I've Been Using This Monitor 2 To 6 Hours A Day Fo
I've been using this monitor 2 to 6 hours a day for over a year without a problem. The picture quality is average but the low cost and good features more than make up for it. I also noticed the monitor seemed warm so I put a spare computer case fan on the side of the monitor case. I'm having trouble finding a Windows XP driver. The pixie web site only has Windows 95 and 98. I guess that will have to work.

Yes, I Started My Machine Up One Day And My Pixie/
Yes, I started my machine up one day and my PiXie/RIC model 770 monitor had purple text instead of white whilst the bios stuff is running at the beginning of the bootup (it was plugged into a quality PC power strip w/ surge protection). Now the screen will turn VERY bright purple or lavender and nearly obscure the text or whatever's supposed to be shown. Vibration makes it worse; like w/ a horizonal zigzag of bright trace lines across the screen from top to botton. Considered getting it repaired but found it cheaper to just buy a new one (NOT another RIC!).

Got The Pixie/ric Model 770 Monitor For $100us Aft
Got the PiXie/RIC model 770 monitor for $100US after rebates. It was only $179US w/o rebates. Been using it for 12+ hours every day for 18months. Except for adding the fan, I just run it. No problems w/color, V-sync or anything else. I do use the De Gauss feature every 3-4 days to keep it 'in sync' & am glad it has that feature & the 'sleep mode' when not in use (hardly ever). Graphics are crisp & I'm quite happy w/my 770c. :o)

I Have Been Using My Model 770 Since Around March
I have been using my model 770 since around March 1999 with no problems so far. It was cheap and had a mail-in rebate at Fry's Electronics. The maximum resolution is 1280x1024, which is better than I need for a 17-inch monitor anyway.
I'm glad he had good success, My Pixie lasted about 8 months using about 2 hours a week. I was blasted by arrogant Service Support Supervisor, when I asked for help, and their call in number is merely an answering machine. Only buy this if you are prepared to throw it away soon, as you wouldn't want to experience the condescending attitude through their E-mail. Their fix to your problem is to irritate you to go away and there is no follow up number to call. "Buyer be VERY aware"
