If A Person Is Expecting Customer Support, Forget
If a person is expecting customer support, forget it. I have contacted the company through their "Contact Us" link and they automatically respond by replying, "We will e-mail you a response as quickly as possible." I have not heard from them after three contacts. Very poor support. The product, sans support, works very well, though.

Excellent drafting program. Very user friendly, very easy to learn. Delta cad can be used to draw very simple sketches to fully scaled, complex machine parts. I highly recommend Delta Cad to the novice as well as the professional draftsman.

Midnight Software Inc., DeltaCad is the best 2D CAD available for the occasional user. Excellent tutorials teach you the basics. Very easy to learn, set aside for a month or two, and quickly regain your proficiency. Good support with ongoing updates. Nice, efficient program. Very reasonably priced.

A real "sleeper" program, totally undervalued! Should be mandatory in schools!Very easy to learn program. Does not rely on person's memory, very small learning curve, unlike AutoCad?! Unlimited 2d drawing capabilities, limited only by ones imagination. Can create sophisticated symbol library, reasonable AutoCad compatibility, will create any size drawings in any scale. Can also be used to make banners, pre-formated forms, work with pictures, just too much to mention. I have made a living (electrical engineering) with this program for more then 10 years!
I totally agree with the previous reviews.
Totally underrated software. I use it for 20 years, I made all my plans of machines with. Deltacad included Microsoft's VBA and you can make macros without limits. You can make your macros in Excel, then copy and paste in Deltacad, with very little debugging. I draw trays with several thousand holes automatically generated according to their center distance and their position. The plan is done in seconds. Solidworks can take 1 hour to do the same if it doesn't crash before.
Additional quality: printing is done perfectly to scale whatever the format. Very practical for drawing business cards, or for drawing models that you can print on self-adhesive paper and use scissors to cut fabrics or self-adhesive polishers.
I have used DeltaCad for many years for incidental technical drawing at home and I totally agree with this reviewer. I cannot understand why software as useful as this is so low profile.

Deltacad Is Very Easy To Use, And If Not Used For
Deltacad is very easy to use, and if not used for some time I can get back on track almost immediately. Not like Autocad, which apart from the endless version incompatability problem, has too many options that are hard to navigate. Deltacad offers everything I need to make quite complex engineering drawings.
After using a variety of other CAD programs I have to say that Deltacad is the most usable, the most easily mastered and by far the best value. I would thouroughly recommend it to anyone that needs a good general purpose 2D drafting program.

I Had Been Doing All My Sketch Work By Hand With A
I had been doing all my sketch work by hand with a ruler, engineer's scale for twenty+ years. Advanced age wasn't going to allow me to continue, due to worsening eyesight. A friend recommended Deltacad saying he was creating a scaled model of a tugboat using the software.
I gave it a try and haven't looked back. I used to be able to do a scaled sketch by hand faster than most could using an obtrusive cad program (Autocad Lite etc.). I should have made the change earlier.
It's very easy to pick up. It's fun to learn the short cuts. I love the fact that different scale does not interfere with cutting and pasting between sketches.
It's a joy. It has brought back the joy of doing sketch work.

I need to install Delta Cad on my new computer, but do not have a disc. Can anyone help me acquire a version 10 disc, even a down level version will do?
