Ceramic Sink Is Dreadful Quality
We purchased a brand-new ceramic Blanco sink via Wren yeah off to Just 16 months, he has developed a hairline crack in the corner, we do not put any heavy objects in the sink as we have a dishwasher so this is purely 100% manufacturing issue. I spoke to Blanco that was told that because it is out of warranty it’s no longer covered which is disgraceful, considering it is only 16 months old and has had very little use.
So I would avoid this company at all costs as not only is the quality poor, but the customer service is rubbish

Why Are Wren Selling These Sinks
We purchased a Wren kitchen it has only been installed for 3 weeks and the Blanco sink is terrible even water leaves marks and you have to buff the marks out every time you use it.

Excessive Marking On Blanco Etagon Ss Sink
Within 1/2 a hour of using out etagon sink, scratches and marks appeared immediately. At this point I will not waste time going into the background phone calls relating to this issue. This sink was purchased as a steel brushed S/S sink with a satin finish. It turns out we have purchased a stainless steel brushed polished sink with a passivated satin finish coating. The passivated finish scratches very easily and when it is scratched it allows the polished finish of the steel beneath the surface coating to shine through against the dull satin finish. This is why the scratches appear so prominently. Blanco then tell us to carry on using the sink and it will build up patena. This is to take the place of the steel brushed finish we originally thought we were purchasing. Once the passivated coating has been scratched it no longer gives the extra protection from corrosion that Blanco state in their advertisements. This is possibly why in later years people have complained of holes appearing around the waste. I am of the opinion that the retailers have no idea of the way the sink is produced and what they are selling, hence peoples disappointment.
My other issues are the infinowaste trap. The holes in the trap are too long and too wide thus allowing excessive waste to pass through causing the plug not to seal and allowing your hot soapy water to disappear. If you look at the waste trap filter this is made of brushed stainless steel unlike the sink and underneath it shows a brushed polished finish that looks brighter than the satin finish. Also whilst owning this sink we had an emergency and we left the tap running to answer the door and whilst unattended it overflowed very quickly due to the overflow being inadequate as the blanking plate with their logo on covers the majority of the overflow exit obstructing the flow of water. At this point I have probably said enough but I am extremely disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

Disappointed
Having had a Blanco sink in a different house we purchased a Blanco stainless steel sink recently. Very disappointed. It scratches so easily we are reluctant to place anything in it. I cannot believe how scruffy it looks after only a few months. Just awful. May as well have bought hardware shop's own make. Will not buy Blanco again
Totally agree! My stainless steel Blanco sink is months old and it already has significant scratches despite being very careful. Previously I had a stainless steel sink which was very hard wearing and looked good after many years. I would not buy Blanco again. Its possible however that stainless steel is not what it was, generally.
Blanco Sinks Rubbish Rubbish.
Had my blanco stainless steel sink for less than 2weeks.scratched and marked. Would recommend nobody buy these sinks. Should not scratch so easily stainless steel is a hard steel. This must be cheap inferior steel. Do not buy blanco stainless steel sink. They are rubbish.

Water Spots And Discoloration
Very excited to receive this beautiful sink for our newly remodeled kitchen. In less than a week, water spots started showing up when the sink wasn't dried immediately after using it. We also left a glass in the sink over night and now there is a ring left on the sink. We have had the sink for 4 weeks now and we absolutely hate it!! So heart breaking to spend all that money in an brand new beautiful kitchen and we have this eyesore!
I have exactly the same problem worst sink I've ever had and it's only 2 weeks olb

Poor Quality And Marks Extremely Easily.
We were advised by our fitters to go for a Blanco brushed steel sink due their superior quality, always had Franke sinks previously.
Very disappointed with quality very thin and barely holds a single hole mixer tap. On top of this it marks very easily after two months it was in a worse condition than the Franke we replaced after 15 years.
We are a retired couple who live alone and have a dishwasher so sink is not used for washing up occasionally used for soaking clothes and glasses not suitable for dishwasher.
Sink Chipping
Our sink has several very small chips after only 1 1/2 years of use. When I contacted Blanco, their only response was that it was not under warranty. I contacted them twice to ask what could be causing the problem and they did not respond. We have been very careful with the sink and had better luck with a lower end composite granite sink.
Q&A
Are blanco steel sink surfaces etched to produce their satin look?
