My Esme Jenny Packham dress really did make the day perfect! The experience of wedding dress shopping was in my opinion the best bit about all of the planning, so I really appreciate the excellent customer service that I received from start to finish. I had so many compliments about the dress and I really felt like a million dollars on the day...and my dad cried his eyes out when he saw me!! Thank you for everything, will highly recommend to friends
Stay Away!!!
Stay away from this shop.
- staff rude
- staff have little product knowledge
- steamstress work is very poor
- not a enjoyable experience
DO NOT buy your dress from here, they just want your money without giving a service.
They do not deserve to stock these designer gowns... Take note of the designer and buy elsewhere.

Poor Service
Visited this shop in search if a wedding dress thinking it would be a lovely experience. From walking in there was a clip board pushed at me, no greeting or sense of a happy atmosphere. It was a cold experience, being handed tags to place on hangers of dresses I may be interested in. Then being helped into gowns by two girls who seemed rather disengaged and not particularly interested. No one seemed to actually consider that it's meant to be a happy experience. Also, apparently you can't take photos ''because of the designers" but in other shops with the same and similar designers you can...
I was in and out in around 20 minutes as it really wasn't somewhere I would want to stay for any longer and wouldn't entertain the idea of getting a gown from there. Unfortunately it was a poor experience but fortunately I found a boutique who do seem to care and really do want to help.
Poor Quality
Dress broke on wedding day. Called to complain to be told it wasn't their problem. No apology. £2000 dress and straps held on with safety pins.

Lovely Little Shop !
I recently got married in my amazing dress purchased from Amy Louise in Nantwich and I can honestly say I had a fantastic experience !
Upon my first visit, I was greeted by smart, friendly staff who instantly made me and my mum very welcome.
The range of dresses stocked are fabulous and I was absolutely spoilt for choice. I was there for quite a while yet it only felt like 10 minutes. It's quite a daunting thought, trying on wedding dresses in front of people you don't know, but at no point did the girls make me feel uncomfortable and seemed genuinely interested and determined to help me find my perfect dress !
As I'm sure most people do, I still shopped around as I didn't want to just buy a dress from the first shop I visited, but nowhere else compared.
So back to Amy Louise it was where I put my deposit down on my dream dress. At this point I was also made aware that alterations to the dress come at an extra cost so I knew to budget for that too (this was appreciated as there is nothing worse than hidden costs)
Before I knew it I received a call informing me my dress was in store and ready to be fitted to me.
Again, even my fittings were quite a pleasant experience and at no point did I have any doubts my dress wasn't going to be perfect for my big day. When it was all finally done I felt really quite sad that I would no longer be visiting the shop.
Each to their own but I find it hard to believe that some of the below comments are even related to the same place.
All in all The service I myself, received at Amy Louise bridal gowns was second to none !!!!!!

Very Poor Service
I visited Amy Louise Bridal shop back in 2011 when it was owned by a mother and daughter team. Their staff were amazing and I loved the whole experience. I then paid a huge deposit on a dress only to find in the new year that it had been taken over by a lady. I've got to say she had very little people skills and this prevailed as my wedding approached. Months before the wedding I was hit with huge costs which I was told were included in the original price. The cost was over £600 plus the cost of my dress. She blamed the family who previously had the business.
The biggest complaint I have was the seamstress could only get my dress ready 4 days before the big day, the night before the wedding I tried it on so my mum could have a trial run only to find my sleeves/straps were in the wrong place and did not sit correctly! I'd paid £200 for these! Luckily my mum is really good and fixed the problem. Instead of having a nice relaxing evening my poor mum was up late sewing.
As I disappeared on honeymoon my mum returned an underskirt and let them know about the problem..... She was met by a blank, disinterested lady who offered no sort of apology. I'm hoping I'm only getting married once so I won't be returning but I would like to offer guidance to future brides.
Can't say I agree one bit. I suppose some people just can't be pleased
I totally agree with you. The shop is going downhill fast.

A Very Underwhelming Experience.
I went to Amy Louise because of recommedations from friends, but these were obviously before the shop had changed hands. I went because of the designers they carry, but the staff and the shop were no longer of a standard I would expect from a luxury brand. I was met with what can only be described as a scruffy and indifferent young girl. I seemed to a inconvievience and the whole experience was a disappointment, the shop is obviously trading on its past reputation, to say the least. If i am willing to pay designer prices, I am willing to travel to a decent shop, even if this means another county. Very Sad.
What a load of rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My experience in Amy Louise was amazing!!! If you are going to add comments at least write the truth.
Yes I totally agree with you. Very poor service and scruffy stuck up staff
I went here too but then found a gem in Tarporley called Bridal Haven, go have a look, designers and service amazing!!

No People Skills
We found the staff to be unhelpful and unfriendly. Altogether a bad experience buying wedding dress from this shop. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Personalised Attention To Detail
I couldn't have picked a better bridal boutique to buy my wedding gown. The ladies at Amy Louise Bridal are not only warm and friendly, they are experts in what 'works' for a wedding gown, in terms of your preferred style, wedding venue, body shape, skin tone and personality. The experience of trying on gowns at Amy Louise makes you feel like a princess - the interior decor of creams and golds is so luxurious and the well lit, large mirrors really help you to decide what gown looks best on you. Apart from helping me pick the most stunning Ian Stuart gown (in the world!) they often rang me on my mobile with updates about the fittings etc and just to see how I was doing - I really appreciated that personalised attention to detail. My only regret is that I can't find another opportunity to wear my gown again!!!
