Avoid
I hope Sheridan's contact all us unhappy customers. The worktops have badly let down our "dream" kitchen and nothing in the maintenance kit is able to resolve the totally unsuitable surface they have designed here. I think Trading Standards might support a group action against the manufacturers?

Cracked Surface
After about three months a crack appears where two surfaces joined, we contacted Wickes and someone came out from Sheridans to fix it. No problem, all good. A few months later and a crack appears in the same place. Again we contact Wickes and they ask us to send photos to send to Sheridans. Sent photos but the response this time is 'you've leaned on it too hard or put pressure on it' (I don't recall ever having done either). Wickes say we'd have to pay to have it fixed. Eventually we offer to pay and the response it "Sheridans don't offer this service anymore". We literally bought it because the woman who sold it to us assured us we'd be able to get it fixed by the supplier if there was ever an issue. I can't find anyone to fix it so we're left with an increasingly bigger crack. I could cry.

Slab Tech Need Help
i am having the kitchen done, started in planing at show room in October 2022 . when i was in the showroom i asked if i could put hot pans on the surface of the slab tech product and was told i could. when the slab tech was fitted i was horrified that this was not true and in fact i had to be very carful not to stain it with hot tea spills or spicy foods and not to use bleach on it and to clean spills off immediately .i have contacted howdens about this and someone came around and said all worktops stain and you cannot put hot pans on any worktop. i did not believe her. i have now contacted trading standards in regard to this product being miss sold.
PLEASE can you contact me and let me know what happened in your case and did it get sorted out.
i am looking at legal action against them this worktop costing £2,700 plus that is "not fit for purpose"
thank you in advance for your help
We have the same issue with staining and sheridans refuse to do anything about it saying we aren't looking after them and cleaning them properly! Did you have any luck with trading standards?
Hi, how did you get on with your legal action, did it get fixed? I got a surface fitted a month ago, we’re not even living in the house yet and it’s already scratched even though it’s supposedly scratch resistant, I have also been mis-sold and I’m looking to take legal action. Was yours resolved?

Terrible... Everything Stains It.
years ago I had a EarthStone worktop which was very good. I thought this was a similar product.
It looks nice BUT for is a useless product.. we have it in our kitchen and there are only 2 of us and we are very tidy but ANYTHING stains it - coffee, tea, stock cubes, tomato sauce and tinned tomatoa, curry paste, pesto I could go on and on. bascially my kitchen worktop is pretty much made up with various things to protect it! One of the joins can be seen slightly as well but this is more due to the fitting I would think.
I was told that the more I use the StoneGuard to polish the worktop this would help protect it from stains and it would build up layers of protection... 6 months in I can see no evidence of this.
The only slight good news is so far I haven't had a stain I could not eventually polish out with the brillo pad and the cream cleanser but I daren't have a stain dry on. and really should you need that much elblow grease to keep a kitchen worktop clean? A laminate is much easier to clean and of course much cheaper. I notice that Howdens have now taken over this product, lets hope they change the ingredients of it as I understand that the amount or resin could well be the issue....
Please don't buy it, if you really do want it I would recommend you get a sample first and do a stain test before you buy it.
Hi, did you manage to get it fixed, what was the end result, I’m looking to take legal action against howdens as they have mis-sold the same scratch and stain resistant worksurface. I have a feeling they have done this to many people.
can you tell me if you got the worktop sorted out please as i am in conflict with howdens over my work top. please let me know, my email address is [email protected]

Stains & Scratches
Apollo Slab Tech is not fit for a garage, let alone a Kitchen worktop. Anything scratches it. My Wife and I are very gentle with everything, but this worktop is practically useless. And their cream cleaner and stone guard do nothing to protect the surface. Do not purchase this product whatsoever. I would suggest a cheaper wood surface that has far less maintenance needs. Shocking! A massive let down, as we love the look of it.
Snap. Has anyone processed with action? Or had apology/remedy? The Apollo worktop is absolutely not fit for purpose. Had ours fitted early 2021 and SO disappointed with "investing" in supposedly higher quality work surfaces. Problems from normal use from day two!
Hi
Did you get any further with this?
Did you take any action against them?
Hi, we are in the same situation, we got our surface fitted a month ago, it’s already had scratches and stains even though they sold it to us as stain and scratch resistant, did you manage to sort your worksurface or are you stuck with it? We are now looking to take legal action to revive a refund for the surface as we want to go elsewhere for our worksurface

Do Not Use
Worktop fitted by Sheridan. After a month we noticed a hairline crack. We had to pay £170 for Sheridan to come and have a look. A firm called Nash stone turned, and they said that it was a fitting issue, not enough glue on the joint. Waited a couple of months but nothing. Phoned wickes who said that Sheridans report said that we had damaged it, by someone standing on the Worktop. Wickes basically didn't want to know. These Worktops aren't cheap but the workmanship and customer service by wickes and Sheridan worktops are very poor to say the least. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Dont Do It
I wish I had seen these reviews before choosing slabtech.i was assured it was a hard wearing product but I've found it to be an absolute nightmare. I was telling everyone off for the Marks and stains but now realise that you only have to breathe on it and it needs scrubbing. I waited a long time for my dream kitchen and every day this worktop spoils it for me.
No one is interested, wickes continue to deal with Sheridan's even though the products and service is terrible.

Awful Worktop
We had our Apollo worktop installed by our own installer but supplied by Wickes. It is the most awful worktop and I totally agree with all the other comments about scratching. We have had it now for 5 years and looks dreadful. We tried to contact Apollo in the first 6 months but nobody replied. I'm stuck with this rubbish piece of workmanship as there is nothing I can do to make it look nice even though I am more than careful using trivets, mats etc. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
I too wish I had read the personal reviews and not taken the salesman word for it.

Absolutely Horrendous
One star is too generous....do not touch with a barge pole. The joins are visible and the worktop shows up EVERYTHING. For months I had to cover the worktop with tea towels as I was so worried about staining.
Utter nightmare to clean and maintain. I was promised a seam-free worktop that was easy to clean....the reality is a surface that looks dirty, marked and scratched and takes ages to clean. The moulded sink is even worse....
Sheridan’s have zero customer service....if you have an issue they don’t want to know. They blame anything accept their product. My dream kitchen that took so long to save up for is ruined because of this substandard worktop. If I had the money, I’d rip it out and replace with anything else.
Hi, we are in the same situation, did you manage to fix your worksurface , take legal action, change the surface etc?
Hi, did you take any legal action against them? We are currently in the same situation

I am in total agreement with everything that has been said. I had my own experienced builder install my worktops and he struggled to achieve a seam-free worktop. When I complained to Sheridans about the quality of their product they blamed the issues on my builder and the installation!
Do not go anywhere near this product or Sheridans.
Omg we have had ours for just over 12 months and it has been horrendous. I was left thinking they possibly didn't coat it as it stains so easily!! The only thing to lift the strains was bleach on a cloth. It's a nightmare! It's pure white and constantly makes my gorgeous kitchen look untidy/dirty!! And you can see a join but only 4 inches long it looks shocking and scratches. I'm So gutted that we were sold something as non porous when mine clearly isnt, even tea strains it is shocking!!

Shine Or Not To Shine
Slabtech Sea Mist installed 18 months ago, the fitter said the surfaces are made up of millions of scratches which over time would become shiney, not sure how long I have to wait, constantly wiping and buffing up the surface, but as I'm in my 70's I don't have the stamina or time for such an effort, used up the product he left me and have now gone on to Mr Muscle as recommended by him, but still dries smeary, so disappointed, as I love my new kitchen apart from the surfaces. Due to my great age this will be my last kitchen and am wondering if I will live long enough to see a shine
I am surprised you gave this product 3 stars, I am so glad I decided to read all of these reviews, they have made my decision NOT to buy
