Motorola V3688

The Motorola V3688 is compact, stylish and looks pretty. Would make anyone happy. Strong signal. Good communication. Wonderful audible hearing. It doesn't have missed calls or day/month/year presentation on LCD, but it is a good clamshell phone.

I have had this Motorola V3688 phone for three years now and not had any problems with it, I have found most Motorola phones more able to take the occasional knocks ie its been dropped a few times. but it goes on ticking. It has however now become very outdated and the batteries are finally shot. It still looks good except the motorola badges have been stuck back on many times. As Motorola has not brought anything out to update it yet I will have to by some other brand and accept that I will have to replace it every 12-18 months. But will keep this one as a spare.

DONT BUY A MOTOROLA

I seriously loved this phone when I first bought it. Then, on the second day I had it, the keypad started playing up. The dealer swapped the handset for me. Sinse then, I have had the phone fixed no less than 5 times for the same reception problem. Incoming calls sounded fine on my end, but you soon found out that the person calling you couldn't hear you. Then, slowly, I stopped being able to make calls. So, basically I had a phone that was good for nothing except sending and receiving text messages, which was ok except there was no ID of who had sent the message - resulting in many trips to the phonebook to search for a number.

If size is an important consideration when buying a mobile phone, you should buy this Motorola v3688. It's not too expensive. But if features are important to you you would be better to find another mobile phones.

The motorola V3688 is a very compact mobile phone, people are still amazed at the size of the phone compared with current models.

The menu system is easy to use, once you get used to it, and the ability to create shortcuts to the most frequently used items is a help.

The phone has an in-built clock with time and date, although there isn't a facility to set an alarm or time and date stamp incoming / outgoing calls.

The phone doesn't use iTap predictive text messaging which makes sending long text messages time consuming.

Early models suffered with a lack of volume from the earpiece. Even with the earpiece volume up full, it can be difficult to hear the caller in noisy places.

The phone has a limited number of standard ringtones and it doesn't allow additional ringtones to be added.

The vibrating call alert is one of the best I've felt! When worn on the belt it gives a real "kick" when a call or SMS is received.

All-in-all a good little phone, however it is now outclassed by the V50 WAP phone and the new V66.

This little motorola v3688 phone is quite worth it but however you can lose this phone easily, cuz it's very light. I lost mine when I went out to play. And this phone doesn't have many features.

If you're looking for style the Motorola V3688 is it in a nutshell. Can't get more stylish. As for performance and features forget it. Although relatively easy to use, it fails on a lot of features that my old nokia handled easier....

I would never buy a motorola mobile phone again.

Avoid this phone like the plague. Having purchased one of these phones I was very annoyed when replacment after replacment the screen kept on breaking on them. In the end I finally got my money back on it (Thank god). A very very fragile phone with poor features and way overpriced at £179.99 at Virgin Megastores. There are better phones on the market for a lot less. I will never touch a Motorola again.
