The only insurance company that would insure my house

My insurance for my house was cancelled due to changing in their (Aviva) policies regarding proximity to water source, this in its self would not have been to much of an issue but they informed me well after the actual policy was voided and this impacted on my mortgage - my lender sated that I was in breach of contract because I did not have a valid buildings policy - PANIC TIME... so after a call to my insurer they said that they cannot now cover me and then said that I would have to inform any new insurer that I had my policy cancelled... I thought "what the hell", more expense pointlessly.

Did a search on Google did a load of quotes with no-one wanting to give me a sensible price and most stating that they cannot cover my property. more searchs and then blammo found homeprotect, never heard of them before but I was happy to see that they are underwritten by AXA, they are very familiar to me (had a commercial policy with AXA a while back and was very happy), and they said that they would have no issues with covering me that day... and the joke part was that their price was £18 cheaper that last years one from other insurer...
