Very Happy Customer For Last 8 Yrs

I think this Company is amazing. Been with them for 8 yrs and always paid out quickly. Had my eyes tested Sat 6 Jan requested payment Sat night money was in my account today Wednesday 10th Jan. I used the online form for the first time and couldn’t believe at 76 yrs old how easy I managed it. Was worried about sending proof of receipt but that was so easy to send photo copy. It’s the first site for anything I’ve found easy to do. I would highly recommend Simply Heath as they are so helpful 10/10

Diabolical, Total Farce!

I having been paying for 100% payback emergency cover for many years and now that I have used it Simplyhealth have refused to settle my claim, 6 months I have been battling with totally incompetents. I was referred to a specialist for emergency treatment, the specialist has written to Simplyhealth stating it was an emergency but apparently they know more than the dental specialists and have refused to pay! Please do not waste your money!

Dreadful

Tried to make a claim but they constantly move the goalposts. After 3 weeks of submitting claim and providing more info I had still not heard nothing from them. 3 emails later I finally got a reply requesting even more info. I told them to leave it and to cancel my plan. Absolute joke.

Went with Westfield Health instead, 100% better.

Very Poor Service - They Do Everything Possible Not To Pay

The do everything possible to not pay out. They refused to pay a prescription charge because it was a private presciption charge.

They refused to pay out for 'and MRI' as my dr had recommended it. I will be asking work to stop funding this service and see if they will change as they do anything not to pay out.

They refused to look at a basic investigation for me seeing a private dr. What is the point of the service and all the paperwork if they wont pay out. They are awful and if you get the chance dont use them.

Awful Service

Terrible service from simply health. They wouldn’t pay out on a very basic claim but instead spent months defending it. They hounded my consultant. I wouldn’t recommend these at all. More stress than they’re worth.

True To Your Word.

One of the most sensible applications to join I completed MANY years ago. Never have I had reason to worry about a claim; even if ,occasionally I was posting them thick and fast, with very serious health problems I did ,indeed , at one point, early on wonder if you might inform me that I might be a bad bet to take on and decline my application. I am truly grateful to The Leeds City Hospital Fund,You can be proud of your work and your efficiency as 'Simply health'You bring a sense of happiness to me; and put a smile on my face. Nuff sed !!

My Longtime Experience

My wife and I originally joined the Leeds Hospital fund way back in the late 1940's as did many working people. This fund eventually enjoined the Simply Healthy Fund, the changeover was in our view seamless. Initially as young people we thought it somewhat expensive for we seemed never to make any claims. However as the years went by and age related problems or accidental injury hospital stays became more frequent, we really found our membership valuable in that it helped with the financial costs. As 90 year olds, we are so glad we took the plunge all those years ago,and would highly recommend young people to do just as we did.

Claim

This is the 2nd time I joined simply health and I will be cancelling my DD.

My claim was for £226 and I received £19.70!

The consultation for my crown was one month before the 3 month qualifying period! Yet I did not have / pay for my treatment until after the qualifying period.

Once again big insurance companies win!

Simply Did Not Pay Out

Sent in a claim to simply health for a health assessment which was from a GP however this was rejected as it did not list the tests etc included in the assessment which to be honest my tests have nothing to do with them, I sent in the reciept with the assessment and also stamped by the practice which you are told to send, (another case of we will find an excuse in the small print not to honour)

Q&A

We had a leaflet in hospital showing level of cover available. We pay £32.50 a month and going by the table it states for every night you spend in hospital you can claim. £33 per night. My husband has recently had to spend 16 nights in hospital and we asked the hospital to complete the form and it was signed and returned. By our calculations we were expecting £528 back. We have been refunded £160 which is. £10 per night. When I checked the website it states 10 per night. Why would a leaflet from them quote £33 per night? We feel ripped off!

Not quite sure about this one. On some policies there may be total limits in a policy year to how much you can claim for a hospital stay. Do you still have the leaflet?

Check you policy and terms and conditions of your policy. It may be worth making a complaint and if you are not satisfied try contacting the Financial Ombudsman with your complaint. HOPE THIS HELPS.
