There is a manufacturing issue with the glass fronted walnut repro kitchen unit panels.The panels consist of a backing panel which has a glass front.

In removing the old handles and fitting the new handles problem has become evident which has resulted in the glass face shattering over the entire face of one of the units.

On inspection the glass fronted panels all look to have a serious manufacturing issue. The hole centre through the backing panel match the hole centres of the handles. But one of the two holes in the glass front does not match the handle hole centres nor the backing panel hole centre. This is out by approximately half the hole diameter.

When the plastic insert is placed into the holes the screws are pushed out by over half the hole diameter making it difficult to tighten. This induces stress within the glass front which has caused it to shatter. The shatter pattern of the glass face centred on the misaligned glass hole.

I have taken numerous photographs showing the damaged panel and additional photographs of two undamaged panels (as examples) with the same manufacturing issues. I have sent these photographs to both Kutchenhaus (the UK supplier) and Nobilia. I have yet to receive any reply from either company even after repeatedly emailing the companies and waiting for six week.
