I Have Had Bikes From Cruisers And Street Bikes Be
I have had bikes from cruisers and street bikes before and I think my 1987 XLR250R is one of the best I ever had. It ' s maintenance-free practically; it's got no battery to worry about, nice suspension (for not-so-serious off-road fun). It ' s simply a bulletproof output of Honda. Main jet is 120. Final drive is 16/47 after mod.
It is simply an amazing piece of machine from rich heritage of excellent engineering. It an economical equipment to run and to maintain, and marked with superior reliability.

250 Is A Better Off Road Option Than A More Powerf
250 is a better off road option than a more powerful 350 or above, as they are too brutal for green laning and just keep the front wheel in the air all the time. A downgeared 250 like this is ideal for mainly offroad. The standard gearing is too road biased. Suggest a larger rear sprocket for off road work. Easily lives with friends on CCMs and 400s on mountain sections (I am 19 stone!)
Just love this bike, better than Prozac.

This Bike Is Excellent For Everyone Who Doesn't Wa
This bike is excellent for everyone who doesn't want tospend money for bying and service. It cans go almost everywhere (no very dificult off road routes). It is very good for someone who wants to start enduro but at trips near your home it's not bad too. I am love whith it and I use it most off road. In Greece we call it black dog.

I Have Owned My Honda Xlr 250 Baja For 6 Years And
I have owned my Honda XLR 250 Baja for 6 years and although don't get out green landing as much as I would like to, it is a fantastic all rounder. Unstoppable little machine! and quite eye catching with the big headlamps. Originally bought as a winter hack but now the only bike I've kept!

I Have Had This Honda Xlr For 4 Months, It's Fanta
I have had this Honda XLR for 4 months, It's fantastic!!! Beats my mates XR 250 on and off road. It is basically an XR 250R with an XR 250L engine and gearbox, with no battery. It is an import ans has K's on the clock. I use it at weekends and to nip down the shops. No battery suits me because it can't go flat. Starting is easy (second or third kick from cold, first from warm). Rides well at 75-80 mph, It will do 85mph if you get down over the tank. Very economical very reliable so suitable for green laning. Highly rcommended. XLR or XR would be a bit cheaper but not as capable.

I Owned One Of These Honda Xlr 250 Offroad Bikes F
I owned one of these Honda XLR 250 offroad bikes for about 5 months (I only don't now because it got stolen).
It really is a confidence inspiring bike to ride. It's easy to get seen by car drivers because of it's height and twin headlamps, these also make for excellent visibility. I was expecting the knobblies to lack grip on road but it goes round corners better than my sports bike used to - faster, more lean angle and really easy to flick side to side. If I did decide to slide, I always found it to be easily controllable (Whether it be one or both wheels!). I didn't get chance to go off-road on it much in the time I owned it, but when I did it felt incredibly sure-footed and because of it's weight, easy to chuck around. Capable of much, much more than just a quick blast down dirt tracks too!
Everyone should have one of these even just as a play toy!
