Did Not Inspect Ebike Prior To Delivery
I purchased an expensive ebike from Tredz. Upon delivery the display and e-bike controller were unresponsive. When I tried to charge the battery the charger became extremely hot.
The pre-delivery inspection report missed out the electrical components so Tredz had no idea whether the battery and electrical system was working or indeed safe.
For safety reasons I strongly recommend not buying e-bikes from Tredz - go to a bike shop instead.

Damaged New Bike
I purchased an alleged new bike and spent 3.3k on a cube stereo hybrid electric mountain bike. When I received this and removed this from the box after delivery. I was very surprised at the lack of protection to the carbon frame within the box. After unpacking the bike I was instantly drawn to scrapes and marks all over the the bikes frame and forks! I hummed and hawed if I should complain to Tredz. On my initial contact to Tredz I was instantly presented with a defensive condescending member of staff who advised this damage to be natural effect of carbon fibre!?? The bike is covered in scrapes! I advised that I would seek a second opinion on the damage. I contacted her again a day later and advised that I jad a second opinion on the damage and could she advise on a way forward. Her reply was outstanding.. I also had a second opinion she advised and this is normal effect and then offered me a cloth, some polish and a £100 voucher. There was no concern from her about the quality of the product provided. There was no compassion towards me as a customer and a basic contemptuous tone of get over it! I received vouchers but left traumatised and feeling fleeced by the experience. Also the bike is a 2023 model according to bike computer and not a 2024.

Snapped Chain Stay
The chain stay snapped whilst out on a ride, clearly a weak point in the frame given carbon cant break from human force or so you 'd think. A member of my cycling club Ben Norbury has just sued Giant for £200k for an accident involving the same bike, built in the same year after a bad accident where the fork gave way, that simply shouldn't happen, but it did. Don't touch these bikes especially from 2020/2022. Its clear to me that Giant have rushed through manufacturing during Covid and have ended up with bikes that are unsafe. Tredz policy is to hide behind Giant unfortunately so it doesn't end up costing them. I will be going down the small claims route as I have a bike that cost £2,200 that's been off the road for over 4 months now and will cost £600 to repair. That isn't a cost the customer should have to bear given the warranty is for manufacturing issues which this is. Both Tredz and Giant have basically called me a liar as they don't believe what happened. They think Ive had a crash. If I'd been involved in a crash you'd think the rest of the bike would be damaged, its not! Its galling when you buy a bike in good faith and when something goes wrong the warranty isn't worth the paper its written on. STAY CLEAR OF TREDZ THEY DONT CARE

New Bike With Faulty Not Covered In Warranty
I bought a brand new bike last July 23 and I have started using 2 weeks which barely done 5 miles. I did change the pedals myself. Although the right side was flawed and after installed the pedal has caused stripped thread. They wouldn’t cover it as a warranty!! Moreover I accepted to pay the part and guess what? They reply saying it will take 2 months to be delivered!!! They won’t even take the bike back and get me a refund. I will look somewhere else where I will try to repair it . Please avoid to spend your money in this shop!! Totally worthless and disappointed!!

Cycle2work Users Beware - 30% Price Hike?!
Very disappointed with Tredz. lots of praise for this company on the reviews but when I have a cycle 2 work ticket in process and they up the price of a Haibike trekking 3 high 2023 from £1,999 on Monday 18th Sept to £2,749 on Wednesday 20th September I'm left very confused and stuck.
Tredz - 'Prices are checked daily and adjusted if required'
Me - All the other sites on Google sell this bike for under £2000!!!
Tredz - I am sorry I cant comment on other retailers
Tredz - I regret to inform you that we cannot provide a price match when you are using a C2W voucher
I need to beg my HR dept to cancel my ticket in process now...

Awful When Buying A Bike On Line
I have left a chapter and verse review on Trustpilot.
However a short word of warning, wham buying a bike beware. Their approach to customer satisfaction is appalling, if I heard it once I heard several times “it’s our procedure” “ we are sorry” “ there is nothing more we can do” !!
Incidents and accidents happen, what defines a company is how they respond when things go wrong. Well Tredz, you have certainly defined yourselves as a one star company when it comes to sorting out a damaged bike, because of poor packaging and a really bad courier ( DHL )
I personally feel you need to reconsider how you deliver large heavy bikes. The boxes are not strong enough. I work for a company and we send items with DHL and other couriers, but our packaging is designed to ensure the product arrives safe and undamaged. We spent a lot of time with our packaging company to design a box which will pass the drop test. It has sections which can be inserted depending upon the item and its size. Just feels like you one box for bikes, and while that may be suitable for lighter, cheaper bikes it was not sufficient for a heavy emtb.
Also perhaps look at a two man courier service for e-bikes to prevent manual handling issues for the courier staff??
Overall , the experience I have received has left me feeling bitter and unhappy, not the way a customer spending over £5k should feel.
There is no talking to the warranty department, they make mistakes, fail to reply to emails, but as a consumer the option left open to me was to leave a bad review.
I am sorry, I tried to resolve the matter in an amicable manner and gave you the option to sort of line but you left me no option. Avoid this company for all but small low value items.

Far Better Service, Products And Prices Elsewhere
Having worked in customer service I know that the level of service received here is awful. I certainly will not be using them again and have found far better bike specialists online with better prices and attitudes towards customers. In my experience companies that treat their customers poorly tend not to last the distance.

Returning A Bike Is Horrendous.
I’ve used Tredz before for smaller items and they’ve always been okay, but buying a bike from them was a horrendous experience. My wife ordered a Liv Embolden 1 on 27 August. She was on the border between sizes but went for a small. When it promptly arrived on 30 August, it was far too big (not Tredz fault) so we arranged a collection from Tredz for 3 days later at a cost of £35 and requested they hold the last XS they had in stock. All fine so far. The collection slot was booked by Tredz for between 1pm and 5pm. We received a notification that TNT would collect between 1pm and 3pm, but when 3pm came there was no sign. I contacted TNT who said it was a failed collection but they would never collect at this time as the van would not be empty. They couldn’t do any more as the customer was Tredz, so a call to Tredz and they arranged it for the following Monday. No collection occurred on the Monday, or the 2 more attempts after this. Tredz kept doing the same thing of booking a collection and hoping it would be collected, but with no success. Finally, on the fifth attempt, the bike was collected but this was just before the Queen’s funeral bank holiday weekend, so it took another 3 days to be delivered. Two days after it was delivered back to Tredz, they’re going to dispatch the replacement, meaning it would arrive while we’re away on a biking weekend (without the new bike that was ordered 4 weeks ago), so it’s going to take over 5 weeks since ordering (and 6 days spent waiting at home) to get the correct size delivered.
Customer services are always polite, but just can’t do anything to help and even escalating to a manager took 2 attempts before it was collected.
Refusing To Pay Cashback
Tredz are refusing to pay the cashback I earned through TopCashback that I earned for this order, despite it being fully tracked and registered as always. The only reason I chose to order from Tredz and not another retailer was because of the cashback offer.
Also, the bike build quality was poor, with the gears not indexed properly, multiple bolts loose and even the back wheel coming off, thankfully at low speed, otherwise it could have caused a very serious accident.

Do Not Buy From Tredz
Less than 1* service!
I purchased a Specialized Tarmac SL7 from Tredz using PayPal Credit. I then received an email to state that my order had been cancelled as the funds were not available. I was told by an extremely unhelpful advisor that I'd used the standard PayPal route and to contact PayPal. PayPal confirmed that my purchase was made using PayPal Credit and I could also see this was the case on my PayPal dashboard. I eventually spoke to a manager who swore blind that I hadn't used PayPal Credit (hint: I had).
I was told that I had to place my order again but risked someone else buying the bike. I managed to place another order for the bike and was informed yet again that I hadn't used PayPal Credit (second hint: I had). The manager called me back and informed me that in six years he'd never seen such an event and apologised profusely. He confirmed that I had indeed used PayPal Credit, despite a number of Tredz employees saying otherwise. I was given a £50 voucher for my trouble.
My bike arrived as expected but unfortunately the pedals I'd ordered were NOT included in the box. I called Tredz to ask what the problem was and apparently warehouse CCTV needs to be checked. I was unfortunate to speak with the same agent who took my original call. He was about as helpful as he was the first time around.
Absolutely shocking experience and I will never make another purchase from Tredz again.
