If I Could Give 0 Stars I Would!

I have

owned 20 cars in my life, thankfully I did not buy a car from croft trade

centre, but after my experience I felt I should post a review of my

experience ... I went to view a golf after driving a family members

for a few days and enjoying it, so called up Croft Trade Centre to ask

about a golf they were selling and was told that the car was

"immaculate" and lovely, I asked a LOT of questions and explained I

was coming over 200 miles to view the car and really didn't want my time

wasted. I was assured that I would like the car. I drove the 250 mile trek to

view the car, this can only be described as the worst condition car I have ever

seen.

The

car firstly had a flat battery, the staff came over with a booster pack to

start the car, revealing when the bonnet was up that there was no air filter on

the car. Further to this the remote central locking did not work. On getting

into the car I found there was no stereo, no gear knob, and even the door

handle to close the door once in was missing. Next I inspected the passenger

seat which was covered in mud and sitting at a strange angle, on touching the

seat it fell into the back of the car - it was not mounted to the floor! On

looking round the outside of the car I noted a flat tyre and 2 bald tyres. The

brakes looked dubious (later transpired to be not working) and there was a

steel wheel on the rear passenger side, the rear passenger side also had

blatantly hit something and been badly painted over, you could still see the

top to bottom crease through the new paint. I opened the boot and lifted the

carpet and found the missing alloy wheel, smashed!! clearly this car was a

write-off that had been VERY badly botched back together for Sale.

I

confronted the sales person with my findings, I was VERY upset that I was lied

to in order to get me to come look at this car, to add insult to injury I was

told the stereo must have been pinched while it was in their locked garage and

there used to be one in it! ... I was offered £50 off the car to cover the

stereo and that no more would be given off as the car was priced to sell, I

made my anger clear to the arrogant young sales man who took it in his stride,

looking at the other write-offs they were selling I know this was nothing new

to him.

This

company are poison to the car trade and once there name gets out there they

close down and open under a different name to hide their shame, these people

and the cars they sell are dangerous!

Another Report To Trading Standards

All the other reviews are spot on, Purchased a car from them yesterday. Today its in the garage with a huge list of faults and the dealer does not want to know and was unbelievably rude to me over the phone. Car is DANGEROUS I drove it on the motorway and thank god i got home safe but the garage has told me it is not road worthy.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Im sure Trading standards must be investigating these people now.

All of the above is correct. I have had my review checked by review centre as I sent them my invoice and vehicle safety check done at the garage. They have seen this and reposted my review.

The car was in the garage for 4 days and I phoned the dealer after the inital report from the mechanic. My father takes all his cars to this garage in Newton Le willows and as I felt the car wasnt safe (all the vehicle electrics stopped working mid journey on the motorway) he told me to bring it in asap.

so you bought a car on the 7th .....died on the 7th......on the 8th you managed to get it to a garage who straight away told you of all the faults......and in that time you communicated all the faults to the sellers to be told f off??? drove home safe but now not roadworthy....makes sense to me.....!!!
