Poor, Poor Customer Service
I've had my ASDA Money Credit Card for a few weeks and used it about 8 times without any problems.
Last Friday the card was "DECLINED" when I attempted to pay in an ASDA store.
Ive have attempted to phone ASDA Customer Services several times. You are automatically taken through security (choose from a menu, enter card number, date of birth, 3-digit security number). Then you are told that you are being transferred to a Customer Services' Person, and the phone gets cut off. It happens every time.
I then resorted to the CHAT line using the ASDA mobile app. I was told not to leave the page and an advisor would be chatting with me soon. 28 minutes later an advisor did look into my problem. My account was being reviewed by a specialist team. The advisor suggested that I wait 48 hours and then try using the card again. If not successful then get back in contact and we can escalate to our specialist team.
This is not the way to run a Credit Card service, and the Customer Service is atrocious.

Account Under Review
Had my card about a month with £4500 credit limit. Been using it a few weeks and wanted to make a large purchase, still keeping under my credit limit the transaction was declined. I contacted them, they said my account was under review and I couldn't use the card for aprox 48 hours to 30days!...They said it was in line with their terms and conditions. Had to use a different card and miss out on the Asda rewards.

Confidentiality V Ridiculousness
I had been a long time customer of Asda Credit Card. I had always paid on time and kept within my credit limit. As I did not owe them any money I decided to transfer £600 from a store card on 0% APR for 12 months. 72 hours later I received an email ( not even a phone call) telling me that my request had been declined. Now my credit rating is excellent so I knew something was wrong. I asked them for an explanation but they claimed that they could not tell me for operational reasons.
I replied back asking them to close my account. The same person asked me to provide a reason. My reason was due to operational considerations, of course.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Shame on you ASDA for partnering with these losers.
Are you among those victim of crypo theft ...Little you can do is contact recovery firm,Why not contact [email protected] probably there could be something done to help out.I know quite a lot of legally affirmed recovery firm but I prefer the works recoverypro due to their swiftness to respond. They have high techexpert and experience Agents to help recover your lost or stolen funds or bitcoin,i lost 87% of my retirement money to fake binary option brokers but got it all back in 4 days after i got in contact with recoverypro.

Claiming Cashback
Although it is called “cashback” it is really a voucher scheme. The vouchers can only be used in store, so if you can only grocery shop on line because you don’t live near a store then the vouchers are useless. Also you need a printer to print the vouchers or a smartphone. Customers who have neither also cannot use the vouchers. I am now using a different credit card, as I am unable to use the cashback I have already accumulated.

Terrible Service
I've had this card for a while now and the offers and charges have been increasing at a shocking rate.
I'm surprised Asda has associated itself with this card company that overcharges and exploits loyal customers.
Go elsewhere otherwise you'll regret it!

Not What They Say
I was looking for a loyalty credit card, I found ASDA were offer £20 for taking the card (minimum 1st spend £60) so I went through their offer link, completed the pre acceptance and was accepted, I proceeded with the application, received and used my card. I fulfilled the criteria for the £20 but after 2 months I hadn't received it, so contacted them, only to be told I didn't qualify. I had followed their intructions spending over £60 on my first shop, I made payments on time. I am in the processes of cancelling my card and I am now using their competitors card who also quadruple points saved to use elsewhere, better choice all round.

Minimum Payment
Can't believe it,i have a 3000 pound limit and I have received a letter from them saying their concerned that I have been paying minimum monthly payment, and can I pay more, the most I have owed is about 300 at any given time and never missed or been late in paying. I can't believe it
I am not surprised by your difficulty with asda credit card ( creative finance).
This week I had a problem also ----- 3 days after my account was paid in full, by the usual direct debit, my card was stopped. (without any notification). I didn't find out until I went shopping!! The excuse was -- We are not a bank just a finance company, and we need 5 working days to clear payments-- This in spite of the fact that my bank had paid them in full 3days earlier. This is not a company to be trusted, and I will running down my account, and finding a more reliable provider. I will also be writing to the chief exec. of Asda to point out the poor service being provided to Asda customers by creative finance. Perhaps if every customer who has a problem does this, things might improve.

Cashback Vouchers Difficult To Use
I have found the card ok to use, although I have also experienced very tight credit limits (much lower than on other cards). The way round this is to create a credit balance by overpaying so that you can still use it.
My issue has been with the cashback vouchers - every time I tried to use one to pay I had to go to customer services as they do not work at the tills. I have used 4 or 5 over the last 7 months since I had the card and the latest issue was today (Aug 2017).
This is really annoying, as it takes 15 minutes whilst you have frozen food in your trolley.
I suspect they have no way to sort this out given their systems, so expect this issue when you use the cashback vouchers.
On the other hand, the cashback percentage is good.
Confusing! Passed Eligibility Check, Still Declined
On asda money website, it says the credict application decision is made. But my application is declined at the end. There should be any notes to the customer that the application result is not guranteed.
Q&A
would anyone advise a asda credit card and can you use it just for foodshopping?
Why have I received a letter from Asda credit card, saying they are concerned because I have been paying minimum monthly?
