Great Piece Of Equipment But Expensive Upkeep
I have had this processor for a number of years and it works fantastically, however I am at the point where I need to buy a third jug and lid at a cost of around 60 pounds. If you add 180 for 3 replacements onto what wasnt a cheap piece of equipment to start with you really need to question the value. I am now buying a kenwood instead.
Thr problem I have had is the top edge of the jug disintegrates as does the edge of the lid. Eventually both stop the lock mechanism working.

If The Food Bowl Is Inadvertently Over Filled It W
If the food bowl is inadvertently over filled it will lift the chipper or grater disc causing the pusher to be damaged underneath. I
know your answer is do not over fill. I have 2 X Magimix 4100 food processors but the on used at work is not always used properly, could there be s solution e.g like a micro switch that detects an unusual upward lift and stop the machine. Looked at reviews on the range of processors which seem to fair badly, all I can say there are some pretty inept users out there, I use mine a lot e.g. every day and I think its an outstanding machine.

Quite A Few Things Started To Go Wrong Very Early
Quite a few things started to go wrong very early after we bought our Magimix 4100 .For one a few parts easily worn out,I ad to keep ordering spares. Some of the spares can not be fitted by anybody so we ended up paying quite a lot to the service agents.Plastic parts obviously arent compatible with the strong other parts as they continiously get worn out.We are two adults & a 3 year old household & it is not in a heavy use even.We only do mainly juice maximum once a day,now & then some blending/mixing.The worst thing is there is nothing we can do to be able to smoothly use the product without always ordering spares. When we contacted the customer service to say there must be a solution we shouldn't need this much spares all the time, they had no suggestion rather than referring us a spares web site to order online. That suggests that this must be a common thing.
I do think for the money we paid it certainly did not do what it is meant to do for us.We wanted to return but as the product isn't new it wasn't accepted & we are stuck with it.I would never buy this product again.
