DO NOT BUY from First furniture. The service is awful, the item wasn't delivered as promised date and if they impose huge cancellation fee if you want to cancel your order.

Very disappointed with my shopping experience and I will never buy from them again.

Ordered a bed...took time off work- no delivery. When I enquired I was told an attempt was made to contact me (no answerphone message- nothing). Then told out of stock for a month. I needed a bed before this and had to ask for a refund 3 times over email- poor response from staff so I phoned. 8 days later i'm still waiting or a refund. Very annoyed.

I purchaced a bed & matress from this company which i had found online. I am based in northern ireland so had to pay an extra £50 for the delievery however this was still cheaper than buying the bed i wanted elsewhere. 2 weeks after my purchace i had started to question why i hadnt revieved my goods yet, nor had i recieved any communications from the company! I had emailed on several occasions & was told we are waiting for the bed to come in.... We have the items in our warehouse & will be in touch reguarding delivery etc etc.

More than 3 weeks after my order i had then emailed enquiring why still i had not heard anything about my items. 3 days later still no reply (obviously i was being ignored) i then made a call to be told they couldnt access my information & took my name & number to call me back when he had a look at the order. At 5pm that eve still no call back! I then called again and was told the person dealing with my order would call back asap which he did...telling me my order would be with me on that friday and the delivery guys would call me to arrange a time slot. Here i am the following wednesday & still no bed or matress recieved! Ordered 12/9/16

I ordered two chairs from their web site where they were shown as a light brown, the first one arrived and was very dark brown almost black and the second was the same colour. When I phoned to complain I was told that they had sold many of these chairs with no complaints and as I had unpacked them it was my hard luck, also that they did not guaranty that the colours would be as shown on their web site

I ordered my bed from first furniture on the 2nd of January. when I ordered it, I was under the impression i would receive it within the next 7 days. Since there was no communication from the company I decided to call them. So after taking my money out of my account , they told me the bed was out of stock and that it will be in stock on the 18th of January. This was a red flag for me but I put that aside and decided to wait. So another 7 days went past and I decided to ring them again. They then tell me that there was damage to the bed and that they cannot deliver it. I was so appalled and disgusted and frustrated at the fact that I have now waited a whole month for my bed. The manger who I communicated with said that it will be delivered on the 23rd. I waited in all day and it still was not delivered. This company has taken my money and has never bothered to call me to update me about my item. Then the manager has the cheek to offer me £20 partial refund on the promise that the bed will be delivered. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE BED!!!!! I will NEVER use this company again. My advice is go somewhere else and get more for your money.They don't care about their customers they only care about your money.Buy from this comapny at your own risk.

Do not buy from this website. After ordering a coffee table and expecting delivery within 4 weeks, it was delayed. After receiving a message informing us when the item would be delivered, we were then told it was a pallet service. This means they leave the goods at the first door and we live on first floor flat. The driver refused to help us take the item upstairs and we were left to deal with it ourselves. Also from a pallet service we have to check the item for damages. This means opening each box in the lobby of the building and checking them carefully. However the driver refused to wait and tried to force us to sign the document. After all this we wanted to return the item and although we expected a minimum cost of return of approximately £50, we have been charged triple that. To top it off, their customer service on the telephone is unprofessional and rude. I shop a lot online but never have I ever had such a frustrating and poor experience.

Received a faulty chair which was part of a garden patio set. Informed 1st furniture immediately and was told they would send me a replacement chair. I did not receive a replacement chair and 1st furniture are no longer responding to my emails so I am now left with a incomplete set which I paid full price for.

Ordered online, payment taken from my credit card immediately, and now almost two weeks later I am phoning them to understand what has happened to my order. Told by a curt operator that it was 'waiting to be delivered to their warehouse tomorrow'. Will believe that when I receive delivery. Never again.

And by the way, the majority of reviews here give a 1 star rating, like me, however every now and then there is a sprinkling of 5 star reviews with glowing praise for this company. Suspicious, or what? Don't trust them!

In october 2012 i purchased a £400 wardrobe from the gorleston branch. Within 2 weeks the struts that held the drawers in have snapped the runners have now dropped my clothes are in a pile of wood and clothes.(i have super glued to keep it going ) also the middle mirrored drawer snapped and nearly fell on my sons head. I contacted ff the day the draws bust. I was told i would have replacement drawers and doors for the inconvience. 6 months later NOTHING rang them again and where told they needed to take a look at the wardrobe???? The man explained nothing was ordered????so again man came round told me it would be ordered. 3 months again rang up told me nothing had been ordered.(this has happened 5 times) and i have now recieved a letter from the new management saying i will have to pay for the replacment parts even thought they have said its not the correct colour ive also been blamed for putting up the wardrobe but how can u put somthing together myself but how can u put somthing together when u have NO instruction manual. Wrong wrong wrong dont use this shocking company
