We are a (small) company located in Europe and have been using 2checkout for several months. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend using 2checkout for European based companies.

We have had to deal with US tax office paperwork, the 90 day 5% rolling reserve is way too high (and we are still waiting for our reserve even though the 90 days have already passed!). Our average cost per transaction was 4%, which is way too high, too.

Comparison: we now pay about 1.5% on average with Stripe, and can highly recommend Stripe especially for European companies due to the low fees for European cards (i think fees for intl cards are higher, but still cheaper than with 2checkout).

The user experience in our case wasn't good either: customers had to re-enter all of their address data again in the 2checkout form, but this might have been a specific problem of our shop system.

after going through all your verification process & waiting for 1 month their risk team allowed us to use this gateway on our website. when our payment day arrived they cancelled all orders by themself without any prior notice/call/email. I should have gone through all their 99% negative reviews on Internet

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS GATEWAY/MERCHANT FOR YOUR BUSINESS, THEY CAN SUSPEND ACCOUNT ANYTIME WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION, THEIR RISK & FRAUD TEAM ARE ARE DOING NOTHING IN THEIR JOB

Total fools is the only way to describe these people.

I have nearly 30 years in the finance industry and retired to Thailand owning and operating several small boutique hotels and tour operations. I had a merchant facility without MOTO and went down the path (3 months) with these clowns ( I am being kind) who after exhaustive emails and carrying on said we didnt meet criteria because 'is restricted by our upstream providers.'

WOFTAMS... complete and absolute lack of service and a lack of credibility. Dont waste one minute of your time with these people and their moronic, ignorant and arrogant ways. Their representative took me on a wild goose chase with me asking if this was actually a joke at one stage... the lady I dealt with as useless as! She could have told me months earlier and not wasted my time.

I built a completely new web site for them at my cost because she said so!

I'm serious ABSOLUTELY USELESS.

When I tried to pay for my purchase with my Canadian credit card on the 2CO check-out site, a message said my card would not be processed because they only accept US currency! Never before has my credit card been declined for that reason. And, clearly, Canadian currency would be converted to US currency by this company's bank immediately. So, I was unable to buy. When I complained to the company whose products I tried to buy, asking them to investigate their check-out site, they refused. It occurred to me that 2CO might be retaining my credit card number and personal ID for some future fraudulent use. When I asked the company to get a signed and notarized statement from 2CO to the effect that the latter had deleted my information, the company refused. Following this, I reported both to the Better Business Bureau. I will never use 2CO again.

I had the worst experience with 2Checkout .

Absolutely useless,avoid at all means. Do not use,you will not benefit from there services,you will only lose money.

Customer service unhelpful ,rude and not able to help.

Stay AWAY,very dogy ,very suspicious,they closed my account and I can't get my money back.

We had the worst experience every with 2Checkout. They try hold $40,000 of our sales based on a class we setup for over the next 6 months. They stated they could not release funds into the service was complete...6 months from now. We when back to PayPal!

Search 2checkout.com before you use them. I should have! Lots' of complaints!!!

First realize, I could be sitting here writing a positive review as an employee of the company. Businesses do that sort of thing all the time to push bad reviews down the list or dilute poor reviews.

We live in a “High Tech Computer Age”. 2Checkout.com is not able to credit my bank account with the refund amount due me from a purchase. Can you believe that? I don't. I believe it is a way for them to keep my money in their bank account.

I won't use this processing company again. Something stinks.

They also required my pin number to process the transaction. STUPID ME FOR USING 2Checkout.com. I won't make that mistake again.

We have used them for 10 years and they have caused us more problems than all of the other merchant service providers combined.

The problem is that their staff act like a group of teenage boys who try and play pranks on customers.

We do not get many orders via their service (about 3% of our total) and so we have been a little lazy in removing the service from our sites but every few months they waste hours of our time with some piece of childishness.

Some of the stories on here seem a little outrageous but they are true - 2CO are a terrible option these days when there are so many better choices; when we started there were not many so we used them but take our advice - do not use them!

So after signing up to 2checkout with them telling us how secure and safe it is. It is the complete opposite. It is the worst payment service I have ever seen or used. Expensive, poorly supported and rubish for sellers.

We started selling stuff on our website, we installed the 2checkout module. We were then able to take payments in different currencies which was handy. They have a feature in the admin for 'fraud review'. Which someone accesses the transaction and passes or fails. THIS IS STILL A LOAD OF RUBISH.

We had people pay on our website with the same shipping information as billing information, 2checkout passes the fraud check and authorizes the transaction. We then ship the goods to the customer via UPS with tracking number. A little over a month later we get a chargeback saying it was a fraudulent transaction. WELL THEN WHAT THE HELL WAS THE FRAUD CHECK ABOUT? We then dispute the chargeback and give 2checkout the tracking information which shows the package was signed for, under the same name that was used to pay, the same name that was used to ship.

SO now we get left in the hole, having shipped the goods. WE EVEN GOT CHARGED AN EXTRA $15 to dispute the chargeback for items that were delivered.

Then we get our account terminated because refunds.

AVOID AT ALL MEANS. DO NOT USE. YOU WILL NOT BENEFIT FROM THERE SERVICES, YOU WILL ONLY LOSE MONEY AND BE LEFT HIGH AND DRY TO PICK UP THE PIECES.

Worst ever.

I have started selling through 2checkout and sold for around $600 and after all that, they decided to close my account claiming that I am not entitled to sell.

The worst part is, that they refunded all the Money back to customers without asking me and without a permission. My customers already got these products and now I have lost all these Money before of this terrible 2checkout.
