I Would Not Recommend The Oritron Dvd-100 To A Fri
I would not recommend the Oritron DVD-100 to a friend until the power supply board was repaired. I would do this before a failure occured. There are no warranty stickers or other seals to indicate that the unit has been opened so there is no reason not to try!

3 Weeks This Oritron Dvd-100 Dvd Player Worked For
3 weeks this Oritron DVD-100 DVD player worked for. Then movies started skipping, then some DVD's wouldn't read, then the disc wouldn't eject... etc.
Poor build quality; especially under the case. I've since taken mine to a professor of optical science at my uni, and he reckons the lazer, apart from being on an angle (hence out of focus) is unbelievable in the fact it actually works.
Cheap, shortcuts everywhere, sound is horrid and absolutely no support from the manufactuer. Pay a bit more and get a real brandname.
Does Anybody Know how may I turn This DVD player fron Region 1 to Multiregion?

I Bought The Oritron Dvd-100 Dvd Player From Wooli
I bought the Oritron DVD-100 DVD player from Woolies when they first came out and paid £90.
At that time it was the cheapest new player i could find and I was surprised by its features like 5.1 and dts already in system but what really surprised me was the index system which was an excellent idea and something which other manufacturers should look at.
The player does have trouble with branching discs like the x-men by the picture freezing.
But in saying that, Die Hard S.E and Robocop work ok.
So if you're looking for a cheap, entry level player go for it. Plus it's now £70 at Woolies

I Bought This Oritron Dvd-100 Dvd Player From Wool
I bought this Oritron DVD-100 DVD player from Woolworths for £70 as a pose to the Alba one in Argos, but I'd had an Alba one before which just stopped working.
I wasn't fussed about fancy features and surround sound speakers etc, I just wanted to watch DVDs in reasonable quality. The Oritron DVD 100 is everything you could ask for for 70 notes.
It has a reasonable spec including a memory which enables you to store points from 10 different points of a DVD or different DVDs. This means you can put them in weeks later and start from where you left off. I've got it hooked up to my Aiwa stereo and it sounds excellent.
I would recommend this DVD player to anyone who is like me, no frills etc, just wants to watch films and keep up with the times.
