The Book Is Just What It Says It Is, That Is, A D

The book is just what it says it is, that is, a dictionary of Angels from A to Z. It has every name of every Angel that Gustav either heard, read or was otherwise informed of, I sure. Mr. Davidson writes as much as He knows about each [or as much as he'll let us know. There are a few listed that have no info. These are usually names from some very ancient and singular text or tablet or what have you. Some are believed to be just other names for a singular entity known to more than one culture or civilization.

There is an extensive appendix that has examples of Angelic writing and script. Sigils. Charts of ruling orders, celestial hierarchies, attributes and proclivities and angelic duties and assigned responsibilities. It also has a number of incantations that appear to me to be of a non offensive kind...what I might call 'White Magic' It also lists some demons...the major players anyhow. The Bibliography is just incredible...It reads like a section from the Vatican Library...So many occult and arcane works...many are centuries old...many in foreign languages...too many to count...but the Bibliography is 34 pages long and at an average of fifty references a page I figure Gustav had about 1800 titles in there.

I got mine used, excellent shape, for 9.95....I consider it one of the best books I ever got for under ten bucks...I would pay a lot more for a copy if I had too...a lot more.

Gustav Davidson A Dictionary Of Angels: Including

Gustav Davidson A Dictionary of Angels: Including the Fallen Angels:

This is a comprehensive and well researched text, although in some areas I feel it gets a little fictional. It has beautiful illustrations and is well worth a read if you have any interest in Angels.
