Ordered cough medication 27th December that was out of stock everywhere but they said they had it. Days went by no medicine though they said it had been dispatched. Got in touch, they said it was on its way. Time went by still no medication. I cancelled the order & asked for a refund. After emails going backwards & forwards & them saying they had refunded the money twice I still haven’t received the money. Was only £6.30 but it’s the principal of the situation & this company mislead on many occasions. How can you dispatch an out of stock item. Do not use this company. My credit card has refunded me.

Refuse To Cancel Orders And Took 17 Days To Deliver!
Chemist Direct ignore any requests to cancel orders once they have been placed. Placed an order on 04th May for 3 items and by the 15th May as I hadn't received anything I emailed to cancel. On the 20th May the order turned up!
I have also previously experienced this with the other very few times I have used Chemist Direct so you should bear this in mind if you are thinking of using them.
In summary, it took 17 days for them to deliver 3 in stock items whilst ignoring an emailed request to cancel the order sent 5 days before they despatched the order.
Aside from Chemist Direct being slightly cheaper than high street chemists there is absolutely nothing about them to recommend.

Don’t Bother
Ordered essentials for holiday 10 days ago , received email yesterday stating one of the items not in stock and was delayed-that is why my order hadn’t been dispatched. Why didn’t they contact me before as I would have cancelled the one item and had the rest. Customer services appalling. Have now cancelled order and need to shop for my items two days before holiday aaaaaaagggg will never order from that company again and advise anyone to think carefully before they order because of the lack of communication from them,,,

did think this company was ok until my recent experience . ordered some goods that were promised for delivery on wed 3rd may 2017 ,they did not arrive. I phoned chemist direct on the Thursday to see what had happened only to be told that the delivery man had called 4.30pm and the delivery had failed ??? I was at home all that afternoon ,I live in a small semi and have a loud bell ...no one called ,I would have known ,also no card was left but I was told a photo of my house was taken by the delivery man . this turned out to be an old photo ! however I was promised delivery on fri 5th may but despite being in all day no one came. I phoned chemist dirct twice to ask them to confirm delivery was going to take place first at 2pm then at 4.30pm on both occasions I was promised the delivery would take place but it did not happen . I have now asked for my money back and will not be using this company again EVER ! I know things can go wrong but I hate being lied to .
will now update you on this review... on Saturday my parcel arrived but after I had signed for delivery and later unpacked it I discovered one item a glass bottle of medicine had a broken base and the contents were spilling out. so even more annoyed with this company ! however to be fair to them the problems seem to stem from their delivery agents DX . also chemist direct are refunding postage, replacing the damaged item and are taking the matter up with the delivery company DX.

Emails Not Answered Or Ignored
I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COMPANY AND WHEN SENDING EMAILS THEY ARE NOT GIVING ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ASKED.THEY RIPPED ME OFF REGARDING POSTAGE I WAS OVERCHARGED.I NEVER INTEND TO SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY AFTER MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.THERE IS NOT A GOOD WORD I CAN SAY ABOUT THEM.

Extremely Poor Customer Service
The delivery options are deceptive, inconvenient and out of order! Customer service is patronising, disrespectful and is an abuse of power.
I paid for next morning delivery at an extra cost (oh they took my £6.99 for it straight off!). But despite waiting in all day on the Saturday, they did not turn up. As their office is closed on Saturdays (apparently not considered a working day for them!) I could not ring them.
On Monday morning I was told in a very patronising, condescending manner, that I should have read their small print! I was also spoken to as if the woman in customer service was clearly inferring I was stupid! This was a big mistake, allied to the outrageous refusal to refund the part of the delivery charge for next day delivery. On the strength of their appalling attitude I will be making a formal complaint. I will never order anything further from Chemist Direct and neither will anyone I will be relaying this sorry story!

Please be aware that even for harmless items a signature is required and that deliveries are only made 9-5 Mon-Fri which is impossible for many people out at work.

Where's My Refund?
Placed an order for several items on 15th April. My PayPal account was charged immediately. On the 25th of April and after several emails, (one of the items was out of stock and delaying despatch) my order was delivered by DX. When I say delivered; I mean, left around the side of the house by the Bin. No signature. Nothing.
I opened packaging to find the "out of stock" item still missing. Fair enough. But the point is, Chemist Direct charged me the full amount for the item not received.
Opened a dispute through PayPal as Chemist Direct stopped responding to my emails.
Oi Chemist direct! Where's my refund?!!!!
Edit. In response to your reply. Since posting this review and disputing the charges through PayPal. I have since received a refund from Chemist Direct a number of weeks later.
The delivery company - DX - indeed left the original order outside in the open next to the bin. A card was pushed through the letter box, no signature was attained
Hi, having a similar problem myself, DX attempted to deliver my order to my place of work on 4 occasions, all I kept getting was a text saying attempted delivery failed, bit like getting a 'Sorry we missed you' card, which you get from the PO when they did not even bother knocking on the door..........
Now I'm going through what you went through? Trying to get a refund from Chemist Direct, been going on for 3 weeks now.........
As for the courier DX, I've already slated them on this site.

Placed Order For Next Day - Didn't Even Process It!
I had an absolutely stinking cold that left me feeling extremely ill and wiped out. I was also running low on cough medicine and too ill to walk to the nearest supermarket chemist so the next thing to do was order online for next day delivery!
I placed it before 10am and checked a few times during the day - nothing was processed! I waited the next day and was told it'd be delivered and not to worry.... only for nothing to arrive.
I rang the next day (the day AFTER it should have arrived so 3 days since order was placed) and found out that it hadn't even been checked by a pharmacist. The lady on the phone was very apologetic but said that they wouldn't be able to send it out as it was anyway because I'd ordered something that couldn't go with another (night nurse and a day time cough med - clearly I can't be trusted to medicate myself safely! Either that or you need to suffer during the day...!) and that they'd have to cancel some and send the rest....!?
I cancelled it whilst on the phone and luckily was finally feeling better so went to Asda where I was served with both - and more - without problems! Yes I paid more - but without next day delivery - it was cheaper(!)
I have since used a different online pharmacy for other items that worked perfectly - it arrived next day without even paying for next day delivery!
