Sunairline Or Sun Country Bus Company???
My daughter booked a flight for me from Fort Myers Fl. to Eau Claire Wisconsin at least 2 months before I was to fly out.
We made travel arrangements for days she was off as to accommodate her picking me up and my return trip.
I received a call from the airlines stating I needed to change my departure date because they didn’t have a flight out on the day I purchased. This was a month after the ticket was purchased. Not happy about losing a day I planned to spend with my family. My daughter paid for my choice seats.
After arriving in Minneapolis I checked my connecting boarding pass only to find out I had no gate number so after a ten minute search I found somebody that worked for the airline only to find out that the last leg of my trip wasn’t a flight but a 2 hour bus ride to my final destination. Not once was I or my daughter told this.
They did the same thing to my son coming from Denver
On our return, my son and I went to the Eau Claire airport as did about 12 others only to find out we all had a 2 hour bus ride back to Minneapolis where we then would stand in line for 45 minutes to go thru security.
Finally was able to get home but NEVER again will I fly this airline. Had my daughter know I would be stranded in Minneapolis waiting to take a bus she would have come to get me even though she paid for me to fly into her home town
Flight Cancel In Cancun-what To Expect
our departure was 1:45 pm and actual time was 2:45 on a saturday. We were aborted on take off and had to deplane for aircraft problem. We were not told that the flight had been cancelled until 6:45. Also, we found out the flight crew had run out of flight time at 5:30 that day. We were not returning to dallas this day. We were not informed of any of this. No representive all this time was ever available to ask questions about what was happening until about 7:30 that day. Sun country then gave us a $25 voucher for each person for dinner whlie they made arrangement for the night. The $25 voucher sucks because the cancun airport is very exspensive, two pieces of pizza was $21. They finally found hotels for about two hundred people (that is a guess) about 11:30. We had to retrieve our luggage and board the buses. After arrival and check in we were in bed about 12:45am sunday. We left the hotel at 7:30 am sunady. It took over two hours and a half hours to check back in and to go through customs. Sunday is the most busy day of the week in cancun. Then we found out our crew left on a esrlier flight back to their home base. Sun country had to fly in a new crew. We were supposted to leave at 11:10 sunday morning. We did not leave for dallas until 2:45 pm.
my question is, why we were not informed of what was happening all those hours and they should have been working on hotels beginning at 5:30. This is the identical thing that has happened to us for third time flying sun country. Each time sun country said they would improve. Did not happen.
Overpriced Armature Airline
The whole operation from JFK to Havana is like a third world cattle car, and very much at first world prices. Clueless...
Great Flight To Vegas And Back
My Husband and I don't fly much, but we flew to Vegas for our son's wedding. We flew May 12th and returned May 17th our flight was great and the crew were AWESOME! I would definitely recommend flying Sun Country.
Horrible Service Especially For Military Families
I am a military spouse. Due to my husband's extended deployment I needed to cancel an airline ticket. I was told that cancellations are not possible even with the letter I had been issued by the command and that I could "change" my flight date and put my flight on hold for up to a year. Now that I have attempted to change my flight I find that I cannot retain a credit for the difference in the cost of the two flights (even though the new flight is nearly $100 less), but that I also need to pay a $75 change fee out of pocket that cannot come out of the difference in ticket costs.
According to their customer service the following is there change policy for military members taken from their customer service email: "Sun Country Airlines does offer cancellations with refunds for passengers and immediate family traveling on the same reservation, who present orders for deployment to the Middle East."
Horrible customer service experience. I will not be flying this company again.
Sun Country Is Not Special Needs Friendly
After the flight was grounded for over an hour due to maintenance issues, a three year old little boy with AUTISM stood up in his seat... His entire family was kicked off the flight for his"disruption." I feel that it is important for all to know that SUN COUNTRY is NOT SPECIAL NEEDS FRIENDLY. Flight 472 Anchorage to Minneapolis as well as horrible customer service from a lady with the badge number 87348.

Terrible Customer Service W No Solutions
Off to Disney and super excited yet get a last minute call of a 5 hr delay in the flight. This messes up our ride to the airport, prevents us from meeting up with and helping my elderly parents who are vacationing w us, cost us half a day at Disney, and destroys the dinner reservations we had w the jamboree (#1 thing my son wanted to do). Of course it is a weekend so no customer service people work and Sun Country doesn't enable their reservation staff to offer any solutions w finding a new flight. Worst was the reservation manager who was incredibly rude. For a small airline one would think they would try to have better service and find solutions and not act like yet another soulless major airline. Why not actually have people working - even on a wknd- that can fix the problem? They aren't worth flying with again
Best Airlines Friendly Staff
Getting my mother to the airport this am was a bit tricky, didn't realize that it had snowed in the night took over 90 mn to drive to the airport, ran 30mn later then expected. Did the curb side check in, they did say that the plane was closed for luggage BUT she would do her best to get it on the flight, but couldn't guarantee it would make it on the plane. Most Likely would need to go back and pick it up. But my mother needed to hurry to get on the plane it was now 6:35 the plane was to take off at 7:10 the lady at the curbside check in was NOT rude at all but told my mother to hurry, and she would do her best to get her luggage on the plane. Well my mother made it to Ca without a problem, not only that BUT her luggage was also there. The only sad thing is I had a 20 dollar tip for the lady and in the rush I forgot to give it to her! Sun Country Down Hill
I have been a loyal customer of Sun Country for more than 20 years. In the last few months the service has gone downhill. I have been trying to get information on a flight that my grandson was supposed to get on tonight from New York to Minneapolis. He called me and told me he was a least an hour late. I looked up on the internet and Sun Country said it was leaving on time. My grandson called me an hour after the departure time. I have been on the phone to try and get information and have been on hold for 45 minutes.
Listening to Johnny Cash. I am so sorry that Sun Country, my home town airline cannot take care of it's home town people. I hope that my grandson is still not in New York.
