Steer Clear Of Royal London
Although my complaint with Royal London is about an endowment it is important that unsuspecting customers are made aware of Royal London's unprofessionalism. After full 25 years of paying into RL endowment policy, I received only £1930 above the premiums I paid. Shocking return, RL transferred from a Managed Fund to Deposit Fund 5 years before policy matured. This gross mismanagement caused me to lose a considerable amount of money. RL employees SB and CEO PL would not even respond to me. RL were totally negligent, and are well aware that we the customers have absolutely nobody to turn to so they can behave with utter contempt, and get away with it. If you don't want to lose any money then go to a decent company, not RL. Please keep away RL, they will only rip you off.
Pensions Customer Service
I now have a 2nd complaint in with Royal London, for personal reasons I cannot discuss on here.
There answering of the phone and trying to put you through t the correct department is nought out of ten. I am trying to purchase a product to cash in and I am getting nowhere. Today at 16.00 I requested a phone call back by 16.10 and am still waiting for that phone call now. This company is atrocious do not deal with them.

Beware And Go Elsewhere
I have been with Royal London for until I received their renewal quote. They wanted over £690.00 for building only cover. I looked on comparison and found companies selling the same plans from around £66.00 upwards also many including contents for a third of the price they wanted. Look around and keep away from this company. I renewed for £143.00 plus free extras. I will never deal with Royal London again after being mugged for so many years.

Stay Away!
I took over a Royal London Contentents Insurance policy form another member of my family who was with them for many years. When I tried to claim for a carpet which was damaged by a leaking pipe in 2008 so I decieded to claim for the damaged carpet. Royal ondon only were willing to pay around £70 - £80 and with the excess being £75.00 at the time I decided to cancel the claim. I decided to foot the bill and the same carpet cost me £118.00. Royal London are nothingbut money grabbers and are willing to take your money but when it comes to paying out this is another matter. I have since cjhaged my insurer for contents cover.

They Have A Rubbish I.t. System Repeatedly Sending
They have a rubbish I.T. system repeatedly sending out letters saying you have not paid the premium when you have. These letters have been sent both BEFORE the premium was due and many days after it has been paid. They say its a new computer programme, I was assured before I paid my premium that the problem had been fixed, so paid up, today received ANOTHER letter asking me to pay within 7 days. WHY ON EARTH WAS THE PROGRAMME NOT THOROUGHLY TESTED BEFORE IT WENT LIVE?,

After 9 Years Of Insurance With This Company I So
After 9 years of insurance with this company I sold my house , i had one payment of £15.00 left one monthly payment out of the 12 month. They charged me £10.00 for cancellation, not bad after giving them money for 9 years.
Q&A
How much a month to insure home contents insurance ?
We have a policy with them. Unfortunately my father, in whose name the policy is written, sadly passed away last month. Consequently his bank account has been closed and the direct debit that was paid to them each month has ceased.
Can they transfer the direct debit to my account in order to keep the insurance policy active whilst we get a grant of probate?
Thank you.
Regards.
