MAGIX Music Maker 11 Deluxe

i've been using Magix softwares for 5 years and i'mquite satisfied as a beginer, but to make something pro, defintely need to move to something more efficient

Magix's stuff is soooooo frustrating! It *could* be a very good (and cheap) product, if only the daft makers cared a bit more! It has some nice / pretty bits, -nice layout, and some of the effects units have a reasonable tone, = not too much noise, etc, but on the 'Net there are soooo many frustrated / angry Magix uses who have bought this prog, then found out about all the many hassles!

Yes, I too thought "Ooh, a German company, -they should be ok / trustworthy!" but then, -having bought version 15, I found out about all the awful crashes this product has, --all the frustrations with attempted downloads of Magix (expensive) 'soundpools', - all the installation problems, all the things which *should* work properly, but don't...

I have been a semi-pro user of sound progs for many years (10+) and have used a *lot* of 'pro' music apps, and so can compare... If you want to experiment with Magix, be sure you have *loads* of spare Gb's of memory (RAM) and a very good CPU etc, otherwise you'll end up pulling your hair out when the product refuses to do what it is supposed to do.

And yes, - like another reviewer mentioned, don't even *think* about getting a sensible reply from Magix 'product support', they just **don't care** once they've got your hard-earned money in their bank account!

If you are getting into music making, then buy yourself a good and cheapish product, like an older (pre-Sony days!) version of Acid Pro 4, or something, -they can be picked up very inexpensively these days, [on eBay?] and were _almost_ stable, -most of the time! :p Then edit your stuff on an older (again pre-Sony days!) version of Soundforge (4?)

And if poss, try to get rid of that noisy Creative Soundblaster card, -if you've got one, move on to a decent (quiet, and good quality) full duplex card like Emu, it'll be worth it I assure you! And have *fun* making beautiful music, and leave Magix products to those who love to pull their hair out in handfuls, even as they spend hours trying to put right what Magix should have done properly in the first place!

Moral: if you pay peanuts, you probably get monkeys! :p

i bought magix mp3 maker 14 deluxe. i should have thrown the money in the trash and called it a day. my computer crashed when i tried to use it! i would have contacted customer service but, there isn't any!!! run don't walk away from this product.

MAGIX Music Maker 11 Deluxe is very user friendly and expandable via vst:any instrument or effects can be easily installed and used

The Germans gave us some great engineering and this is one of them. It's actually worth more than what they are currently selling it for. I got mine for under $100 bucks, which is priced appropriately for the contents inside the programs.

This is the only affordable out there if you are truly on a budget.

However, if you're gonna spend some booco bucks, then go with Pro Tools, Sonar or Cakewalk.

I have figured out a better way to use the audio program without the use of any compression at all!

When you run out of mp3's, just place an order for more and you'll get a whole lot more to make more than enough mp3's.

As for the customer service, but you get more bang for your buck when you can figure out how to use the digital programs, the drums and drum machines.

[I Like software like this=MMM11Deluxe] because of easy to use and reliable but MMM14 i just cant stand as it keeps on going slow and getting to advance but if you are going like this [very advanced] then i would reccomend MMM14 but into ease of use then i would Pick Magix Music maker 11 deluxe.

Simply put, this is the poor man's version of Pro Tools. It can do everything that Pro-Tools does. And it comes with a lot of free plugins such as voice pitch correction software and Mastering software. Since I purchased this product all of my original music has been written and recorded on my PC. My Fostex 16 Trac Digital Recorder is collecting dust.

This software has drums beats, guitar amp modeling, built in effects which are astounding. I've had A&R Reps from Record Companies as well as professional Sound Engineers compliment the sound that my songs have. It's not so much that I'm a great recording engineer. I'm not. This software is just so damn good and easy to use it makes it possible for anyone to make a great recording. I don't work for these people I just love their product.

German Engineering. What more can I say? The Germans gave us some of the most reliable technology that we have today. From Autos to Rockets and now software.

If you are serious about writing and recording music you can not get more bang for your buck than with this software.

I have compared a lot of music creation tools in the past. Music Maker stands out to be the most intuitive one. other tools where too simple to get good results. And there where also these products that where simply too difficult to handle. This software keeps a good balance and enables all users to get the best sound ever. I love this product and would recommend it to beginners and advanced users.

I have several other applications that Magix could possibly help me with... but because of their lousy customer service I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole. Please, avoid them like the PLAGUE!

Hell it's good enough, if you want to spend hundreds of dollars purchasing high end programs by all means do it ONLY IF YOU ARE ALREADY EXPERIENCED. If your just beginning get this first! Making music can be a very expensive hobby. Remember this...its easy to throw a $50.00 program in the trash, but it will make you cry if you cant understand a $600.00 program. This is the safe bet.
