Used Localphone for years with no trouble. Cost of calls is a fraction of the big Telecoms companies. I've ditched my BT landline and use a local number from Localphone. I've had no trouble with customer service.

Stay away from Localphone.com. Customer service will not replay to your concerns. I cannot make any call out. They have my money locked up in my account. Don’t be the next victim. I’m investigating now as to whom I need to contact to put this outfit out of buisness. This is rediculus. Localphone.com if your reading my review then correct the problem. I have not had any problems for the past 5 years until Tuesday 13/08/22 .

Since Tuesday I am not able to make any calls.

I had LocalPhone for a few years and used the "Dial Direct" service. I am in Thailand and call the U.S. It was especially a way to call 800 toll free numbers. Recently, I discovered how to use their internet phone and Joiper on my smartphone (or PC using their PC App). The call is only $.005 a minute. How can you beat that? And the call quality is perfect. As good as using my phone company's calling plan. Yes, I had a few problems in the past with Dial Direct, but it was still good. Just sometimes bad. Figuring out SIP calling on Joiper (free) it solved everything. I tried using InstaTalk India, and never got the credit. There are not that many good VOIP services out there. From my experience, especially now, Local Phone is one of the best and you should try it. It will do US$5.00 credits (choose custom). So not too expensive to try. At $.005 a minute that is a lot of minutes! Their PC VOIP program is even better than Joiper, but Joiper lets me use my smartphone and walk around. Nice!

I have been with localphone for years, but service has gone deep into the the Arctic ocean. Customer service is the worst in the industry. You will get wrong error message of "You currently do not have sufficient credit" even when you have plenty of credit. IT IS A RIPOFF! STAY AWAY FROM THEM

International texting is a rip off with ordinary cell phone providers in the uk. It is half the price with local phone. I have not tried the phone facility but international texting works first class. Recommended.

no good cnectivity some time your local number was stoped

poor connectivity is one thing, but to be charged for not established connection is worse. I used this service for 5-6 years for calling some countries like philippines and vietnam since the price/min was good. Connectivity was always so so, calls cut but still ok since the money was ok. But recently, happened 5-6 times in last 2 months, the connection was not established, the counter started to count seconds, charged of course 10 euro cents/min - with no sound coming from the loudspeakers. this is very bad and after 5-6 years i am saying: forget this service!

I was a user of localphone for long but recently their services have degraded.

I used thr callback feature to place a call from the website. I talked for a min and hung up but next time i logged in i found out my balance is 0 lol . the logs showed 40 mins for the calls !

will never use them again :/

Neways found a nother site instatalk.in way better quality and rates.

I have been with them for 6 years and thru a suggestion of their customer service I recharged my account and the product was not delivered! Thus, I requested for a refund due servIce not given and they told me even then I have to pay an admin fee for refund of my money which I recharged moments ago nor was i informed about the admin fee before hand! After 6 YeArs of loyalty this is what i get!
