All this issues have happened to me for years till I have reported them to HMRC.

I will advice anyone who works with them to part away before HMRC knocks on their door.

These people somehow acquired my details and kept phoning, emailing and texting me about care and kitchen assistant jobs I had no interest in, and I had never asked for this company to contact me. They left a WhatsApp number which I used to say I never asked for their input, that I wanted no further contact from them and for them to delete my details, and that I was a cleaner and had no interest in being a kitchen or care assistant

The reply comes back ok dear thanks for letting us know. I replied back that I was not dear, in a professional setting I expected to be referred to as Ms ….. in the first instance, and that they were rude and patronising and I asked for a managers name so I could complain . Obviously I’m still waiting.

They’re a complete joke.

Very unprofessional and shady business ethics, a nightmare to deal with, refuse to use any other form of communication other than rushed phone calls. I was pressured to accept their offer, which the client hadn't even made yet, even though I had a competing offer on the table.

Take the biggest commission on contracts of an recruitment agency I've ever worked with, as an example the contract they had with the client was charged at a rate which would see them taking a 30% commission on the role, they left the rate on the cover sheet of my CV the client had on the table so I saw exactly what they were charging, which is 15% over industry standard(which in many opinion in the IT contracting sector is still far to high for companies that essentially do zero work). When confronted about the frankly huge margins they simply denied it and I was told I was being greedy by blowing the whistle on their unacceptable practices.

This was a first for me. I received a phone call at my home @ 5:15 a.m. The recruiter apologized for the early call but said it was difficult to reach anyone in Canada. Wish I had the recruiter's home phone # so I could return the favor.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. The worst agency ever. The client didn't like them constantly asking for money but not paying the workers Had to work a month in advance. They take a massive cut out of your wages, I know it was at least 30 percent and I suspect more. never listened or willing to negotiate your just a number to this agency. They promise good relations to hook you and pressure to sign the contract.

Nothing positive to comment , oh maybe the fact you can use the portal for your invoicing other than that nothing good here. Avoid like the plague.

Been lied to, about rates about hours, poor payment schedule (28 days) and all other agencies pay you weekly. No professionalism what so ever. By far the worst agent I have ever worked with, other contractors I have worked along side have said the same. They will make a lot more than 25% margin on your rates (found this out from two place I have worked and how much they have charged out!)

All I can say I going through agents is bad enough we all know they do nothing but take money for doing nothing, but don't make it's worse by going through this lot!

I had an engineering contract with a well known British Engineering Company through Progressive. The company wants me to continue working but Progressive have not renewed the contract in time so I am out of contract. Still working on a promise of a new contract but no payment post contract date despite assurances to the engineering company that I would be paid. I am now going through my pay with a fine tooth comb as I now realise what a reputation they have in the contract world.

I have worked through many agencies over the years and Progressive are by far the WORST agency I have ever worked through.

They usually paid me late and I was always under paid, it took many hours of 'phone calls to get the correct money paid into my Bank account. STAY WELL CLEAR - they WILL rip you off.

I have been an IT contractor for 20 years and had a short contract via Progressive in 2005. I found the agent I dealt with completely unprofessional. I was recovering from a heart attack which had occurred a few weeks earlier when he rang to berate me for speaking to another agency as I was technically still in contract to our shared client. I had at this stage decided not to return to the client and take some time off work. The agent's manner was very aggressive and I regret not reporting him and the agency to the client.
