Money Grabbers And Hidden Fees.

Air canada is trash and I would never recommend it to anyone. I arrived for my flight 40 minutes before they boarded, and they said I needed to arrive 45 minutes before. They then made me pay a $150 CAD to change my flight from 6 am to 1230 pm. So not only did I have to pay 150 dollars, i had to wait another 6 hours because they couldnt look passed 5 minutes. Not to mention the 20 dollar fee for every flight where you have to check your seat out. Pure trash, not impressed whatsoever and will not be flying air Canada again.

Delay, Delay, Caneled Flight!

NEVER fly Air Canada! Our travel group to Tel Aviv, Israel sat in the Nashville, TN airport from 7:30 A.M. until 4 P.M. with excuses first of a "weather" problem in Toronto and then a "mechanical" problem with the plane. After our group leader complained to the CEO of Air Canada we were given a free night at a local Hilton Airport hotel and a $17 food voucher per couple which won't buy much at a Hilton restaurant. We were out extra money for dinner. We were promised by Air Canada that our flight would go the next day but when we again arrived at the airport at 7:15 A.M. no one was at the counter and seemingly they had done nothing to get us to Tel Aviv. After waiting until about 11 A.M. we were finally told we would be put on a flight leaving at around 1 P.M. BUT it was routed through Toronto and Zurich Switzerland before getting to Tel Aviv. It took us 3 days to get from Nashville, TN to Tel Aviv, Israel. Coming back 11 days after the flight leaving from Tel Aviv was delayed by an hour. It was an exhausting frustrating trip due to Air Canada. NEVER fly AIR CANADA!

Victoria To Toronto And Return Packed Like Sardines

seating on both flights were terrible knees pressed against the seat then some guy decides to recline his ahead. Im surprised there isn't more fights! Never will I take this flight again. Yes it is direct and the staff on the way back were good-we actually got some peanuts and drinks-paid for of course-

Priority Seating - Lost Baggage

Wow. I arrived at the airport early, and was the second person in line to check my luggage. They lost it. I guess that's because I bought Priority seating. I phoned the "Baggage Customer Care Centre" who were able to tell me that my bag was now in Toronto. I asked them to ship it right away. Apparently "Baggage Customer Care" doesn't get involved in returning luggage. Someone else does. I'll find out who, when they call. It's been 14 hours and I'm still waiting for a call. I asked for financial consideration since I'm not exactly getting "Priorty" service. The "Baggage Customer Care Centre" said that their care doesn't extend that far; but they're sorry.

Lost Baggage, No Help

My baggage has been lost. the toll free number on website is not serviced. It is menu driven but when selecting menu items I am thrown in an endless loop. A connection flight with Lufthansa complicates things. They each blame the other for the lost baggage and are NOT dealing with the issue. I was told by the attendant at the airport to whom I reported the lost baggage, that if things worked smoothly she would be out of a job. In other words her job is at my expense. I received an email notifying me of a flight number on which my bag was to be sent however the website indicates the bag is still not located. Mixed messages or no messages. Rude, insensitive service and a system whereby no or mixed information is provided.

Worse On Board Service

Horrible food served on filmsy plastic. Staff not particularly helpful. I needed a wheelchair, no announcement was made to advise me to remain in my seat till wheelchairs arrived. When it did arrive I was not informed! No one from staff member offered to help me. I will never travel Air Canada again.

I travel a lot and this is the worst in flight I've experienced.

The ground staff were very helpful, they helped with my luggage and boarded us first.

Frustration. Cancellations. Overnight In Public Area.

Cancelled flight. Over booked flights. No compensation. No communication.

It is frustrating to see all the other airlines flying to your destination, yet watch as Air Canada cancel multiple flights.

Even more frustrating to be told that you can get on another flight, and then watch as flight after flight takes off with an army of angry customers on stand by.

The most frustrating of all is to be told that you need to come back in the morning , instead of a hotel you are given a pillow and told you can sleep in the public area tonight .

Yikes!! this is a dangerous and irresponsible company. Be prepared for the worst.

Nice Staff, But Cheapskate Experience

San Francisco to Glasgow, by way of Toronto.

Even soft drinks weren't free on the San Francisco-Toronto leg, though they did provide reasonable meals on the transatlantic part.

There was—effectively—no in-flight entertainment, even on the long transatlantic part. They had a WiFi based, use-your-own-device system, but it relied on installing a complicated app that most people around me couldn't get to work. They had a few tablets for rent, but quickly ran out. The bring-your-own-device idea isn't bad, but they shouldn't require an app—just serve media in a normal browser window. An app is just one more thing to not work right, unless it is extremely well written, which this wasn't..

They were extremely relaxed about losing my daughter's luggage for two days—forcing her to buy a new dress for a wedding she was to attend in Glasgow.

On the plus side, the flight attendants were pleasant, professional, and helpful, and the fare was reasonable.

Delay Delay Delay

flight delayed in Calgary and missed connecting flight to Victoria had to wait 6 hours...6 hours for a half hour flight!!! I am an elite flyer for business and this happens time and time again. You would think they would do something about this with all the horrible reviews!!! I will be booking my personal and business flights with west jet from now on.
