I found Quotesearcher on Google after searching for insurance for our food truck. Previous chats with brokers had been unsuccessful due to the nature of the vehicle. Quotesearcher put me in touch with a couple of brokers called me within a couple of hours, ran through my details and gave me a selection of quotes. All in all, things went well and I found somebody to provide me with cover when my previous attempts with insurance brokers we not fruitful. I'd highly recommend for anybody looking for cover for something out of the ordinary!

Instant phone calls and really competitive prices given. Asked if I had already received any quotes and then beat the quote. Would definitely recommend.

QuoteSearcher's website says "compare quotes online". It doesn't do that.

After filling in all my details, I clicked on "get quotes" and nothing at all appeared.

What did happen was that I was telephoned and given the hard sell by one single insurance company. There was no comparison of quotes, and it wasn't online, completely defeating the object of my using the website. I wanted a variety of quotes I could browse through at leisure, instead I was kept on the phone for ages, repeating the answers to questions I had already filled in online. Exactly what I had been trying to avoid.

Verdict - absolute rubbish

Not all the companies quoted by you contacted me but those that did were courteous and thorough, quoting prices over the telephone and then confirming them on line. Some followed up with another phone call which was fine. None of them were pushy and I did not feel pressured. Some were keen for me to contact them if I received a lower quote and then reduced their price. I have not yet accepted a quote as I am still waiting for the current insurer to offer me a renewal price. My advice to other people looking for insurance is to start looking for quotes early so that you do not feel you have to rush into accepting offers. Make sure you have a pen and paper ready for the phone calls and make a list eg excess, public liability,accidental damage etc making sure each company gives these details so you can make a fair comparison.

Previous insurer refused renewal due to relocation of storage site. No insurer on Quote Searcher panel would provide cover but at least knowing the reason for refusal enabled me to negotiate cover direct with the Caravan Club. Response from Quote Searcher was quick and accurate as some companies I approached direct refused for the same reason.

I was contacted almost immediately by three of your participating members who were enthusiastic on finding me a competitive quotation(s) for PI Insurance. After 5 days I have received two quotations and I wouldn't say they are competative. I am now looking elsewhere to find quotations which are more sympathetic to my requi8rements.
