Win 250cc
I think 250cc will have enough grunt for me to handle, looking at fuel economy. Don't need something that's to heavy to handle, and easy access to parking.

Fast Reliable And Fun But Stiff And Sport.
I just made 1500km in 2 weeks. The handling can sustain a racing bike style very easely. On the high way you can go fulltrutle at 145 kmh on the speedometer AND NO DRAMA THEIR EITHER. Fuel is good as the specs say. The driving position is , for me at 5,11 more a thing to get use to,the seat is verry stiff like the ride in general, and you have to lift your feet to the floor 5 inches more than usual, just avoid bumpy road. Good engine and brisk acceleration.
The sound of the bike is ; silence when you are alf turtle with a roaring soud when push to max, super sound. Good quality for the intyre bike.It is a 10 out of 10. More sport than comfortable. You try to challenge your driving ability every ride. A big suprise for a...scooter. The normal every day driving is easy task for this bet and win it was engineering for much more than normal.KYMCO BET& WIN 250CC IS A SCOOTER TO HAVE once in your life.
I made a very good adjustment on the rear suspension, put in the 3 position witch more firm, but, does not bounce to the bottom any more. So is firm but not baging. A sporty scooter that you can have a lot of fun in the same time.

Changing The Temp And Clock
I recently bought this Bet & Win 250cc 2006 model and notice the temperature guage is set in Celius. Can someone tell me how to change it to Farenhite? Also I'm not sure if the clock can be set in military or regular time. Today at 12:30 noon I noticed the clock read

Have Had My B&w Since 2002. Bought In South Africa
Have had my B&W since 2002. Bought in South Africa & shipped with me when I moved to New Zealnd. 58,000km (36,000 ml) on the clock. Really reliable scooter but the seat is terrible: anyone know how to modify? Dash light failed just out of warranty - still need to try & fix. Supplied tyres were terrible and very soft, wearing out at 20k km. Muffler lost all it's insides at 40k but still works and is quiet! Do not go aftermarket. Puig touring windshld is very noisy but actually saves fuel! Great allround scooter - I change engine oil every 1000km and gear oil every 5000km.

I Got Mine Used With Only 300km On It. I Didn
I got mine used with only 300km on it.
I didn't like being all curled up with my knees, so I welded foot pegs to the lower front frame and cut holes in the body for the foot pegs. Much more comfortable riding now, 800%.
The seat is now the most uncomfortable part. After 30 minutes or so I have to get off for a while.
Can cruise at 65mph and gets 78mpg normal highway and city riding.
Tops out at about 80mph.
Great machine, the seat is the only problem now. I keep considering modifying the seat. With the foot pegs I would lower the seat and widen it.
Without the custom foot pegs I would rate the comfort very low.
The custom foot pegs I built extend my legs another 8" and spread another 12".. And I'm 5' 11' tall.

I Would Recommend Kymco; But Not Necessarily This
I would recommend Kymco; but not necessarily this model for someone 6 foot plus tall. The bike sits low; the seat is very uncomfortable and cramping designed more for a person 5ft 8 in. or less. It would be doubtfull I would take it on a long trip even after removing the but pad because the seat is so uncomfortable the way it is shaped. Rather than have a custom seat built I will likely trade it in a year. Definately not built for a tall person. I also find the ride a bit firm as compared to the Kymco 150 I previously owned. Other than these discomforts it is an excellent bike and value for a smaller person. I definately should have test driven one before the purchase.
You have same problem with uncomfortable seat...where can you get a customized one?

I Love Everything About The Bike Except The Saddle
I love everything about the bike except the saddle. It seems to have been designed for people with concave butts and is extremely rigid.
I have been riding motorcycles for years and never had one with such an uncomfortable seat.
I will have to get it re-upholstered or fatten my derriere!

I Bought Mine Used A Year Ago And Love Riding It.
I bought mine used a year ago and love riding it. Put a trunk and saddlebags on so I can haul groceries and well whatever I can stuff in it. also put a windshield on it. I live ruraly and my round trip rides run from 24 to 160 miles. All county and state highway. Good crusing speed is 55 on it. Had a lady friend riding with me and it handled the both of us really well.
I hope this Scooter thing keeps going here in the USA. Kymco Bet and Win 250cc are a lot of fun and great milage plus they introduce people to riding that normally wouldnt be interested in motocycling.
HI
What bags and windshield did you put on? Where did you get them? Any special way of putting them on or was it obvious from start? I bought two sidebags leather, waterproof from Jafrum. Great bags but cannot be mounted without some special way of mounting which I am thinking about.
Any help here would be appreciated. [email protected]
Are there any Kymco scooter forums anywhere?

I Have My Bet&win 250cc 2008 Since 2 Summers Now.
I have my Bet&win 250cc 2008 since 2 summers now. Every day drive is a super drive. At first I bought this scooter for gas economies period! But in a week I fall in love with this well build scooter. I traffic or high way it can accelerate fast enough. To change lane and move in the traffic not just to try to follow some other scooter one on the market.
I am doing 197km with a full tank when gas was at 1.43$ per litre so it come around 0.072$ pre KM not bad!
Any advice on redoing or making the seat better would be appreciated. Materials, where to get and how to make the seat better. Love everything except that brutal seat.
Has anyone tried seat addons? They have sheepskin-covered gel. But wonder how or if they would help?

I Have Had My Kymco Bet And Win 250cc Since 2002.
I have had my Kymco Bet and Win 250cc since 2002. Has not had any break downs and is very reliable. Power is great for a scooter and the cost was reasonable.
