A Nice Little Bike
I've had more than 100 bikes in my 23 years of riding. I like to keep a 'tiddler' in my collection, so I can ride in the snow or go for a bimble down the unnamed roads that we have here in the peak district.
I picked up my Cityfly or \"sh*tyfly\" as it's become known for just £200 with T&T, it was all there but had a noisy top end. I put a replacement engine (£150) in and all was well.
It's a smashing little thing, not fast - you're looking at 60MPH flat out, but it'll run along at 50MPH all day, the power delivery reminds me of a slightly more powerful C90 - the engine makes very little power but quite a bit of torque, it doesn't accelerate as such, just gains speed gradually.
The plus points:
Stupendous fuel economy (over 100mpg)
Reliability
Light weight
Superb off road (I've tested it)
The minus points:
Not a fast bike
The rear suspension linkage will be seized, I'm not kidding - it will.

Have Been Restoring Classic Motorbikes For Years,
Have been restoring classic motorbikes for years, but just never got round to getting my licence.
Bought a Honda City Fly with 4000 miles on the clock which had been sat in a garage for 10 years and rode it 150 miles home with no problems.
Compared to a CG125 well worth the extra money. Looks fantastic, handling is brilliant and the seating position also makes you feel more noticeable on the road.
The Honda City Fly is a bike worth keeping as it is likely to appreciate in value due to the rarity of good examples. Bit like the Yamaha 125 DT where early models still fetch £1000 (newer models are less desirable!)Only difference is the Honda Engine is ultra reliable and with an electric start.
If you want to pass your test with ease on a bike that will also make money and be the next classic investment get a Honda City Fly while you can!

Excellent Little 125! Bought My Honda Clr125
Excellent little 125!
Bought my Honda CLR125 City Fly off of a 50 something young gent - passed my test and gave it to my son, sadly.
My son since has had another city fly and loves it.
I now own a much larger bike, yipee, but crave the little thing especially in the bad weather! I would never take my big bike out in the winter but the little city fly will do anything you ask of it whether it be sun, rain, sleet or snow!

I Weigh 8 And A Half Stone And Flat Out My City Fl
I weigh 8 and a half stone and flat out my city fly go 65MPH flat out with NO wind behind on a FLAT road. On a slight little hill I have had 70MPH out of it. The acceleration is very good until about 50MPH. It takes a while for it to hit 60MPH +. It ' s really meant for city riding so its spot on with that. The tyres I have had no problem with what so ever. I have had no problems in the dry or wet. No PRM counter but not missed that much, does not bother me. No fuel gauge and No reserve, would have been good but oh well. If you run out of petrol no problem. There is a switch which will switch you to the reserve tank. So if you feel the bike is getting very low on petrol and there is not a petrol station in sight, at least you still would have the reserve. Not sure how many miles the tank will last. Great looks, good comfort, great acceleration, good top speed for the bike. Only thing I find lets the bike down is no under seat storage, no reserve light (things like that) There is a grab rail at the back for top boxes so it ' s all good.

This Bike Is A Good First Time Bike For Some One Y
This bike is a good first time bike for some one young and it is brilliant in the fields and jumps but as you get on to the road and build up a wee bit of speed it seems a bit shaky and very light too but apart from all that its a good bike for beginners.

Got The Bike As A Write Off But Re Built The Whole
Got the bike as a write off but re built the whole bike. Its been painted, had the compression raised, made an exhaust form a transalp system. Custom intake system built by me. It'll now sit at 65mph near the limiter.
Im now trying to make an ethelen injection system for it too.

I Like The Honda Clr125 City Fly So Much I've Had
I like the Honda CLR125 City Fly so much I've had two! Well that's only because I totalled the first one! It looks fab, the exhaust cover really sets it off and just had a gorgeous paint job on tank too! For a 125 it picks up really well, will beat any old Corsa or Megane at the traffic lights and the speed doesn't let up when your going up hills either. It's so reliable too, starts first time everytime, though there's one major flaw in the design - Honda had the 'smart' idea of putting the choke right underneath the seat which is so annoying! But the height's great for the taller people out there, can see over the traffic but there's a down side to the height. It gives you a higher centre of gravity which makes it a bit flighty round tighter corners! It's a great bike, perfect for commuting round town and parts of the design is taken from off road bikes - the tyres, and it can deal with going off road (trust me)! The speed of the CLR rivals that of the rest of the 125 4-stroke competition! Shame they stopped making them in 2002!

What A Brilliant Bike - Didn't Have It Long Before
What a brilliant bike - didn't have it long before it was stolen but enjoyed all the time spent on it - except falling off once.
And there's the crutch - it's the perfect first timer bike though not for 17 year olds after cheap kicks and speed.
This is a commuter bike, plain and simple, it looks it, it rides that way and if you're buying it - then that's what you will use it for.
