Doesn't colour sound. Very linear. Excellent build quality with extra options not found in other brands at this price point. Small footprint big sound.
For the money you cant do much better. These aren't as bassy as the mackies and don't colour your sound like the m-audios. They have more options for setting up in your room unlike the competion that only give you a volume knob. The build quality is the best in show and I plan to also pick up a set of their big brothers in case I have to work on some tunes.

A review of the Yamaha HS-50M Stereo Speakers - I have been looking around for a decent pair of home monitors for some time. I have generally been very disappointed with what I have auditioned, most sounding like normal Hi Fi speakers. My advice is if your looking for a proper studio sound at an affordable price then audition these!
