Good Build Quality. Stunning Picture Quality, Soli

Good build quality. Stunning picture quality, solid structure, good sound and therefore perfect as a CD-player. I have had this player for almost five years now, with no problems at all. I have used it many hours a day playing CD's and one-two times a week playing DVD's.

The Price Is Good For What You're Getting And Well

The price is good for what you're getting and well worth the investment. 2nd hand ones can be bought easily for 150 euro or less.

If You Are Looking For A High End Dvd Player With

If you are looking for a high end DVD player with no fripperies and total non-mod multiregion you would be hard to beat the Marantz DV6200. RGB, SVHS , co-axial and optical outs. Works best with good cables eg Cambidge Audio or Ixos . Had it 2 months with no regrets

Picture Quality On The Marantx Dv6200 Dvd Player I

Picture quality on the Marantx DV6200 DVD player is really sharp but seems to be a bit too bright compared to other players. Unfortunately, the player itself doesn't allow you to adjust the brightness so you have to do it in your TV-set and if you're not able to store brightness settings on each channel then you're in trouble.

Soundwise, the DV6200 has HDCD and MP3 decoders which give it excellent sound quality. I tried an MP3 CD and found the sound satisfactory. Scanning the MP3 files was less satisfactory. Also there is no random playback of MP3 tracks. The fast forward scanning of normal audio tracks leaves something to be desired but overall, audio performance was well above average for a DVD player.
