I had microlipo done on my inner thighs recently and it was one of those things that i wish i'd done 10 years ago. The results are absolutely incredible, exactly everything i had dreamed of, and it literally changed my life.

The procedure was relatively easy, i didn't need to bring anyone along and i was done in 3 hours or so; i was looked after really well on the day and the doctor kept chatting to me throughout the operation (even though in hindsight i was probably talking nonsense due to the drugs!) and making sure i was ok. There was pretty much no pain other than a handful of tiny injections with the anaesthetic at the beginning (and even then it was hardly what i'd call pain)

In terms of pain after the surgery, it did last for a good couple of weeks, but it wasn't crazy intense-i managed 90% of the time without pain killers. The only annoying thing was not being able to walk or leave the house or do anything other than lie down for two weeks, but the result is totally worth the temporary exile from society.

As for the doctor and his nurse, they were amazing from day one; they patiently listened to my thousand questions and gave me tons of info and advice and even after the surgery they kept replying to me every time i panicked and asked them the same question for the millionth time.

I have had liposuction before ( it was terrible, hence trying again) and also have had quite a few consultations with other doctors and i must say this was the only time that i was treated like a human being and got the feeling that people actually cared. I cannot recommend Dr Gupta and his team enough!

This surgeon had changed my life for the better and I can not thank him enough, he delivered everything and more! regarding my Tumescent Liposuction for my condition Lipoedema.

He is empathic and realistic to your particular needs and makes you feel so at ease he explains everything in detail and makes all the information so easy to take in that you don't have any unanswered questions leaving his room. He also takes his time you never feel rushed or pressurised to make a decision there an then unlike most companies I have dealt with in the past. The team that works with him are 5* and they cannot do enough for you, the after care is amazing this is also with the phone and email support.

I would recommend him and the clinic for anyone looking at Liposuction you won't find anyone better than him!

Having put up with, although loathed, my saddle bag thighs all my life but being too terrified of having liposuction to get rid of them, I came across micro-liposuction and realised this was the answer to my prayers! Quick, easy and painless and not ever really, really sore even after the local anaesthetic had worn off (there is some pain though of course but mainly just discomfort). Didn't need any pain killers at all. Legs were purple for a week and the compression garment was a bit of a pain especially when needing a wee but a small price to pay for much, much improved thighs! My whole wardrobe had changed - skinny jeans, short jumpers, skirts - now my hips don't look 10 feet wide anymore! Dr Gupta and his PA Kasia are both great and very friendly, professional, easy to deal with and responsive to calls, emails and queries.

I have been thinking about having lipo for about 12 years. I’ve always been worried about scaring or uneven results which is what kept me from going through with it. I recently saw a friend who had microcanular lipo and showed me the results and told me how it was relatively easy and pain-free.

I found the private clinic and thought I’d investigate again. Dr Gupta was honest about expectations and that nothing is for sure but explained that with microcanular you can make more incisions due to the small tube size which gives a smooth result.

So I decided to have my flakes and belly done. They removed 1.8 litres of fat from me. The recovery was indeed easy and the operation itself was virtually pain-free (I felt a little pressure towards the end of the procedure which was quickly fixed with some additional anaesthetic. The guidelines are to wear the pressure garment for 3 days but I actually wore mine for six days as I become used to it and felt more secure. There was some bruising and swelling which disappeared after a week. I also used arnica gel twice a day which I believe helped speed recovery.

For me this wasn’t about weight loss, but targeting a very specific part of my body that I was unable to modify with exercise despite much effort. I can wear all my slim fit shirts again. It’s a wonderful feeling.

I would recommend Dr Gupta and The Private clinic for anyone looking for microcanular liposuction to correct specific body areas. I have nothing but praise for them (and for the results!)

I found the friendliness of the staff and Mr Gupta prior to the procedure and also on the day of my procedure to be nothing but excellent,.

Every part of my care was explained to me, I was nervous but needn't have worried as Mr Gupta and his staff were very reassuring.

The discomfort although minimal did give me some bruising, to be expected, and I was was a little sore for a week or so, however after a couple of days, despite the swelling, I was thrilled with the results.

Every thing I experienced was as I had been told, I am absolutely delighted and can now look in the mirror again!

I've disliked the shape of my legs for years; fat knees and a pocket of fat on the top inside of my thighs meant that I felt self conscious if ever I exposed them. I felt vain for making my legs such an issue, after all I was healthy and my legs kept me upright and mobile; I should be satisfied with that.

So I was 50 before deciding to do something about it having read quite a bit about the safety and results obtained by microcannular surgery. Went to Dr Gupta because he was in Harley Street and he was known to the media. Didn't know whether that would make him any better than anyone else but his reviews were positive and I had no-one else to compare him against.

As the reviews say, he was clear, factual and informative. There was no hard sell and I was impressed by the customer care received by him and his nurse.

It still took a further 9 months before I finally booked an appointment.

The surgery was no problem at all. I was given a tablet the night before to make sure I had a good night's sleep and a tablet an hour before surgery to make sure that I felt relaxed. I was incredibly relaxed (quite sleepy) and Dr Gupta was kind and reassuring. He made small incisions (probably about 8-10 on each leg around my knees and along the inside of my thighs) before inserting a solution into my legs which helps dissolve the fat to make extraction easier. There was absolutely no pain at all. I was left to fall asleep - my legs now looked like tree trunks.

After 30 minutes, I was woken up and told that the suction of the fat would now begin. I could see the rod being manoeuvred up and down under my skin and fat and blood being suctioned out into these litre vessels. Again there was no pain and I was still incredibly relaxed. The procedure probably took about 2-3 hours but as I was drifting in and out of sleep it felt like time moved quickly. Over a litre of fat was removed from each leg and the difference already in the shape of my legs was startling. I asked Dr Gupta to take photos. I could not believe that I finally had slim knees and thighs! I got off the bed, was able to walk unaided and put on the compression garments given to me.

My husband picked me up by car - absolutely essential. Please don't consider going home by public transport, you'll be too weak and there is a big risk of fainting as your body has gone through quite a bit of trauma. So don't be alone for the way home or on your own for a day or two after the op.

The next day I tentatively took off my compression garments and bandages to gently shower. There was quite a bit of bleeding from the small incisions and some leakage. I was fine but weak and woozy. I spent 7-10 days on the couch with my legs elevated. The same in bed at night. I could walk but my movements were stiff and I now had some pain. Pain is not terrible, quite similar to a big workout when your muscles aren't used to it. I was able to cope with it for the most part without pain killers.

The bruising comes out after about 3 days - be prepared as it looks shocking - it goes again within 7-10 days. The swelling however remains with you for some time. You wake up in the morning with slim legs and as the day goes on they get more swollen and in the first 6 weeks, you may find yourself going to bed with legs bigger than they were before. Don't worry that goes!

It is now 3 months following the op. I am so pleased with the result. My knees still remain a little swollen in the evening but the fat pockets at the top of my inside thighs were removed on the day of the op and have never come back...result! I now wear leggings with short jumpers and black tights, boots and shoes with a short skirt and I look and feel great.

If you've got the money, hate the shape of your legs, don't wait until you're 50, just get it done. I can certainly recommend Dr Gupta and microcannular surgery to help you get the results you'll love.

A year ago I underwent Vaser liposuction on two areas, the stomach and hips. I wasn't overweight, I just couldn't shift fat pockets in these areas, even after exercising. The procedure was performed under local anaesthetic and was totally free of pain and discomfort. The pre-med helped control any nerves and made the whole experience tolerable. The nurses and surgeon were extremely kind and informative throughout the whole procedure, ensuring I was comfortable and content at all times.

I had minimal downtime as I healed quite quickly, after just 1 day I was able to remove the post op garments and continue a normal day. Bruising too was minimal and didn't last long and just a few months later the scars were almost invisible.

The results are amazing. I am now able to wear figure hugging clothes with confidence and pleasure. I have thrown out my swimming costumes and thoroughly enjoy shopping for bikinis once again.
