Well, obviously you won't be buying one of these new any more, but if you're putting together a cheap PC for your mom to surf the web or whatever, don't hesitate to use one of these things. In my honest opinion it's excellent.

I Have A Ga-7vrx Board, Athlon 1800+ Cpu And Tnt2
I have a GA-7VRX board, Athlon 1800+ CPU and TNT2 AGP video card. My system always goes down after playing 2 or three movies. I reinstalled the system several times and it's still like that. Until I found this site did I know it was this board that causes problems.

The Gigabyte Ga-7vrx Motherboard Proved To Be The
The Gigabyte GA-7VRX motherboard proved to be the downfall of my computer. This computer went in 3 times before it finally took a really big dive. They were telling me it was the AGP card, so I kept buying new cards. No, come to find out from this website, it is most probable that its the board. Now it locked up in the OS and is refusing to load it again after the reboot. There was no mods or over-clocking involved. Do not count on this motherboard.

I Am Running A 2400+ Athlon Xp, With 40 Gig Hd 8 M
I am running a 2400+ athlon xp, with 40 gig HD 8 meg cache. 512 mb 2700 ram. 64 meg video nvidia geforce 2 mx 400. Running Win98SE. Had a heat problem without sys fan but after installation of 3 fans it was just fine. I have experienced no other problems at all. have the fsb at 148 with no prob, havent gone higher because of no need too. I Love this motherboard and highly recommmend it. Rating quality at nine just cause there are other better motherboards such as kt400 boards. but this is probably the most solid kt333 board i know of.

My Ga-7vrx Is Running An Athlon Palamino 1900 Mhz
My GA-7VRX is running an Athlon Palamino 1900 Mhz processor , with 256 Meg DDR Ram (un-certified), standard clock speed .
I got round the lockup problem by hitting the reset button at the end of the first boot attempt.
AGP card is a Gigabyte AG32S (Rage 128), a budget 3d model .
The overclock utility for the rage 128 card fails to install correctly , another black mark for Gigabyte , I suspected the video card as faulty until I found this review site, thanks guys I can go back to my supplier and give them a hassle.
The GA-7VRX was cheaper priced, but if I knew there was an AGP problem I would have picked another motherboard !
For all of you experiencing problems between your ga-7vrx mobo and geforce4 Ti 4200 here is the solution. Versions 1 and 1.1 of the mobo will not work with this video card. Revision 2 will work though. So, if you have a 1 or 1.1 (like I do) you have to contact gigabyte and they will have your board reworked...they wont replace or upgrade it. Go here to read about the problem and get the number to call. It has taken me close to a year to solve this issue.

Having Read All The Previous Points, I Will Submit
Having read all the previous points, I will submit my review.. I attempted to rebuild a friend's pc using a gigabyte GA-7IXEA motherboard. The graphic card is a sparkle nvidida 32 meg. With win98SE it crashed, with ME it crashed, with win2k it crashed and with winXP, you guessed it it crashed. In other words, every OS crashed before fully installed. The cpu is an athlon 850. I'm about to change the m/board to ASUS. Does anyone have any tips?

I Have Ga-7vrx, Amd Ath 1800+ T-bred(1.53ghz), And
I have ga-7vrx, amd ath 1800+ t-bred(1.53ghz), and samsung 512mb pc2700 ram. Regardless of multiplier setting(on board) I could not speed up the fsb anywhere near 166 without serious problems ie no post no boot no restart etc. Therefore my pc2700 ram capable of 333mhz must run at 266 and my cpu can only be bumped up to 2000+(1.67ghz) (using just the multiplier set at 12.5). Maybe I misunderstood the meaning of KT333(duh). Also there is major system instability when running the ram at CL2 so had to revert back to CL2.5. Basicly unless you want to run everything at some default (slow) setting then you will eventually run into trouble.
Bottom line is this board will be replaced with one more capable of unlocking the true potential of my cpu and ram not to mention live up to its own specs. :(
WHen I used the Corsair Value Select PC2700 that problem cleared up, the FSB apparently was stable but the memory kept crashing it. Hindsight leads me to believe it's the hotdogs. Those bits of meat were everywhere and when they overheated, it made an oiley mess in the memory slots, on the video card, and ultimately shrank till the bun was too large. I was pretty hungry too. AT least the color of the PCB contrasts nicely with the mustard, yet overclocking wouldn't burn off the dog residue and so I ended up having to replace the board with an Asus, which is immune to this sort of problem.

I Had An Athlon 1800 Xp With 512mb Ddr Ram, 60 Gig
I had an athlon 1800 xp with 512mb ddr ram, 60 gig hard drive and sb live 5.1 sound card on this main board. I decided to upgrade my graphic card from a voodoo 3 3000 pci to an nvidia ge force 2 mmx agp card. I installed the card and drivers and the system kept locking up in 3d applications. I reinstalled both card and drivers but still the same locking up. I bought another agp card, this time the nvidia ge force 2 titanium, this one worked well for a few minutes before locking up, I tried the usual re install but still no joy. I then tried the radeon 7500le, same result only with random shutdowns and lockups. By this time I was quite annoyed and decided to try changing the main board, I bought a nice cheap ecs k7s6a and wow, what a result, fantastic. I should of got shot of the ga7 vrx in the first place. the ecs k7s6a is fab, I've had no problems, lockups or game crashes yet and half the price too.
well... I have this MoBo and really it's just great! I have Triplex GF4 Ti4200 Millennium Silver overclocked to frequency of Ti4400 and NO PROBLEMS here!!... but I had this crashing problem, and believe me, it not the AGP. go to BIOS and check do you have TOP PERFORMANCE enabled or disabled, if enabled than disable it, and this will be the end of your problems people!!! on this option many of ram's doesn't work properly (I'm not sure exactly why), the cause maybe in settings of CAS Latency...
believe me, this mainboard is in my personal opinion the best thing I could get! no agp problems on this end :)
Wow I didnt think people like this existed!
Ga-7vrx definetly has a g force problem (Amended with some pretty ugly work!)But as for useing an ati with this board, I give a 9.4 thumbs up.
I was useing a radeon 7200 but have opted up with the 9000 pro.
As for the board itself, overclockers dream with the utilities to match!
Extremely easy to set up, depenable, cost effective and upgradable! Need I say more, yes watch the revision numbers! 1.0 is a nightmare 1.1 (Thats what I got) not bad.
