Wouldn't Be Without Them!!
I've had all sorts of bikes, jap, Italian and now American, and all sorts of tires.... My current ride, which I've had for many years, is a Harley VRSCR Street Rod.... Don't let the 'Harley' name put you off, this is their sportiest bike ever!!... These tires consistently help me keep up with jap sports bikes round the Welsh twisty roads!!.. Great in the dry AND the wet, I've had many many sets on this bike, will NEVER change, they're that good!!

How Grippy Are Dunlop Sportmax's...my Road Rash Tells Us...
I was riding a Susuki DRZ400 fitted with these tyres today for the first time. My ride required me to navigate some nice tight sweepers along the way and I relished the opportunity to enjoy time getting the feel for the bike and tyres. I was soon surprised by the feeling of instability and the lack of confidence the tyres provided even after they were given 4 or 5 K's to warm up.
I'm a highly experienced rider/ex-road-racer and am familiar with the roads around the area I was riding. Never-the-less, I chose one tight sweeper I drive or ride every day and lay the bike down lower than I needed but that would present more tyre edge to the road and almost immediately had a front end wash out. Thankfully I was travelling at about 30kph and only suffered a grazed elbow and knee and torn jeans.
Sorry but these tyres should never had done that considering they are touted as good grip tyres. They were not cold and I was not riding fast. There was no water or excess oil on the smooth ashphalt surface and it was gravel free. In short, the tyre let me down with little to no warning and no chance of recovery. One star Dunlop!

Bad Km's, Okay Grip
Ive had the Dunlop d208's on my DRZ400SM and i do some occasional mountain riding and a fair bit of commuting , the tyres always tend to slip and not grip giving me poor confidence in cornering. Wouldnt recommend buying these they also only lasted me about 3500km's which is fairly poor, im not a hardcore rider so considering that these tyres are pretty useless and bad quality.

Dunlop D208 On Drz400sm
I had a new 140/70 R17 rear tyre fitted to my Suzuki DRZ400SM K7 when the original tyres were worn out at 2500 miles. Now, having covered a further 2100 miles the rear tyre is squared off and virtually down to the wear bands - it's goosed!
Not only that, but the DRZ is no heavyweight (134kg) super powerful (39hp) superbike. And I am no hot shot rider being on the wrong side of 59 years old.
The grip is not very spectacular and it is easy to induce an unwanted slide on the rear not to mention the occasional heart stopping slide on the front.
I'm selling the bike just now otherwise I would be looking at a pair of Michelins or Contis.

I Have These Dunlop Tyres On My Cbr 600rr And Woul
I HAVE THESE DUNLOP TYRES ON MY CBR 600RR AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THESE TYRES AND WOULD NOT BUY THEM AGAIN.
THEY GRIP OK IN PERFECT CONDITIONS BUT IF IT IS EVEN SLIGHTLY DAMP THEY LOOSE GRIP EVEN WHEN THEY ARE WARM.
THE BACK WHEEL SPINS WHEN CHANGING UP GEARS THEN SUDDENLY GRABS AGAIN CAUSING SOME VERY HEART STOPPING MOMENTS THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED IN HIGHER GEARS.
I HAVE ALSO HAD THE FRONT TYRE LOOSE GRIP AND SLIDE.
ON THE PLUS SIDE THESE ARE GOOD WEARING TYRES THAT LAST AROUND 4K. BUT BOTH FRONT AND BACK TYRES HAVE WORN AT THE SAME RATE SO NEED REPLACING AS A PAIR.
I AM NOW CHANGING BACK TO MICHELIN PILOT SPORTS.

I Ride 100 Miles A Day, 5 Days A Week And When Ave
I ride 100 miles a day, 5 days a week and when averaging 2000 miles a month i find it hard to get tyres that can last and perform at reasonable cost. The D208's i have found to be ideal for my '02 636 ninja, i get around 4k rear, double front of hard riding. i consider myself to be a quick rider in the twisties and straights of the poor surfaced highland roads and these give excellent grip matching the performance of D207 easily. for me these tyres inspire confidence in corners and excellent stability at 170+. sun or rain the grip is never let me down and they scrub in quick. they must me blasted hard starting off to get the heat in though or your tail will slip away from you if going at it hard from junctions. they last well although my only gripe is when nearing end of life at tread marker they suddenly wear in centre quick. stepping wear in the front tyre has never been too bad and not really noticed until the very end of tyre life. i will buy as many sets of these tyres as i can until i find a better alternative, so far i have found nothing that can last as long as these at the level of use they get without paying over the top price. excellent!

A Really Good Tyre On A Warm Clean Road, But Intro
a really good tyre on a warm clean road, but introduce a bit of cold damp weather and maybe some rain and its like riding on plastic. i've had Dunlop D208 on my '04 636 for 6 months and i've spun the back wheel 4 times on a cold start. gonna try them on a trackday soon to see how good they can be when they're really warm.

The Dunlop D208's Aren't Good On Light Sports Bike
The Dunlop D208's aren't good on light sports bikes with firm suspension, better for heavier bikes with more weight to help warm up quicker, as seems to take longer to warm up generally than others I've had.

Dunlop D208 Is A Good All Round Tyre Offering A Ch
Dunlop D208 is a good all round tyre offering a cheaper replacement than the other manufacturers. I would recommend.
I have had three sets now on various Aprilia RSV,s I have gone for 180 rear section instead of 190 (quicker turn in ). Never had a problem I am a quick road rider who excels in the twisties. I have found these grippy wet or dry. No snob value with these tyres. I did have a pair of Diablo corsas slightly more grippy in dry but not that you would notice unless on a track maybe.
