The Goodmans Gdc 3116 Tft Digital Camera Eats Batt
The Goodmans GDC 3116 TFT digital camera eats batteries like there going out of fashion. Software didn't work with XP as was advertised. Only lasted long enough for the 1 year warranty to expire then gave up the ghost for no apparent reason.
That comment wasn't from Grizlord because I'm him! Who ever put up that comment is an imposter! Google Grizlord to find out who the real Grizlord is.

Generaly I Like Goodmans Products But Have Some Re
Generaly i like Goodmans products but have some reverance about this as the battery life is so small .I constantly keep a set of batteries on charge and have to take at least 2 sets of fully charged batteries with me. I have found that if you limit your use of the screen it gives you a little more time to take photoes. I have yet to get to the 201 image limit before the batteries die on me.
I agree. the battery life is dismal. Never buy one for a teenager. They will just give up using the camera and you are 80 quid out of pocket.
Can someone send the driver to me if its not to much trouble as i go to that page and it dont work if u can send it to
i thank u in advance for all ur help

I Bought This Camera At August 2002 Not Expecting
I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA AT AUGUST 2002 NOT EXPECTING AT MAYBE HAVING TO BUY SHARES IN "DURACELL". I HAVE BEEN TOTALLY APALLED BY THE BATTERY LIFE .YES THE PICTURE QUALITY IS GREAT, ESPECIALLY AT 3.1 MILLION PIXELS IT SHOULD BE, BUT EVEN AT THAT THERE IS AT LEAST A 10 SECOND DELAY IN EACH PICTURE YOU TAKE. SO ANYONE GOING TO BUY THIS PRODUCT PLEASE DON'T AS YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF SLIGHTLY ANNOYED JUST LIKE ME AND I AM SURE LIKE OTHER PEOPLE

Would Be A Good Camera If It Worked For More Than
Would be a good camera if it worked for more than 3 months without giving up on me!
The battery compartment on the GDC 3116TFT is a fraction oversize for a typical AA battery, i also have had this problem, I found a set of rechargables that have the positive end of the battery protruding a little more than usual - this may sound odd but it's true, you check out the varying sizes in the same battery class and you'll see what i mean! so maybe that'll sort you out - oversized batteries! you never know... (mine a maxell, in case you're wondering...)

I got it for a Christmas present for my husband and feel awful it won't work
get the Windows XP drivers for the GDC 3116TFT here:
http://www.tvcdesign.co.uk/extra
or buy a USB Card Reader - XP loves USB Devices, pop the card out of the cam, into the reader and within the matter of seconds you'll have a folder of images on your desktop...
I know the feeling, Im on my 5th camera which I have just sent back today because it has stopped working.

All In All A Good Camera. It Takes Nice Pictures I
All in all a good camera. It takes nice pictures in the right conditions and is fairly easy on batteries. Menus are intuitive and the TFT is good quality. Bears much more than a passing resemblance to the Mustek MDC 3000 which costs £100 less. They are identical except for the name and the price, AND mustek provide online support.

At £149.99, Any Digital Camera Is Worth A Lo
At £149.99, any digital camera is worth a look, especially when advertised at 3.1 mega pixels. This Goodmans GDC 3116 TFT has web-cam capabilities (I haven't succesfully used the goodmans as a webcam yet, anybody?), TFT screen, is pretty small and has loads of space on the memory card that comes with the camera...
After owning it for 3 months now, I am still wondering whether I should have put a bit more money into the idea, only because of the things I already stated - no XP support, the web cam (in)capabilities. Overall though, you get what you pay for, and this is a fine example.
I had never purchased Goodmans gear before this, (on the maybe prejudiced grounds that I thought they were garbage) but you could say that i'm 'reasonably pleased!'.
I am using Windows XP and cannot get my Goodmans GDC 3116 TFT to work as a web cam although its states on the box it can but only at a 30 sec capture length. I have had my Goodman for over a year picture quality is not too good compared to my other digital camera, I have have some trouble with taking pictures when you press the button to take a picture the camera doesn't always do it properly
someone please send me drivers so i can get the web cam to work on my goodmans gdc 3116 tft, i would be so thankful... [email protected]
how do i use the 3116 as a web cam? i have downloaded the mustek twain driver.
Ok where do i get the drivers from ?
The new software supplied by goodmans, with the xp drivers will get the web cam to work, if you have a problem under windows ME, there are new drivers there for all versions of windows and mac OS X, the web cam feature on mine works on all versions of windows from win 95b and up to win xp pro.
I use the webcam under msn messenger and icq.
