Wheelchair was good quality, and delivery was was within the time-scale (half day delivery slots). However, the collection time slot was a full day, and the company was unable to confirm a narrower time-slot. This meant waiting around at home most of the day for collection. Fine if not working, but no good if at work and having to take time off just to wait for a collection. They do noit mention this aspect oon their web-site. I would rate the company much higher if they could improve this aspect of their service.

I am still renting a wheel scooter and without it I would be chair bound, I have had an operation on my toes and have a plaster on, I have torn stomach muscles so cannot use crutches. This scooter is my freedom, everyone I see want to know where I got it from. I have at least another three weeks of plaster on leg and although we live in a small flat it takes me from room to room, and outside. The only downside is the handlebar grip on one side keeps slipping so have to push it on. I knew what I was getting before it came it was easy to put up, I didn't find the brake hold until this Sunday but it was probably on the instructions but my husband didn't read it. This scooter has been on a cruise with me as I say a life line.

I snapped my Achilles tendon and before the operation I chatted to a couple of people who had experienced the same injury. They both stressed that during the first two months of recovery when they relied on crutches they had great difficulty doing simple chores like making and carrying a cup of tea. Also the degree of muscle loss in the damaged calf and thigh.

I researched the internet and came across the 'Orthopedic Knee Trolley' offered by Wheelfreedom.

To say that it changed the course of my recovery is an understatement. The trolley allowed me to stand normally, to move freely round the house, to cook Sunday Lunch, to be independant. I could make a meal as normal, carry it one handed to the couch were I was resting, all by scooting along using my good leg.

It was so effective that I hired a second one for upstairs so that I could move easily around the bedroom and bathroom and stand at the sink to wash and shave as normal.

It is only now that I am in the later stages of recovery, still in a boot, but hobbling around, that I appreciate just how mobile I was on the Trolley. I almost regret sending them back!

One word of advice though, it is not a toy. Spend an hour carefully moving around to get used to it. On hard floors it moved quickly. Perfect for gliding across the room with style once you are used to it.

I am so pleased I found Wheelfreedom and the extremely useful Trolley. I would recommend it to anyone with an Achilles issue because the recovery period is so long and so the ability to live and stand normally is so important.

I found this service to be helpful, efficient, rapid and reliable. Within 24 hours of calling an easy to use wheelchair was delivered to our home. It was lightweight and easy to push and comfortable for my son to sit in. I would definitely recommend this service.

Found your company on the internet. Only took one phone call and the wheel chair was delivered the next day. Minimum assembly required. It made a huge difference to my mum to have a suitable chair that was comfortable, and adjustable to allow for sudden changes in her blood pressure. Once the wheelchair was no longer needed, again just one quick phone call, and it was collected the next day. Completely hassle free. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I broke a bone in my foot and could not walk except with crutches so rented a knee scooter from Wheelfreedom. It arrived the day after I called and was collected a few hours after I called to say I no longer needed it. I can honestly say it saved my sanity as it meant I could scoot around the house and did not need to go everywhere on crutches. I even went to the shopping mall on it - it folds up and fits in the boot of a smallish car and meant I could cover ground that I would not have managed on crutches. It had the added benefit of putting pressure on the thigh of the bad leg as when stationary the position is the same as if you were standing. I would highly recommend the product and service. I hired a knee scooter following ankle surgery. I couldn't have managed without this product, but it had some big drawbacks. It wasn't very stable (I had a few tumbles) and the cushioning provided was inadequate, but I customised an old garden kneeler which did the job. The scooter was in quite a grubby condition when it arrived, but I was so grateful to have some mobility restored that I just cleaned it myself.
