time it needs with all the other business demands being a one man band. To be had over like this leaves me feeling sick. They may as well have robbed me straight out of the till!

Can I just start by saying this is a genuine review based upon 2 experiences of Smart Traffic over the last ten years for two seperate unrelated businesses.

My first experience was back in 2006. I had employed a different seo company to promote my website which resulted in a google penalty where I disappeared from the rankings. I then contacted Smart traffic who sorted out the issues and within 9 months had me ranking for on the first page for all my target keywords. My main keyword at the time Bespoke furniture I ranked number one on google above the likes of Neville Johnson probably the biggest company delivering bespoke furniture in the uk. Unfortunately the business went under in the 2011 recession and I closed the business down. I was in a 12 month contract with smart traffic with about 6 months to run. When I explained the situation they cancelled the remaining term without any penalties.

When I set up my new photography business I contacted Smart traffic and employed them again to develop my google rankings. Because of the several years that had passed since I had worked with Smart Traffic I was a liitle nervous incase things had changed with the company. I had no reason to be concerned within 4 months I was first page for 6 of my most important key words and top 3 for 3 of these. Also my rankings are improving month by month. The money I have invested each month has achieved twice the return of traffic compared with my adwords campaigns which I have now stopped saving me significant money. To sum up they achieve results quickly and efficiently. I have always found them quick to deal with any concerns or questions. I would certainly recommend them but not to any photographers ha ha.

This is a company hiding behind a few old awards. Be very aware....they will gladly promise results and then impose a penalty should you try to get out after month on month of tedious excuses.

I would sum them up as initially friendly, excuse laden, tending towards agression should you question lack of improvement in search ranking.

This company is persistent to get sales and rude once questioned on their approach and proposals. After countless missed calls from them in a few days. They hung up on me while I was explaining that they had not understood our market. Their proposal did not relate to our site and they would have taken our money and we would have gained nothing in return.

I have been dealing with Smart Traffic since December 2012 and within 3 months had 10 key words on page one. These key words were words that actually drove traffic and subsequent orders and I was able to sit with Smart Traffic and decide what these target key words would be at the outset.

Another bonus ,is that ,unlike other SEO companies I didn't start paying my monthly fee until these 10 key words were one page one. Therefore the ongoing monthly fee was self funding.

I have full visibility of the work done on my site each month, so I know exactly where my money is going.

I have an account manger who I can speak to at any time and feel I can always ask for changes and help with the website ranking.

The key reason for my move to Smart Traffic was the person we dealt with. He is a sales person working for Smart and was the person who initially won my business . Winning the business was not where it ended however, I feel he has also gone the extra mile to help me on several occasions since working in partnership with Smart Traffic.

I would throughly recommend this company to any business looking to expand their website business.
