Rubbish Shody Company
My husband had this company come out to clean our house last week, to begin with he had trouble making the booking with a very rude woman on the phone, she apparently is the owner of the business, tried forcing extras all the time. In a nutshell nothing seemed any cleaner. AVOID THIS COMPANY I agree with the others on here. THE WORST CLEANING COMPANY WE HAVE EVER USED.

Appalling And Unprofessional Customer Service
Unfortunately, like many reviews on this site, I have experienced the unprofessional nature of this cleaning company too. Having booked a Groupon voucher full house clean weeks ago, they rang and left a voicemail on my phone the DAY BEFORE (after having booked time of work and making arrangements for my 3 young kids to be out of the house) the clean was due to take place, informing me that they were unable to fulfil their commitment due to 'staffing issues'. Instead of offering me another date, they advised me in the message to ring Groupon for a refund, offering no apology whatsoever.
I rang Mrs Sparkles to find out what the situation was, to be told that the cleaner that was supposed to be cleaning my house had called in sick the day before and they couldn't offer me another cleaning date, as they had no availability until the end of April, by which time, the lady informed me 'I know your voucher will have run out by then'.
Having questioned their unprofessional approach to a customer who had been booked in for weeks, I was pretty appalled by the rude attitude of the person who spoke to me using phrases such as 'what do you expect me to do about it?' and replying to most of my questions with 'I'm not going to argue with you'. I didn't want an argument, I just wanted some answers and a little bit of acknowledgement that they had let me own, I got neither.

Awful Service Be Warned!!
A friend bought me a domestic house clean as a present (knowing how much I hate cleaning) from Mrs Sparkles in Cleckheaton on Groupon. I called to redeem the voucher and they explained how busy they were so they could only fit me in on Monday 20th January 2014, fustrating as this was December 2013, but had no choice and booked a day off work for January.
The week before they called and left a message saying to call them, I rang back every day leaving messages which included my landline, work number and mobile. No reply.
On Monday 20th January 2014 I called from 8am, finally getting someone to answer the phone at 10.30am to say that 'your clean has been cancelled.'
When I explained that no one had called, that I had taken a day off work I got a very flippant and rude response from the advisor saying it wasn't her problem and she couldn't change it.
When I said that I had taken a day off work for the clean, she said she had no choice if she had no staff. First stating they were off sick, and then later when I said I would be happy for them to come another day that they had left the company - so which is it?
When I asked for the clean to be re-booked she said the Groupon voucher would have expired. How galling - when they were the ones to cancel the clean without telling me! I explained this patiently to her and then she said that they were busy for the rest of the year and had to prioritise their regular clients......
words fail me about how little customer service this company offers, the lack of communication staggers me and the lack of customer compassion for my fustration has left me speechless. They couldn't get me off the phone quick enough, even the verbal/vocal tone of Carol suggested that she was bored of listening to me complain.
It's now nearly 10pm and I am honestly still very very angry that this customer could care so little about how they have ruined my entire day and left me out of pocket.
They suggested I contact Groupon for a refund and that Groupon have sorted them out before.....suggests that I am not the only person who has been put in this position by their shoddy service.
A Gift To Myself For Xmas
Having bought a voucher quite some time ago I saved it as a treat to myself for Xmas and booked my clean for the day after putting up my decorations as we all know how messy it gets with bits of tree/glitter/last year's dust coming out of the loft!! On reading the reviews I was a little concerned that I had wasted my money but hey ho can only give it a go.
The 2 cleaners turned up mid morning,I was second job on list, and I showed them the 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms I wanted doing and let them get on.whilst they were not there the hours that it takes me I am so happy with the job done, the young lady moved so much to dust as I have all the extra candles and bits out for Christmas, she put things back in Some different places which looked great! Plumped my cushions etc etc.I didn't choose to have extra this time as the reviews made me stick to the voucher but maybe would next time.
Was lovely to sit in my Christmassy house and not have to start cleaning as I had definitely run out of energy.thank you

Absolute Pants!
Nightmare to find a time and day to book, then they cancelled at 3pm on the day they were due to visit. When I complained as I had booked annual leave to wait in for them, I could hear the lady moaning to her colleague in the background. When they did eventually come they were cleaning my 3 bed house for 1 hour and practially NOTHING got done, absolute disgrace. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, EVEN WITH A VOUCHER!

Rude, Dishonest, Unclean And Left Behind A Lot Of Mess
I used this service for my parents when they went away so they would come back to a nice clean house. However, the house was dusty and not cleaned properly at all. Behind chairs/under ornaments were not done. I had to go over dusty window sills and reclean the house. They left an empty can of red bull on our door step, left dirty cloths and tesco value toilet cleaner in a bedroom. Half a broken hoover was also left and all the bins from the bedrooms were put back in tje wrong rooms. When I rang to ask why they never showed up for their second appointment the woman was rude, said she was very busy and I should try again in a.few months..not likely. A few bits and bobs/lose change/tops are also missing but as I can't prove or be 100% about this I won't dwell on that bit too much. Overall very unclean untidy and very rude.
please ring our office, we can only deal with complaints when you call and I have no knowledge of your call to myself or Carol. Many thanks
Bev
Just to add, I got mrs sparkles through groupon. It does seem that the bad reviews are all from people who had groupon/woucher vouchers.

Not Impressed
I used a living social voucher costing £40 for a full house clean. I then paid a further £60 for extras.
I have a 3 storey 5 bed house with 2 bathrooms and a toilet downstairs so when they said they were done after 1 hr 20 mins I was slightly dubious but as I had a screaming infant waiting to be fed I didn't have time to inspect the entire house.
I do have 2 hairy dogs so there is dog hair in the hallway and kitchen but my dogs do not get free reign of my house so it is only in these places. So when checking later I didn't bother with the dog hair I could see but I did however dislike that my furniture had been hoovered around, the mats in my kitchen had been mopped around instead of moved and my kitchen units still had drips from loading the dishwasher that morning.
In my bedroom there was a dirty cloth on my chest of drawers and my shelves had not even been touched as I could see the dust hadn't been disturbed. The dusting was pretty poor through out. Very little attention to detail and no pride in their work was the impression I got. Nothing had been pulled out as promised and all together a lazy excuse for a "full house clean".
On calling I was told that it would be redone but then a follow up call a few hours later explained that they were concentrating in the dog hairs and that's why they had half arsed the remainder of my house. That's all good and well but I do not know of anyone that could clean an entire house of this size within that time period to a standard they claimed it would be.
I will not be recommending to anyone and I will NEVER use again as I am left feeling upset and embarrassed by their attitude and behaviour and if I had paid the full £210 that it should have cost there would have been fireworks.

Excellent Service
We have recently moved out of a rented house (2 bed end terrace with conservatory). Having moved out earlier than expected we had little time to clean the house. So when we saw a groupon deal for Mrs Sparkles we jumped at the chance to use them. After having emailed Bev at Mrs Sparkles we were booked in. They also offered us additional services at extra cost. One being the oven clean for a further £25. Having a toddler I didn't really want to spend hours doing this and having her around the fumes so we booked this service also.
The cleaners came the other day. They didn't waste any time and got straight on. They brought all their own equipment and cleaning products. This allowed me time to pack the last of our belongings, cut and rake the front lawn and clean my window frames! They were there around 1 1/2 hours.
They cleaned all the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs inc the floors. The oven was cleaned whilst this took place. One lady then came downstairs and did my conservatory floor (pulling out my table and small sofa). Whilst the other lady cleaned the kitchen and finished the oven.
I was absolutely mortified when one of the ladies pulled out my sofas I didn't think they would be so thorough, and had planned doing it at the weekend when I had help! The lovely lady put all the toys that were hiding under there in a bag without even batting an eyelid! I'm sure they've seen worse but I was still embarrassed! But also very grateful.
The oven looks great and I don't have to do anything with it.
Overall I'm very happy, they gave me a big head start to get ready for our inspection, and I would definately recommend them.

Dishonest - Don't Bother
I concur with the reviewer below, any Groupon clean receives total lip service from this outfit.
I had a one bedroom flat stood empty for a couple of months, Mrs Sparkles were asked to clean for a new tenant moving in, as the property is compact and open plan they agreed to include skirtings & doors.
I also paid £10 to add a small fridge to the clean.
What a disappointment, not only did they not bother with the doors & skirtings the fridge wasn't cleaned either, when I spoke to the office the cleaner was absolutely adamant she had done the fridge!
At the insistance of the office had to obtain photo's of the fridge email them and wait 6 days for someone to return to clean the fridge!
So not only are they pretty dire at basic cleaning their staff are dishonest aswell!
Damp In a new build apartment, now come on not even you believe that! shame on you
Thanks, we came out and re did this for you, Can I just say that I have been more than curtious to you and my staff did clean the fridge, but because the flat suffers from extreme damp the fridge did get mould in again!! Tut tut coming from one business owner to another, you should know better!!!

Groupon Deal - Wasn't Worth The Full Price
At £29 it's poor value, at £100 it's a rip-off.
I booked a full house clean via Groupon - the booking process took ages but finally done. 2 people turned up and were at the house 45-50 minutes to do a 4 bedroom house.
The bathrooms were cleaned; that was the best bit. Not brilliantly, but OK.
The floors were given a quick hoover or mopping - usually taking 30 seconds per room. Any marks which were on the floor / dust there (which there wasn't much as we'd cleaned up before-hand) was still there afterwards.
Polishing / dusting - no evidence of this.
The kitchen was hardly touched. I couldn't see any evidence of any real effort apart from a wiping of surfaces. The appliances certainly weren't cleaned, but I discovered this afterwards.
Once they discovered it was through Groupon, they appeared to want to leave as quickly as possible.
Would I recommend them? Only if you're desperate. We used the cleaning service as a 'test' to find a regular cleaning company. Mrs Sparkles certainly don't sparkle in my book.
why did you not ring and tell us this, then instead of venting un true comments I could have tried to rectify this.
