I Am Not Too Impressed With This Phone! The Respon
I am not too impressed with this phone! The response of the keys is not as good as other makes (I think this is a common problem with many Sony Ericssons, in my experience).
Also if you press keys too quickly it sometimes freezes.
On a plus, the screen is large and the features are good.

Had To Send My First Z600 Back As It Kept Switchin
Had to send my first Z600 back as it kept switching itself off. This one has started to do it as well. The reception is not good and you have to have the thing in your underpants to feel the vibrate. will not bother to get another.

The Sony Ericsson Z600 Is A Great Phone With Lots
The Sony Ericsson Z600 is a great phone with lots of what I need (and use) everyday.......other than reception! It is a real shame that it is outperformed in this area by many other, less aesthetically pleasing, models. I have done the Nokia in one hand, SEZ600 in the other test, and had a similar poor result to other reviewers. I managed 1 block of reception on the SEZ600 to 5 blocks on the Nokia, but I still wouldn't buy the blockier Nokia!!

As A Former Nokia User Of 6 Years I Plumped For Se
As a former Nokia user of 6 years I plumped for SE Z600 and so far I have no real regrets. Excellent price for these features. This model has a beautiful display, reception I have found to be excellent and sound quality very good.
My only real gripes are: 1) that after one week of trying (and having turned off the predictive text input) I still cannot prepare text messages anything like as fast as I could on my Nokia. 2) It is just a little to thick for a trouser pocket.

I Bought The Sony Ericsson Z600 A Couple Of Moonth
I bought the Sony Ericsson Z600 a couple of moonths ago. It's just so wonderful, very effective & practical phone. I love this mobile phone but it doesn't have everything I would have expected to find in it, meaning that the SE Z600, compared to other mobile phones in the same category, has got a bunch of catching up to deal with for better functionality, effectiveness & user friendliness.
Nevertheless I would strongly recommend the SE Z600 as being a best value/high quality mobile to enjoy.
Hopefully the following problems that I encountered would be addressed:
The Music DJ is amusing but with limited choice offering only four instruments that already have pre-recorded music themes. There should have been additional features for consumers/users to be able to compose their own sound by just picking up single music notes from a "music notation" panel just like with Samsung and Nokia mobiles. No MP3 Support as well.
The "call list" menu is inadequate and very confusing. All received and dialed calls are displayed in the same listing although there are specific symbols to distinguish from them. One contact name can therefore be listed many times depending on how many calls were made to/from that contact. It would have just been better displaying once the contact name so that selecting it takes you through a detailed listing of all calls related to that contact, as is for the "call contact" menu that is fortunately set up to show one contact name only. Selecting the contact name from the "call contact" takes you down to all number types recorded for the contact within the selection. So why can't it be likewise for the "call list" menu?. Another problem with the "call list" menu is that time and date information are not displayed altogether simultaneously for the contacts. The time display seems to be working only for current date calls. When current date calls are relegated to the past, the time display stop displaying and is replaced by the date display alone. When consulting the past calls, you can only get the date display without the time display along with it. This is a very bad choice. I had a problem with my girl friend two days after she was back from a trip because I could not prove that I called her at the date and time agreed on when she was traveling. We expect a new firmware to be made available for upgrade so as to correct these problems.
When you enter the "calls" submenu from the main menu, scrolling down to select the "option" menu just give you the following option:
1. Clear call list
2. Call listing
The "Clear call list" when selected, forces you to clear all Calls list including the Missed calls list. This could have been better set up to first display a listing of all calls, offering a check/uncheck features whereby items can be selectively checked for clearing. So there is no way of just clearing a single targeted contact call information or the "missed calls" contents alone. A "Clear missed calls" could have been added to the "Option" menu within the "calls" menu. You may happen to call a contact and immediately decide to clear the call information data related to that contact only.
Digital Camera is practical but not that great in low light conditions. Pictures seem to be clear during snapping but get sometimes blurred/unshaped after taking! Pictures taking could have been improved by having the navigation left and right keys dedicated to "zoom in/out" functions when the camera is operating like for camera picture brightness adjustment by the navigation up and down keys.
Viewing adequately the screen outdoors in sunlight becomes very difficult. Screen not very visible even though brightness can be increased using navigation key. Contents cannot be seen properly in certain angles and lighting conditions.
User Profiles cannot be customized for timing purposes just for the timeframe of a meeting like Nokia.

Was Time To Update My Mobile Having Had A Nokia 33
Was time to update my mobile having had a Nokia 3310 for a few years. Originally I had intended to buy a Motorola V600 but upon looking at one the shop it looked a bit too plastic for my taste.
The main feature which pulled me towards buying the Z600 was the larger keypad, spaced out a lot better than most flip phones. Colour screen very easy to see in any light and navigation is easier than I thought it would be having been used to nokia for over 10 years. The user guide was not very good, no logical order, refering to see this section and then when you looked it up it refered to to yet another section. Lacking on solid facts i.e. how to do..... Sony/erricsson web site was a better bet (Adobe guide) but if you've not got internet access this would have been a real problem !!!
The camera isn't anything fantastic but adequate, I have a digicam already so the phone cam wasn't my main reason for buying. In the short time I've owned my Z600 I am very satisfied, battery life seems to be good (unless you play games non stop) and signal strength has not been an issue. (am on virgin network, who use T-mobile equipment)
I would recommend you take a closer look if you are looking for a solid, easy to use flip phone. And finally.......it's a neat size and looks cool. What more could you ask for....Buy one! Cost £190 from carphone warehouse (in the UK)
Word of warning, suggest you do not buy a handset on line, they can look very different in real life.

The Sony Ericsson Z600 Is A Great Little Flip-phon
The Sony Ericsson Z600 is a great little flip-phone with inter-changable colour cover. Very street-wise and cool looking. For the sophisticated business user. Infra-read capability. Good battery life. Eye-friendly menu screen. Texting can be a little long-winded, but you get use to it. A great little phone I would recommend.

I Chose The Sony Ericcson Z600 Mobile For Its Clea
I chose the Sony Ericcson Z600 mobile for its clear screen and really user friendly keys, which are nicely spaced. It is packed with features (although 8 weeks on I'm still trying to get it to successfully pick up emails) - and that is the first problem - set up could be much easier.
The main problem with this particular phone is its reception - I can't even get a reception at work where I have previously had no problems with Nokia or Samsung phones. I have become very bored with missing calls, even though the phone is with me, simply because they go straight to voicemail. I wouldn't touch one of these phones unless I lived in a city and didn't intend to travel much.

O2 - Because Of The New Law About Phones And Drivi
O2 - Because of the new law about phones and driving I needed to change my mobile, (and was due for an upgrade anyway!) and wanted bluetooth.
In the past all my mobiles have been Nokia, but they didn't have any decent phones that offered bluetooth, having read decent reviews of the Z600 and comparing it with the Motorola V600 I decided to go for the Z600. I'm glad I did.
So far it has been brilliant:- I can see the display in sunlight, full reception virtually anywhere, clear sound quality, even voice commands work 90% of the time.
Battery life is good too, I only gave it an hour's charge and having used it for 2 hours talktime and 3 days standby am still waiting for the battery to die.
The only downside is the camera - poor quality images, but hey, I didn't buy it for the camera and have a decent digital camera anyway.
