“Eh? How many miles?!”

★★★★☆

written by AlexanderFodor on 06/10/2013

Thought I'd stick my money's worth in having read a few reviews on this tyre. Slapped them onto my YZF750S. Great tyre, superb handling and wet weather grip, but 6,000 miles?! I managed just over 3,000 on the rear, mainly urban, with lots of deep cornering and power outs through the curves. The front lasted 5,000 but had gone very triangular! Overall a very nice solid feel. Replaced them with Supermaxx Diamonds which gave the bike a very much lighter and zippy feel.

“awesome”

I've had 2ct's on my gsxr 750 k7 for the last 2 years, covered 7000 miles including 4 track days in the intermediate group. I also had them on my blade before that. They are the business for confidence inspiring dry or wet riding. Big lean angles are easily achieved and the wear rates are also good. Rear as squaring off now but the front has worn very evenly. I do ride pretty hard and have never been let down. Time to change them and will be putting the same back on.

“the best tire”

★★★★★

written by ninja600nutter on 22/04/2013

firstly who ever thinks they get over 5k out of these rear tires are total liers I have ran these for a few years now on a zx6r g2 and I get 3.5 to 4k miles wearing front and rear evenly both front and rear have no chicken strips. there's no way your getting 17k twos up on a hayabusa. as for the tires there one of the best tires you can get on the market Av had my ninja at maximum lean first gear full throttle front end up they have relentless you get plenty of warning when your getting near the limit. I do push my bike more than most. Av tried various tires dunlop d207/8/9 rr. Avon viper xstreams. bridgestones and pirellis. and the michys are the best. the grip doesn't end when it rains there's enough grip to bury the throttle in any gear. and slam the anchor with the tail up in the air. no other tire has every give me the confidence these do they didn't take and beding in i didn't even do a mile before I had my knee slider was ginding on the tarmac. you want the best tire for whatever your doing this is it

“Fantastic tyre!”

★★★★★

written by on 30/09/2012

After much deliberation I finally decided on these for my gsxr 1000 K7....all I can say is these tyres transformed the feel of the bike. They replaced the bridgestones I had on and make a huge difference to confidence. They are a great tyre at a great price.

“grips the road then stays there”

★★★★★

written by KINGofaz on 18/09/2012

I really like the feel of these babies! They grip the road and they ride really nice. I had a flat outside Flagstaff and road it in at about 45 MPH to the tire store there, 34 miles. and it was still on the rim and ready for more but it was time to change it, flat and all. The only thing I did not like about it is that it would only last about 2400 miles.

“Grip, value and feel.”

★★★★★

written by on 16/06/2012

Went from winter time, OE fitment Bridgestone BT021's to Michelin Pilot Power. The handling, steering feel, stability, noise, grip and agility have all felt improved. My BMW K1300 feels lighter, quicker steering and corners faster, giving me confidence in wet & dry conditions. The wear rate is very good also. I rate these Michelin three highly.

“Best Rubber Ever”

★★★★★

written by on 24/10/2011

I put the Conti Motion on my Yamaha BT1100 because I was looking for value and quality, and I'd had Continental tyres before. I also went for the tread pattern, which has no central groove to wear away first, thus probably giving good mileage. Well, they are BRILLIANT! The cornering confidence - even when the back broke away on some spilt diesel - is 100% better than the OEM tyres, and every ride is pure joy. Wear seems to be hardly noticeable, and I'm using all of the tread because the bike feels so planted. The more triangular profile of the uninflated tyre seems odd, but once on the bike and riding, you feel so secure tipping into a corner. These tyres HAVE to be the best value bike tyres on the road.

I am confused. "Conti Motion" I thought this was a review for Michelin Pilot Power ??? Suggest moderator removes review and reposts in correct place or OP updates and explains exactly which tyres he is reviewing.

Amazing Tyres with fantastic grip, I would recommend these, and the price is not too bad either from moto-tyres.co.uk.... I have been using them on my GSXR600 K1 for over 3000miles and they still have plenty of tread and grip....
I would definately buy again.

i have used the 2ct and the standard power i am on my 4th set,and i cant find any real difference between them grip is very good ,they will slid but it is controlled just leaving shadows out of the corner when pushing on the front i can not fault more grip than you will ever need in a road tyre can easily run in the fast group at a track day

you will see 5500-6000 miles from a front and 2800-3500 from a rear

★★★★★

written by Dorkhedeos on 16/10/2009

These are great tires. They are the same compound as the pilot power 2ct tires, but they do not have the softer edge. They still grip really well on the edges, but if you really want to be confident at full lean, get the 2cts. These regular pilot powers are great for spirited riding and the occasional trackday. Like the 2cts, they are not good commuter tires. They get eaten up in about 4k miles. Highly recommended.

“If there's one thing you can say about these Michelin...”

★★★★★

written by on 31/05/2009

If there's one thing you can say about these Michelin Pilot Power tyres, its the level of progressive grip and feedback they give - its frankly amazing!
I run the Power 2CTs on both my K5 GSXR1000 and my K6 GSXR750 and can't find a fault with them in any way. Riding is both flat out through twisty roads and the occasional long motorway jouney. The warm-up is very quick and they even get hot in standing water when its really raining!
On the wet note, these are one of the only tyres that will go right to the edge in the wet, as most "sports" tyres don't have tread grooves all the way out and you end up sliding - the michelins just keep on gripping all the way to the point that I reckon you can ride about 80 - 80% in the wet as you would in the dry!
I do make absolutely full use of the front brakes and hence wear the centre of the front out in about the same time as the rear gets ready for changing, and thats about 4000 - 4500 on the 750 and only slightly less on the 1000. Not bad considering the thrashing I give them!
I run pressures at 32 front and back on both bikes and it really helps speed up the already fast warm-up and just gives that little bit more feedback than the usual manufacturers 36, 42 pressures. This might sound low, but they get hotter than with standard pressures, so they end up at similar hot pressures anyway.
Can't recommend them enough - buy some and see for yourself!

I had Pirelli corsa 3 on my fireblade in the dry they were good but in the rain on roundabouts I had trouble with the front tyre slipping which did not give me any confidence what so ever in the front tyre and so crap in the rain it was like riding on ice then somebody told me about pilot power 2ct and wow. I m a different rider in the dry and the wet so I would recommend these pilot power to everybody.

“AWESOME TYRES!!!!!! You cannot beat Michelin Pilot...”

★★★★★

written by on 10/04/2009

AWESOME TYRES!!!!!! You cannot beat Michelin Pilot Power tyres at all. I used them on the track running fast speeds, and use them on the street for everyday commuting. I get a few days out of them on the track. I get 8,000 miles out of the rears on my 2002 zx6r, and change the front at 16,000 miles. Anyone that tells you that you only get 3,000 out of these tyres is stupid and can't stop doing burnouts at every light. Check your tyre pressures guys and you'll get fantastic mileage.

“I have been using Michelin Pilot Powers on my 2000...”

★★★★★

written by comet on 04/09/2008

I have been using Michelin Pilot Powers on my 2000 Hayabusa for over 3 years now (35000km) and without exeption they always give exellent grip, feel and milage (up to 17000k for a rear), all my milage is lesure riding two up and the bike gets a bit of a hammering through the twisties ( have scraped the fairings on the tar).
Also run same tyres on my 04 Z1000 and have covered 15,000k so far using as a run to work bike with occasional weekend riding, I expect about 17,000k before front is borderline.
As a comparison the Suzuki went through 3 bridgestone bt 056 battleaxe rears in 14,000k--- NO COMPARISON.

written by 98ron on 02/05/2008

Fast warm up in Queenland no time at all, no trouble in wet weather, excellent grip, if your bike has a smaller width rear the front and rear profiles are just about perfecly matched. Have run the early version on CBR's and the latetest on RR's with a lot of confidence, the latest version are even better.
