Value For Money
Spares
If you buy any Titan Product ask about spares first and check through that you can get them I have a Titan Pro 420 and have phoned the company to ask for spares only to be told the director will get back to me it never happens all I need are some belts as mine have broken due to hitting carpet buried in the ground. The machine as served me well and was quite happy until trying to get belts for it SO BEWARE SPARES
Value For Money
Beware! Damaged Goods, No Return/refund (illegal) Horrific!!
I ordered a TP 420 X in October 2011, it appeared good value for money, emails were answered quickly, the YouTube video looked good and when I phoned them they answered quickly, putting my mind at rest over a few minor points. I was advised that I would expect to take delivery within 3-5 working days. After 10 days the rotovator had still not arrived, more emails were exchanged but it finally took one month from ordering the rotovator to delivery. I wish that was the end of the problems but unfortunately it was only the start.
As soon as I opened the box it was immediately obvious that the unit was faulty. The box itself was undamaged, the rotovator was secured to a robust steel frame by 3 screws, however the 4th screw was missing. It was clear that due to the fact that the rear axel was seriously out of alignment it would have been impossible for the 4th screw to ever have been fitted. Therefore, it was obvious to the retailer that they were actually sending out a defective unit. Titan Pro 'technical' department asked me to fix the problem myself by unscrewing bolts on the drive shaft and then with the use of a hammer to break the seals to the oil container (factory sealed) in order for me to re-align the driveshaft/axel. After various attempts it became utterly clear that the rotovator was defective and it could never be of merchantable quality. I supplied photos to Titan by email and they acknowledged that there was a problem but they stated that they would not offer a refund and they do not pay for the collection of their goods (faulty or not), but they would offer advise to me over the phone as to how I could try to repair their faulty goods!! The fact is that Titan Pro broke the law in not refunding my money and collecting the machine. I informed them that i was fully aware that they are bound by the distance selling act to refund my money in full, including delivery costs as I had rejected the goods within 5 working days. They arrogantly refused so I had no option but to seek redress from my credit card (under section 75 of the sale of goods act) and I recieved a full refund.
Make your own decision whether or not you use this company however be fully aware of the way that they carry out business and I would advise that you definitely use your credit card for any transactions otherwise you will have absolutely no protection. In conclusion, a terrible experience with an outrageously, unprofessional company.
I don't suppose you still have the manual as I need a copy
WOW. Was just gonna order a rotavator from Titan, after your review "No Way" they sound absolutely unprofessional and a bunch of chancers. Thanks for the advice.
