I ordered a front door from bennbrook windows in june 2021. The door and side panel were to be fitted in an extension at my property and were needed quickly for the builder. I was told the door would arrive mid july. It didn’t - it arrived mid september. This in itself caused numerous problems with my builder. It was fitted at my property and as soon as it was fitted i knew it was wrong. The problems? (1) it was hung so badly it didn’t close properly (2) the lock i had been given was not the one ordered (3) the metal panel where the lock is was tarnished and looked as though it had been jemmied in as the surrounding composite was damaged and (4) the colour of the composite started to chip off showing white underneath. What did bennbrook do? Passed the buck to the manufacturer who came out to see if they could fix the door. The manufacturer said they couldn’t fix the door as it was bennbrook’s fault that the wrong lock had been ordered and the door should have been rejected. After much phoning and e-mailing bennbrook eventually admitted that they had ordered the wrong lock and that the state of the metal side piece on the door was so bad that it should not have been accepted by them let alone fitted in my extension. They accepted this last november but it has taken them until now to refund our money after a year of prevarication. Do not use them their customer service. Is non-existent.

Product was damaged and installation was not performed with reasonable skill and care. I suggest you research the company looking on companies house as well as all the other negative reviews (all the recent ones highlight the poor quality).

There are a vast number of court cases out against this company, which suggests am imminent switch to Harlow Glazing to avoid repay their customers.

And the warranty will be void once the company ceases trading.

Our fight continues with BENNBROOK windows (BW).The previous business name was Essex Double Glazing (EDG) and our original contract was with  (EDG) trading as BW it appears from companies house ,they are in the process of disolving this business having changed the name to BW LTD.The people running BW are the same people who were running EDG.One day this will end. At the moment in time it’s like hitting our heads against a wall. We took our case to the OMBUDSMAN arbitration service which has taken well over a year. Both parties agreed to abide by the ruling as this is a legally binding So after what seemed like ever WE WON and BW were ordered to take down the Conservatory and restate our home and pay back all the money we had given them 23 thousand 600 pounds. BW on receiving this report withdrew from the scheme (which / trusts traders they also have been removed from checks trade too as a direct result of this complaint So the only way to deal with this is to now go through the courts thus has now been done and to date BW still have ignored the courts too. We will now enforce the order to high courts ... WARNING these people do not care what they do or how they treat you USE THIS company at your own peril. They have taken all our life savings and have made us so very ill. We will not give up on this fight never.

We used Bennbrook because we wanted to support small businesses. Firstly, the customer service is non existence. Every time we contacted them, be via email or phone, no one ever returned the calls. Secondly, they re glazed the our conservatory in inclement weather conditions causing substantial water damage to our flooring. Despite contacting them on numerous occasions, they will not provide their pubiic liability insurance detail or respond to our emails to rectify the damage. We have been more than reasonable, offering options to resolve the issue but Benbrook will not respond to our messages. This has left us £2,100 out of pocket. Please do your research before using Bennbrook. This is a factual and fair review of our bad experience.

Most expensive quote,I like design, therefore I chose Bennbrook Windows.

Instillation without issue and left positive feedback on installation engineer sheet.

After some time few issues pop up:

1. The inside door handle is very loose.

(Already replaced by Bennbrook Win. engineer, new one the same issue.)

2.I requested Stormguard Threshold just £25 more I wanted pay extra for it. The door have been delivered with just cheap aluminum profile (has to be fixed by Bennbrook Win.engineer after while because was bent in the middle.

3. There is a few millimeter gap between the door and frame brush seal, letting draft trough. (Never been fixed despite countess emails )

Send countess emails with the pictures. At first lot of excuse then they sent engineer a few times. Not all the issues have been fixed. Bennbrook Windows did not reply to my emails at the end.

Left negative review on checktrade.com. Bennbrook Window never contacted us to fixed the issues. Respond on checktrade.com. from Bennbrook Window is that main contact was via land line and they could not reach us.

How can you trust the builder, who claims he tried to contact you via land line, if your property never had land line installed???

I had six quotes for some replacement windows. Bennbrook were the cheapest, although some of the others were close.I didn't choose Bennbrook at first because they ask for a 33% deposit upfront and don't take credit cards. However, another firm I initially chose to do the job at a higher price didn't turn up twice and gave feeble excuses even before I paid a deposit so I decided to ditch them.With some misgivings I paid the deposit in cash to Bennbrook, half expecting things to go wrong but they turned up on time and fitted Rehau windows of a very good quality. The standard of fitting was very good, with minimal mess - they did put down sheets and hoovered thoroughly at the end of the job. Also they came back promptly to attend to a minor issue after I had paid in full. The fitters were friendly and pleasant to have around.
