Everything Faulty - Breach Consumer Rights - Awful Customer

"you have purchased this for a business under a VAT Reg number, this means that the purchase isn't eligible for a refund." ???

1. Out of the box - first MSI monitor cracked + second MSI monitor has dead pixels.

2. Intel Nuc Mini 13 Extreme tower - When in sleep ticks repeatedly like a loud grandfather clock. Turns out after googling this, it appears this this is a repeated fault that has been occurring for a year without being fixed by Intel.

3. Told that it would be replaced and sent back to Intel.

4. New computer arrived miraculously within 2 days of returning it. And it is the exact same one I returned as I took photos of the serial numbers.

5. Told by customer service agent via email - you cannot get a refund as this was purchased for a business using VAT discount!

This is categorically incorrect and is a breach of my consumer rights. Time for a charge back - Thank God For American Express.

The Worst Company

Bought the firsts system, it had CPU overheating problems. The rebuilt system was built with refurbished used parts. Not a single component was new or in good condition. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WEBSITE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A NEW GOOD PC

Awful Experience

Ordered pc through them. Came without things I believed were part of it as the website did not give me options to add them as extras. As far as I’m concerned I’ve lost all my money as I’d saved for years and now I don’t have what if saved for. Buyers beware that things are not clear and you may not be ordering what you think. Customer support seems to think it’s a funny joke that people with no money save for so long and don’t get what they were expecting. Really awful. Would not recommend to anyone especially with vile workers laughing that you’ve basically lost your savings to them. What you get and what is extras should be clear to see and all extras shown in imaged should be made available when ordering.

Terrible Experience

Ordered a laptop from this company and was told delivery would be in 15 days. They withdrew payment of over £1000 immediately. The delivery date came and went with no updates from the company and no reponse to my emails. Finally got through on the phone to be told that they did not have the computer in stock and didn't know when they would have it. No apology or explanation as to why they felt entitled to take the money for an item they, apparently, had no intention of supplying. Told that my money should be refunded in 7 days but that remains to be seen.

*avoid This Company*.

Well, lest begin.

I ordered the fang book 3 from them over a month ago.

It ended up at £1741, i got it fast tracked and it arrived as stated.

Within the first week i was getting video memory errors from it, the 8gb Nvidia gtx.... Was a real pain getting it to not run the on-board graphics, i dont think i ever actually got it right , but, that didnt matter much when it started black screening within 7 days also.

So, they got it back to them, after a week they had identified a faulty mother board.

So, they said they were going to send out an immediate replacement, to which i was ok with (these things can and do happen after all) even with testing.

However, the replacement that was sent out was the bare-bone version of my model.

So i phoned them again, they said they were going to send out the parts, i requested a refund at this point as i had thoroughly had enough, the tech support guy said i had no chance, i took it higher (which sounded like the same person to be honest), and they attempted to inform me that i was over the 2 week money back guarantee....

I said that it was ridiculous, that is not even viable (as they were in breach of contract, twice.).

1 faulty goods, and two incomplete item.

Still, they refused, so it had to go to paypal.

I received a call from them, one of their team attempted to make me cancel the dispute on pay pal, so they could " get the refund to me "..........

(for all that don't know, you end a dispute, you cant reopen it, leaving you back at the mercy of a company that has a track record of this low level...)

Needless to say, i don't think so.

Im now in the process of getting it returned to them, and paypal to refund my money.

They may sound "reasonable" in all "official" correspondence, that the public via forums etc and paypal can see, but on the phone when your attempting to get your money back if they sell you garbage and incomplete items, they are rude, unhelpful and quite frankly do everything to refuse to help.

Do not use this company.

No Drama

Got my pc delivered as promised but had trouble straight away.No worries emailed the help desk and had help in a very short time. Unfortunately the power pack blew up in a spectacular fashion. After a quick email a new one was sent out. This is now a good machine, just bad luck to have the fault i suppose. All was sorted as quick as I could have wished. Thank you guys.

Build Your Own Pc!!!! They Use Poor Parts Which Fail.

When I first got my rig I was like everyone else, a week in I received the e-mail write a testimonial so I did,

I gave them 5 stars and said I was super pleased, and I am sure if you just got your rig and reading this you’re like yea me too.

I had an issue from day one, still does it to this day PC will start up then shut off then start up again, Cyberpower said this was normal and I listened. It is not normal but I can live with it. I really think the MB that came with the PC was faulty but they just won’t take the pc back once delivered.

It has now been 3.5 years since I got my rig, I am proud to say that because of cyberpower I am fully capable of building my PC up from scratch and I will tell you all the problems I have had.

-Firstly they did not overclock the PC properly, just to give you an idea I would now class myself as an ace overclocker. They gave me an overclock of about 4.0 Ghz, I am now as I am cable of clocking mine stably at 5GHz, but I keep it at 4.5 all the time. I can tell you that the voltages I used to achieve a 4.8Ghz clock are nearly identical to what cyberpower used for a 4.0Ghz clock, I could tone all the voltages down significantly and get a 4.0 stable clock so I am not impressed and those voltages were high.

At the time while running Cyberpowers settings my RAM failed so I had to buy new ram and re-tweek all the OC settings which is how I got good at it.

My G9x mouse failed, sent it back to cyberpower on the 10th of FEB 2011 and it took over 1 month to get a replacement back, just to give you an idea of how bad that is I had a faulty Razer headset and Amazon took 3 days to get a replacement. So after 2 weeks of sending the G9x back I had to fork out £100 for another gaming mouse.

Next my 5990 which I got with the PC was starting to conk out (not after a long time) but just out of warranty so I sold that and fitted in a new one

The G19 keyboard I got stopped working after 2 years for no reason

And now the best part (which made me write this review) my water-cooling system just up and died, cyberpower sent me one email on maintenance and all it said was top up with distilled water, now you might be thinking I should have known everything I am about to say but the reason you pay cyberpower is because you cant build it yourself, if you can you’re an idiot for getting someone else to do it. So back on track, 3.5 years later the pump dies, why you ask..well the inside of the waterblock corroded which then blocked all the pins and caused all the corrosion to run through the system which destroyed the pump. At no point did cyberpower say flush out the system every 6 months or so, also the tubing they used was rubbish.

So I have had to remove the whole water cooling system, and rebuild it. Keep reading for more issues…

I also paid for the option to have the fans fitted with rubber, one of the radiator fans did not have this,

the silent padding they put in came off after 3 weeks, don’t pay for this option

Neat water cooling tubing is just a way of saying shorter tubing so you have huge problems topping up the water in the reservoir as you cant pull it out far enough, don’t pay for this option

I also made the mistake of paying for tidy cabling, the case I chose has a section for cabling so all the did was cable tie everything together, don’t pay for this option.

I am now building a new PC, take it from me the PC is amazing when you first get it, then a year down the line problems start.

Use the internet to build your PC, they use cheap rubbish even when you pay for premium parts they break.

This rig cost me over £3000.

DO NOT USE THE QUICK DELIVERY SERVICE EITHER as they just put everything together in a hurry...

And on another note, everything I have said above is true. I wrote the same review on trust pilot and cyberpower has had them remove it, despite me having written proof of all of the above.

The problem here is I got in touch with trust pilot and they said because the.sale was over a year old they couldn't accept it. The thing is everyone reviews them too quick even I did on their website. They are terrible and should be barred it's like a bunch of chimps putting your pc together

misterwise

I have read more horror stories about this company than pleasant ones. Strange how the last 5 star rating was way back in February 2013.

From what has been written by those unfortunate to buy from this outfit, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

And I am more than sure that some of these '5-star' ratings have been entered by staff from the said company.

Excellent... Everything

Having seen mixed reviews for CyberPower, I was reluctant at first to go with them. After months of research about them (and ads in PCGamer magazine), I finally brought my computer.

Time: The computer seemed to take an usually long time to arrive - 17 days since I placed my order, however this did not bother me as they were simply waiting for the custom ordered parts.

Quality: The build quality is excellent, no dents, scratches, marks or abnormalities with regards the case and hardware.

Parts: The components used are brilliant and do everything I want with ease (running games on ultra settings!).

Customer service: Did not require any! Phone call received the day before the product arrived to check that I was going to be in (nice touch, better than an email).

Value: 10/10, suburb value, couldn't get parts cheaper anywhere else!!

Overall, I am infinitely pleased with the PC that I purchased from CyberPowersystem.co.uk an would recommend them to anyone looking for a budget or extreme gaming PC!

Fast Track Service = Slap Dash Service

I wanted a new computer for Christmas. I placed the order over the telephone, receiving email confirmation. I paid an extra £70 for their so-called 'fast track' service - basically delivery after 3 business days.

1. I wanted Windows 8, I got Windows 7.

2. I got a slow processor chip.

3. I ordered a solid state drive = no solid state drive.

4. I ordered a wireless network card = no wireless network card.

5. I wanted a card reader = no card reader.

6. I was promised a free game (Far Cry 3) = no free game.

Basically, I it seems they just sent out a 'off the shelf' basic unit that I could have picked up from PC World for a few hundred quid. I was charged over £1300!

I've contacted them and will wait to see how they sort this out. I'll leave further comments about their customer service.

Otherwise, a very disappointing experience with this company.

Cyberpower Systems Have Lost All My Respect!

I ordered my Cyber-power Pc on the 10th of October and the estimated arrival date was the 24th. Firstly it came a week late on the 31st which was a big let down!! When I opened the box I was Deeply impressed at how well they had packed it! Even though I didn't order professionally wiring the wiring was fantastic. So I set it up and booted it and installed A completely genuine Windows 7 professional 64bit. From that moment the pc has been a nightmare!!

Sometimes it boots up quick sometimes slow, also sometimes my desktop doesn't even appear all I would get was a black screen with my cursor. Control Panel, My Computer, my documents you name it there are loads of times when they just refuse to open and just show an error! I just want to add that I have installed ALL drivers! Cyber-power had lost a Customer! I will be returning my PC with haste and will be getting a pc elsewhere!!

Full Specs:

Intel Core I5 2500 3.3gh

Nvidia GTX560 ti 1gb

8 GB Ram

ASUS P8Z68-Vlx

1TB hard drive

Speakers Keyboard etc

Hope this review was helpful!

and if you do buy from Cyberpower i hope the same doesnt happen to you!!

2 words, custom build, its not there job to make sure your build is works with all the other parts, also it sounds like the power surply you selected just wasent powerfull enough, and with out pwoer, it will be as slow as a 2 pound computer. next time trying looking things up first, also it would be intresting to see your build if you could link it.
