I Had A 307, Bought It As I Was Travelling A Lot O
I had a 307, bought it as I was travelling a lot of miles. It has comfortable hugging sports seats, cruise control and climate control as standard along with sports whees and suspension.
Car drove great and gave up to 70 mpg on long runs. The only slight negative was the engine could have been slightly more powerful. There is a 136bhp XSi vesion now which is just the same but with a 2.0L 16v engine.
Get a low mileage one and you cant go wrong.

Overall Good To Drive, With Cruise Control Proving
Overall good to drive, with cruise control proving very good on the motorway. Good fuel economy especially on long journeys. Cheap tyres really effect the handling, so its worth spending on good tyres. Looks good compared to similar cars in its class. Would be good with 130bhp version and six speed gear box.

I Had An 306 Xrdt Before The Peugeot 307 Dturbo 2.
I had an 306 XRDT before the Peugeot 307 Dturbo 2.0 HDi 110 FAP, and unfortunately the 307 is not as good to drive, and it is far less reliable.

Good Economy Better Than My Old 1.9d 206 Tractor!!
Good economy better than my old 1.9D 206 tractor!! (which I thought was the most economical car ever!. Pleased with the Peugeot 307 D so far getting some looks with the 'all silver' bodywork .

The Peugeot 307 Dturbo Is A Decent All Round Car,
The Peugeot 307 DTurbo is a decent all round car, build quality is not the best, interior seems quite plasticy, even the sprayed silver bits. The best part of this car is the handling, there is hardly any roll and understeer is not a problem at all when pushing around bends. I attribute a lot of the handling characteristics to the PZero tyres. They are performance tyres (come as standard on the Merc SL55/65!) and wear is sacrificed for a softer rubber compound.
If this car was 150bhp I would keep it. You have to get the revs up when pulling off (especially with the aircon on). Motorway driving is a pleasure - steering and brakes are responsive.

The Peugeot 307 Dturbo Quite A Good All Round Car,
The Peugeot 307 Dturbo quite a good all round car, though compaired to my previous 306 d-turbo not quite as good to drive, over all much better than rivals for looks, finish and comfort, will look forward to see what the GTi has to offer!
I have just bought my first 307 02 D turbo HDI, and this is what's gone wrong so far...
1. leaking from passengers side
2. screeching noise
3. grinding noise when I pull away
4. CD multichanger does not work
5. horn not working
I must say I'm not greatly impressed by it

In Summary, Peugeot 307 Is Not Bad, Main Issue Is
In summary, Peugeot 307 is not bad, main issue is build quality, bits under the bonnet, very impressive mpg, ride is good, long runs are a joy, it handles well (though not as well as the 306 did), Dealers dont seem to be familiar with space-cadet electrics and issues related to them, like the finish, it eats front tyres - the pirelli pzeros seem to last about 15,000 miles and that's it, they are about 120 uk pounds each!
Wouldnt buy another one unless there was a GTI180 307, or a 150BHP diesel..
