I was originally offered 200+£ for my used macbook air ( with ssd not working nd needing replacement)

I clearly stated it and was told by someone there that the offer was correct!!!!

they trick you with a way too good offer to then offer you peanuts ! with excuse that they reduce payments with little things like scratches and denfs ( mine didnt have a dent or scratch).

i accepted ur joke of an offer bc im moving out and have no time to resell, but ur company is a joke and ure all clowns.

Got a easy quote online, courier collected my laptop the next day and I was paid exactly what was quoted two days later. I had expected to get knocked on the price quoted but was pleasantly surprised! Would def recommend and use again!

I sold 2 of my old laptops to CIYD - the pick up was relatively quick, but I then had to chase them up for almost 2 weeks for 1/3 of what they quoted to give me!

Now they won't even respond to my email.

Once I get the full amount, I'm washing my hands of them.

Fast, efficient service. Laptop was collected on the day specified, and I received slightly more than the amount quoted. Giving four stars as I had to chase up payment after a few days, but this may have been down to a website glitch - it was sending out auto-emails. The person who handled my query dealt with it superfast. Definitely would consider using this company again.

Sent it iPhone , was faulty as I said. Got the original quote they said in email. Been waiting for payment and it hasn't cleared they said its be sent ( through bank) but still waiting. Have used other companies and they have been more effencient. I have sent email saying if no payment just send my phone back.

The whole process of accepting an online valuation, having the item picked up and then receiving the funds in my account has taken less than a week!

My original valuation was reduced slightly when they had received the laptop but I was happy to accept given the laptop has been lying around for a year or two, there was some dead pixels and the operating system had disappeared making it unusable! Plus I have piece of mind knowing that the laptop has been wiped of all personal data. You are never going to get the full value of the items you are sending in for recycling which I think people should bare in mind but if you are just after getting rid, save yourself a trip to the scrapyard and make a few pennies!

Really quick and easy to use, would definitely use in the future if I want to recycle any other items.

I recently tried to sell a laptop with this company and was given a quote and a courier service picked up on time. Then it all went wrong first they said they couldnt pay because they were too busy and when I complained they offered me half of the original quote which I refused, since then I have heard no more from them.

Excellent service, great value for my old Laptop, collection easily arranged and all happened on-time. Money in the bank within 24 hours of notification of them receiving my laptop. Will use again!

Never received payment for my laptop and they recycled my laptop with my consent so I now have no laptop and no money ! Do not use this service !!!!

I was so glad I had photographed my laptop before it was collected. I knew it left my house in perfect condition sealed in a top quality padded box provided by the courier.

I received a message from CIYG to say they were reducing the agreed price as the laptop casing was cracked.

I rang them immediately and said the laptop was not cracked when it left me, I had a photo, taken just prior to collection which I sent to them, and suddenly they discovered they could honour the original price.
