My Grundig Fine Arts Gdv 220 Dvd Player Plays Very
My Grundig Fine Arts GDV 220 DVD player plays very good, haven't had a chance to try the 5.1 Channel out on it yet.
Can't get it to play CD-R's (Audio or VCD/SVCD). Not sure if it does even play VCD/SVCD

Nice And Simple System, However The Controller Can
Nice and simple system, however the controller can be a little fiddly and the IR transmitter on it isnt powered enough so you have to aim the controller right at the box otherwise it won't work. The worst thing i find about it is the dvd's skip after about an hours viewing and sometimes even 'crashes' after about 1 hour 30 mins viewing.

For Someone Who Like There Dvd's And Whats To Watc
For someone who like there DVD's and whats to watch them how the director intended this Player is for you. With Digital out, you can experiance DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 where you can hear the sound all around you, Very good sound.
With the other products in the range it goes together perfectly, With the "Tele Pilot" remote that comes Complete with the Wide screen tv, you can control all its brothers and sisters in the "fine arts" range.Available in Black or Alumnum to match others you may have. The remote that comes with the ACTUAL dvd player itself, not the "tele pilot" its ok, but as stated before, the "up, down, left and right" are a bit findly. But you only need to us then for about 40 seconds at the begining of the movie so its not a problem. The PAUSE and PLAY ect.. are all clearly marked, and not the size of pin heads. At only £220 a great price in its self, but at the moment CURRYS are selling it at a Sale price of £179. I dont know how they have worked that one out, but get your hands on one while you can. With features like:
> book marking for Favorite places in DVD's
> Slow motion
> Extremely easy change of "angle" and "language"
> Several play modes
You can't go wrong, A Five Star DVD player! *****
