If You're Looking For A Cheap 2nd Hand Phone From

If you're looking for a cheap 2nd hand phone from a pawn shop, don't get this one. I bought my Ericsson T65 on a plan and finally the 24 months have expired. After 6 months the phones battery charging port didn't connect properly with the actual battery charger plug. Solution? Fork out $100 for a new charger even though the phone was still under warranty....

From then on this phone has been a great annoyance. It switches itself off randomly, it randomly crashes/turns off when trying to access "write sms" menu option, crashes when trying to call someone, etc. See summary of bad points.

Stay away from this phone.

My Ericsson T65 Was Exactly 3 Years Old When It Wa

My Ericsson T65 was exactly 3 years old when it was stolen. I was sad to see it go. It was still small and cute in a simple way. Its features are simple but adequate if you want to call and send sms messages and do a couple of other fun things in turquoise. The battery wont quit for at least 2 days even with severely painful radiation burns to your brain. 4 days on regular duty and 5 if you have no friends..I had to fork out a bit back in the day..but it's dirt cheap now..get it..it's a lovely little phone.

The Ericsson T65 Is A Good Mobile Phone, It's Load

The Ericsson T65 is a good mobile phone, it's loaded with features, has an awesome display using 4 level grey scale and upto 6 lines of text. Other reviews claim the T65 has dodgy reception, but I live in a remote part of Australia and still get FULL reception, they also say that the buttons are too close together I have no trouble whatsoever typing with the keypad, being a youth your always sending pictures and animations, this phone is great for it, highly recommended to any1

The Ericsson T65 Is The Worst Phone I've Ever Owne

The Ericsson T65 is the worst phone I've ever owned. Often refuses to connect a call with no reason. Any bad sim contact will lock up phone. Mic is on rear of case and picks up so much noise!!! Keys are soft small and hard to press. Menu & SMS system is painfully slow. Transmit power seems poor (people often can't hear me). Earpiece is 'shrill' making converstions unpleasent.

I Own This Phone Over A Year Now, So I Must Compar

I own this phone over a year now, so I must compare it with phones of its class/age. Its best characteristic is the battery: It lasts over 5 days, 24h-operation (after one-year use!), it has never let me down during a call, even if the battery was completely empty, and generally it persuaded me never to buy a nokia again (had a 3310 before, which allowed me a max of 30 mins of speaking with a full battery). No complains about the features, its size and design are still easily acceptable and the menus are quite easy (compared to the old ericcsons). About a month after I bought it, I dropped it in a swimming pool. The phone naturally was turned off and didn't work for days, even though I dried it just after the accident. But what made me admire this phone a lot, was that after about 2 months that I opened it and cleared it from some dirts, it started working again with no problems at all!! There are 2 things that I don't like, though. The one is that it turns off every time it falls down, because of the way the sim card is put in the phone. The other thing is that there are times that T65 is tragically slow. It excecutes the commands after 2-3 secs (s o m e t i m e s), so that when you press another button having thought that it stuck and won't do what you previously ordered, it does the two functions (the previous and the current) in a row, and consenquently the second one may not be what you wanted!

Most Of The Reviews Mention That The Phone Often S

Most of the reviews mention that the phone often switches itself off. I had the same problem at first, but fixed it myself with a little piece of paper. All it was, was the sim card that was not exactly held securely in place. Just fold up a piece of paper and stick it behind the sim. Problem solved. Otherwise, very robust - dropped the thing many times with considerable force and no problems. Fantastic battery life - I switch it off at night, and can last for over a week. Love the styling, size and weight. And has all the features and more I've ever needed ...well, maybe it could do with a sort of notepad.

Only thing that irritates me is that the display takes long to update when sms'ing (even though it does register the keys pressed).

The Phone Was Recommended To Me By A Sales Person

The phone was recommended to me by a sales person at Optus World Melbourne... (although since then he has left & I have yet to talk to anyone from Optus World who has anything nice to say about any of the Ericcson phones)...

- The SMS function did not work from the start...

- uploading/downloading of any data is NOT possible via the phone... even though it was advised it did.

To make a long story short - after 10 months of grief including software & hardware problems, they (Sony Ericcson) eventually agreed to inspect the phone... and advised back it was "water damaged" and voided all warranty.... dispite being given a full summary of history of the problems from 2 weeks since I purchased it.... very dissapointed in the whole experience.... other than the fact that Optus World Unley have tried to make good on behalf of Optus World & Optus.

I would very strongly recommend NOT buying a Sony Ericcson in Australia as:

- the product is not well described/explained to the staff selling them

- the backup/warranty support is very bad in my experience

- the phones are not popular with the stores who sell phones as they are difficult to understand/programme etc.

I Read A Lot Of Negative Reviews In This Forum Abo

I read a lot of negative reviews in this forum about the T65, I bought my T65 several months ago and I'm still very pleased with it. The battery live is great I charge around one in two weeks, the negative part of the long battery live is that I forget sometimes where the charger is.

The T65 is a mobile telephone; if you look for more it is maybe not the best choice. All works the software to exchange data with MS Outlook pretty good.

I don't know about prices of this telephone in the rest of the world, but in Thailand this is one of the cheapest telephones. Compared to phones from Nokia in the same price range it offers more (GPRS, Simple PIM functions, etc)

It is sometimes annoying that if the battery is empty it is really empty, not possible to exchange the battery or turn it on after a few minutes.

I totally agree with you, I have the T65 now for around 6 months and did not had/have any problem I read in the other reviews?

Just a great telephone for the money, great reception, great battery live….all just great.

I Chose This Ericsson T65 Mobile Phone Because Of

I chose this Ericsson T65 mobile phone because of its features. I am now waiting for my 3rd replacement handset. The first one lasted a month before I sent it in for repair. They upgraded the software and reset the sim contacts, 2 days later it was back in, and I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement. The second handset also lasted about a week before it went totally dead - the first time I tried to recharge it. I am still waiting for my 3rd handset to arrive. It has been 2.5 weeks now, and I am stuck with an awful GA628 as a loan phone.
