This Bmw 3 Series 328 Ci Coupe Works For The Money

This BMW 3 Series 328 Ci Coupe works for the money I paid for it by pulling a heavy trailer almost every weekend and drives up and down the M4 - now has 134k miles - works like a gem. It's a good balanced car to get as it's more practical than a Porsche (ever seen a trailer behind a Porsche?) although I would rather one for the weekend...can do as many miles as a Merc - would outlast several Fords. Fast enough to be called a sports car although the performance difference between this car and an M car is significant for sales purposes (less revy).

Looks of this car can vary but a nice looking version, even after 10 years looks fresh.

I Had This Bmw 3 Series 328 Ci Coupe For Nine Year

I had this BMW 3 Series 328 Ci Coupe for nine years now and unfortanally I'll be forced to trade it in sooner or later. But I'm so fortunate to have owned a car of this good handling and good lucks. I just love this car!!

A excellent car for the driver who seeks a nice sports car for a reasonable price.

I Have Owned This Bmw 328 Ci Coupe For Three Month

I have owned this BMW 328 Ci coupe for three months and it continues to put a smile on my face each time I drive it. The styling is beautiful with a true sports car look and feel. The interior is well designed and has the typical cockpit look that BMW owners have come to appreciate. The car's handling is spectacular and is exactly what I expected. It is definitely a driving experience that is not matched by many other cars.

Having said that, this car is far from perfect. I am surprised that the engine does not have more punch to it. I find myself down shifting more often that expected in order to accelerate. The engine is way too quiet, almost Honda like. I have stalled the engine several times because I could not hear the revs. The fit and finish is average. It has been back to the dealer several times for problems with the brakes and suspension. There are a few squeaks and rattles that the dealer is unable to find, obviously to my never ending frustration. All these things are surprising for a car with 20K miles. I have owned several new lower end Japanese cars as well as a Q45. These cars were all far superior in build quality.

Now that the "bloom is off the rose" so to speak, I am still happy with my purchase. I fully expect that this car will continue to put a smile in my face for years to come. Just once in a while, I will have to grit my teeth through that smile.

Jim.

My Auto Bmw 328 Ci Has A 'dead' Feel When In Ordin

My auto BMW 328 ci has a 'dead' feel when in ordinary drive in top gear when travelling at about 70mph. Overtaking on motorways needs kickdown or selecting sports as the response is otherwise quite flat.

I also believe that the handling of the car gives a rather 'front end heavy' feel when cornering, unless the car has four passengers.Regarding the steering 'fix' available from BMW dealers - I own a 2000 BMW 328ci which has light steering but when I contacted BMW (UK) they said that there was no problem they were aware of and hence had no fix!

Does anyone know what to quote should as I want to pursue this matter?

Does anyone know of a BMW dealer who has carried out any remedial work under warranty?

Also - does anyone know of the changes due to the Ci's for 2002. We know that the saloon/sedan is having a facelift and some new engines (valvetronic) but so far no mention of what's next for the coupe. I thinks think that a 330 valvetronic will be available soon...
