LG LDS5811

Bought this product in the hope that spending a bit more money would be worthwhile. First thing to say is that it will not take modern full size dinner plates. Within a few weeks the rotating arm fell off and could not be replaced. We continue to use it. After a couple of years the on/off switch stopped working properly and needed a huge amount of perseverance to get it to start. Finally it just stopped working. Strikes me that a great deal of effort went into the look of the product which frankly is of little interest to me - i just wanted a dish washer that worked. Never going to buy any LG white goods again.

After the warrenty runs out the wires in the door to the PCB will break. By opening the door over 3 years the wires are so small they come apart due to metal fatigue. Poor design. Gasket at the base of the door also leaks. This is an expensive repair since gasket is built into the door and it must be replaced. Stay away from LG.

Likes-quiet and energy efficient.

Bought new to match other items in new house so far this is a POS, paid good money for it. It sure has a nice case and interior, if it would clean as good as it looks the other companys might as well close shop becase there is not a better looking unit out there. I hate to do it but I am going to have to put some full auto rounds into it and a few 12ga this horse can no longer do the job. About 1.5yrs use unit was new in house never used.

Motor died after 1 yr, had it replaced through warranty. 1E codes came up constant even after the replacement and now there's no power - it's less than four years old. It was supposed to be whisper quiet and it sounded like a lear jet taking off! The dishes never really came out dry. We had an LG TV that died within a year as well - will NEVER buy LG again!

runs for over 2 hours on regular mode and over an hour on "quick" mode. does not clean as well as advertised. rec'd an iE error after less than two years. thanks to some online help from other owners i was able to open the front door panel and find a broken wire, just needs spliced and its working again. this was the most expensive model and i would not recommend it again. the utensil trays broke almost immediately and now the forks, etc fall thru to the bottom. very disappointing.

I have an LG refrigerator and it operates great but this dish washer sucks to say the least. The motor / pump went after 2 years. $200, and weeks of aggravation. Then 5 months later the seals let go, $150. The racks broke. (Didn't replace) now the water supply code of 1E is showing up. I'm done dumping money into it. Yes it looks slick but don't let it fool you. I would get another one even if they were giving them away and trust me they are not. DO NOT BUY ..

Worked great for a little less than 2 years. Since then, problems, problems, problems! Quit working so I followed troubleshooting and repair recommendations and replaced sump assy. to no avail. LG support is dodgy when being confronted with problems. It's the worst money I've ever spent.

NEVER WILL I BUY AN LG AGAIN. THEY SAY ITS THE TOP OF THE LINE - IN PRICE ONLY. THE CHEAP DISHWASHERS I'VE OWNED IN THE PAST DID SO MUCH OF A BETTER JOB OF CLEANING AND DRYING THE DISHES FOR SO MUCH LESS MONEY. THE STACKING OF DISHES IN AN LG IS A REAL NIGHTMARE (TRY AND GET TRUE FULL LOAD IN IT). I HAVE HATED THIS MACHINE FROM THE FIRST USE - NEED TO RINSE DISHES FIRST NOW TOO. I LIVE IN AN OPEN CONCEPT HOUSE SO THIS "QUIET DISHWASHER" I PUSHED FOR. IT'S NOT QUIET ENOUGH AS IT CLUNKS AND MAKES STRANGE NOISES. I WILL BUY MAGTAG OR EQUIVALENT NEXT TIME. BY THE SOUNDS OF THIS ONE IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE IT NEEDS REPLACING - WHAT A LET DOWN. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I will never buy an LG Product again. I am on my second LG LDS5811 diswasher which was replaced by the seller. The first one leaked and did not clean the dishes, the second one does not clean the dishes either. LG does not have Customer Service and I am tired of fighting with them. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had, it should be recalled. Will check reviews before I buy anything from now on.

The LG LDS5811 is a total waste of money.. Might as well skip putting dishes into dishwasher. They get a hand cleaning before being put into dishwasher , then still end up with the food residue on them in spite of having a service call when the machine basically quit functioning several months ago. Oh for a functioning reliable dishwasher. Nothing fancy. Just one that does the job. By the way, it is used, at the most, once a day.This model should never have hit the market.
