Using ICS was a great experience. Every member of staff was helpful and my Tutor was especially informative and very efficient when it came to answering queries and marking papers. ICS is very user friendly from start to finish. Achieving my Diploma in Business Management has given me confidence, this is so important when attending interviews etc. Overall I am very impressed and would definitely use ICS again.

“Read the small print - ask lots of questions”

written by paullucas82 on 01/10/2012

I signed up to an ICS Diploma on Business Management to expand my CV and business knowledge. Everything was going well until after nine months, I called ICS for some support and to chase one of my assignments to be told that my 'support period' had expired and to get further support would cost me another £100. Support Period?? No-one mentioned a 'support period' to me. No mention of this in any of my paperwork. I wanted to pass the course so I paid for the extra support and was told that I could only extend my support period ONCE!!! After that, I would have wasted my money. I went with the three months extra support to get it done. I thought home study was supposed to fit in around work and home life. Obviously not!

“Thank you ICS, Excellent Dog Grooming course”

★★★★★

written by on 01/10/2012

I enrolled in this scheme as I live in the South of France, and wanted to learn a new skill but the language problem was a big barrier. A lot of english people here have dogs including myself and it is difficult to go to french groomers and get what you want. I found the course very informative, and easy to study as I could go at my own pace,to fit in with my lifestyle. The service from the Tutor and the advisors was quick and professional. The course material was excellent, and to be able to check how you are doing along the way with the assessments is great. I was able to complete the course in half the time that was allowed and I now have a small home grooming business started, it is early days but I already have a regular clientelle Would highly recommend this course if you have a passion for dogs.

I liked: *Study materials as it was very detailed. *All the sections were clearly explained. *you knew ahead about how you prepare yourself for the last asignments to finish the course. *Good practical work I did not like: *very difficult for the student who does not know sewing and have no experince in sewing. *No toturial available

Excellent course, easy to read and understand. However I would ask that the assignments be explained in more detail as although I answered the question on the first assignment it was my tutor who pointed out that more detail was required with an explanation.

Online tests were really good as you see the result straight away. The materials given to study were a little old and could be made more interesting and the diagrams could do with being easier to understand. I bought a book by Melissa Verplank in the end and upon reading that It made more sense due to the drawings being more inforamtive and detailed. My certificate was forgotten and I had to email to ask where It was, It was finally sent out but took quite a while. I also expected to get a certificate showing that It was a Diploma qualification like City and Guilds but It wasnt quite as I expected

ICS quickly enrolled me & sent out all the relevant documentation / folders etc. The tutor emailed back reasonably quick if I ever had a problem. The course itself was quite easy - probably should have been harder as it was a level 3 course. The only small issue I had was that they didn't send my certificate straight away and k had to email them on several occasions for it to be sent. Overall a good course & I would recommend ICS.

I was looking for a way to get a diploma in child care without having to leave my comfort zone. I C S provided me with this opportunity. The study period was very great and I studies at my pace. The test at the end of each course gave me that classroom experience and of course my tutor Ms. Jane was always there to guide me. I worked hard and earned my diploma. Thanks. Bimbo. Nigeria.

“Excellent provider and course”

★★★★☆

written by on 28/09/2012

I decided to undertake a course with ICS to try and gain some more qualifications to help me find a job. I found the ICS website very helpful and paying for the course was easy, all my materials arrived promptly and was really easy to get into. I felt all communication with the tutor was great and they really do make the course a pleasure to be doing. Each module of the course was well explained within the literature. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about doing one of these courses with ICS. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because it took quite a while to find I had passed and received the certificate after I had completed all the modules. I was happy with the information that I had received before my purchase and am happy that I have spent the money on trying to gain qualifications that can help me get the job I want and further my career.

“Creative Writing”

Received the package which consisted of a couple of books and some course materials. The books are readily available on Amazon and the coursework was more or less cut and pasted from various writing manuals freely available around the internet. All in all probably around £50 worth of materials. I thought the extra hundred-and-odd pounds worth would be made up of tutor support and feedback from submitted writing. Unfortunately not. The forum was exceedingly slow (about a week for the post to appear), there was no assigned tutor, questions merely being answered by whoever was available(with a two week wait in my case), there was no course-work or progress checks and when I submitted my final work there was no feedback other than a certificate of completion. Basically I bought a "diploma" for just over £200. I would not recommend this course. Buy some books and do research on the internet instead.

Although the material was up to date and presented well. My course changed half way through completing it and I was no longer required to submit practical work - had I known this at the start I would have not chosen this course. I also had to chase on a number of occasions my certificate it was never sent out to me which I thought was a shame.

Congratulations on successfully completing your ICS Diploma in Nail Technician with us. This qualification is a great entry point if you wish to for further your studies on a professional level. It is also useful if you intend to apply for jobs as a nail technician as you can demonstrate to an employer that you have previous experience because the course required you to complete practical elements which you have completed. Keep practicing your newly learned skills and start creating a portfolio of your own designs. All the best for the future, ICS Learn
